I agree. Acting was spot on, very realistic. However, Closed Captions are horrible throughout the series so far. Who does these? And why haven't they been corrected? It's hard to catch the dialogue at times... Otherwise a big Thank You for this series which I never saw. 🎥🕵️🎭🇺🇸👏
It was good to see his down trodden wife had moved on and was glowing when he went to see her. Him, knowing she had moved on with someone else, took the wind out of his sails. Another excellent episode. Great series. Thanks for uploading
And great to re-live some of these shows with an old RAF buddy of mine Tom Georgeson. We were in Germany together, and I even got Tom out running with me! Great memories!
great show but i have to declare.. as a white kid in 1990 i was pulled over without driving or nothing just walking home...every fucking night we walked home..it was a matter of course. when the law pulled up, we got shaken down, searched and roughed up because we were unaware of our rights. btw, im white and so were my friends and we lived in Eltham, which is quite central
Why was the pizza delivery boy allowed up to the canteen with the pizzas. I would have thought that the normal procedure was to leave them at the front counter to be collected.
trainrover It's not pretentiousness. It's that in Hollywood acting is only seen as one thread in a package of marketable media talents alongside presenting, modelling, dancing, singing that enable someone to achieve celebrity. In the UK there's more of a stagecraft tradition of training in it and teaching it for its own intrinsic artistic value. What's funny is in America often a screen actor will then dabble in theatre afterwards to prove their acting mettle as opposed to here where they often already started out in that world.
Seems the writing here makes one despise, or at least dislike the major couple of interest. What a relief the writer finally had Tony’s superior call him out.
You're right as US & UK cultures are often very different. In the UK people have a different sense of humour and a different sense of the dramatic. If you watch BtVS you'll hear UK allusions galore - nobody ever expects the "the Spanish Inquisition"!
So many well known actors when they were young💜
I think the most moving 'Between The Lines' episode.

@nlgbbbblth Now, now. Is that any way to talk about the great Lesley Vickerage?
Thank you for posting this series on your RUclips channel

Some people don't know when they're well off, and when they find out it's often too late... Clark's a disaster on the matrimony front.

So much better than the shit on tv today
Remember when you were young and old people used to say everything on the telly was shit?
Steven McIntosh. Such an underrated actor. Was brilliant in Prime Suspect playing 'the Street' chatacter.

And it was Pizza Hut!

Spartacus series
Great series. Any chance of enabling the closed captions facility?
Pearsons character is like a dog on heat …perpetually .
The days when a healthy lifestyle meant low tar cigarettes
So why are the likes of Hollywood actors *so* crappy, I sense no pretentiousness with British drama actors over the decades?!

Maybe because these stories are slightly different culturally they are far more intriguing than US cop shows. ..!!??
