Nobody does crime drama like the British. Low on blood and guts, high on psychological effects and drama. Great cast, great writing, looking forward to more!
I love British Crime drama series. There was nothing good after Frost and Vera. Thank you so much for posting this on RUclips for us to watch for free 🙏 Grateful in Brazil🇧🇷💖🇧🇷💖
The thing I like about British drama (or at least the old stuff) is that they never routinely cast "pretty" people like US dramas did. They trusted the audience to like the shows for the plots and cast real looking people, not catalogue models. If the character was meant to be good looking then they cast as such, otherwise the cast looks like people you would meet on the street. It added a lot to the believability of the plot.
Mind-blowing series, I have never watched this kind of drama series. It's more related to real life. I couldn't help myself until I watched all the episodes.
I REALLY LOVE ENGLISH SERIES BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM MOST POPULAR AMERICAN SERIES, THEY ARE NOT STEREOTYPICAL, THEY HAVE A SPECIFIC WAY OF INTERPRETATION WHICH IS MUCH CLOSER TO REALITY THAN ALL THE OTHERS.THEY HAVE A DEVELOPED ABILITY TO SHOW THE PSYCHOLOGY OF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM, AND THE LIFE OF A PARTICULAR PERSON, SO THAT A MAN CAN IDENTIFY WITH IT, BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ADRENALINE AND ACTION, ON WHICH AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHY IS BASED.AND IT'S NOT ALL BLACK OR WHITE, IT'S ABOUT THE SHADES OF GRAY WHICH WE CAN OFTEN FIND IN EVERYDAY LIFE.A TRULY EXCELLENTLY CREATED STORY WHERE A MAN CAN'T REMAIN IMMUNE, WHICH IS THE POINT OF THE MOVIE... TO REMAIN IN YOUR MEMORIES FOR A WHILE AND TO TAKE A LESSON FROM EVERYTHING YOU'VE SEEN AND MAYBE YOU'LL FIND A SOLUTION OF YOUR OWN DIFFICULTIES. I'M GLAD THAT THEY EXTENDED THE DURATION THROUGH THE CONTINUATIONS OF THE SERIES BECAUSE IT ALSO DEALS WITH VERY DELICATE SUBJECTS THAT REQUIRE TIME FOR OBSERVATION AND UNDERSTANDING.GREETINGS TO EVERYONE FROM ZAGREB, CROATIA!!!🌬️🌀🌌🙏
what galls me the most after seeing this in real life 5 times in NZ the police absolutely refuse to admit they made a mistake got anything wrong or in the most egregious case the police officer who PLANTED crucial evidence wasnt punished fired or even reprimanded
I love the complexity of this series. I have to backtrack sometimes to review who is who and what happened - but that’s all part of the fun. You guys are wonderful to share these with us. You are MIND expanders!
If that incident does not happened in front of you and no video proof of it, please give yourself a benefit of the doubt and not falling for any slander, do not blindly believe everything that happened that you are not a witness of...
Thank you for this. I'm so used to there being a whole series to watch on you tube that I'm surprised to find its only Ep. 1. 😢😂 Thanks a lot, anywho. Much appreciated
This is looking like a really good series! The only comment that I have is that I am surprised that British Law allows the police to continue investigating a person after they have been aquited three times. I'm American but not at all in love with the American legal system. HOWEVER, in America, once someone has been found innocent of murder, they cannot be re-tried again and again.
They can, for a different crime. That's what LE goes after when they are sure a person is guilty of a specific crime but is acquitted on a technicality. They can also be charged for the same crime if new evidence comes to light.
Mistrials and verdicts are different. Americans can re-tri in perpetuity if they want. They just usualy choose to see if they can deal after a mistrial, but double jeopardy doesn't apply to mistrials, just verdicts.
@@mumtazamiri6409it is exceptionally difficult to have something admitted as new evidence, because it has to come with an explanation of why it wasn't availabke during the first trial, and if it is valid and relevant. A new witness statement (for example) wouldn't be allowed.
He wasn't found innocent. He was acquitted because the jury couldn't agree on a verdict and therefore the judge let him go. Also, there is no such thing as double jeopardy in the UK anymore. That was done away with years after the Stephen Lawrence murder but still related to that case (look up the case - it's a well known one in the UK).
@@mum2jka it's not an acquittal if a jury can't decide on a verdict; it's a mistrial. "Not agreeing on a verdict" cannot be a verdict. By definition, they did not agree on a verdict. It is a mitrial until he can be re-tried.
Great story line. Looking forward to getting it all put. Siblings do fight. Some even try to kill eachother. Will see how deep the jealousy ran. Thank you for sharing. God bless
Why does the senior policeman sit in darkness? And no lighting in the pub! And during the meeting about access. And the lawyers office? Yes, electricity is expensive, but really!!So weird!
Only one thing I find strange and unrealistic is how can he recognize his kids if he has not seen them for 7 years ? They were 5 and 8, and now outside their school he watches them and know who they are. His old friend by the boats he attacks violantly ??? That man should press charges at once and he will be back behind bars again.
@@irenejennings7810 This is a by numbers plot. First a bunch of people will be made to look suspicious. So...look for the person who is not being made to look suspicious, and who often gets cast in this sort of role.
While watching these British crime shows, do any of you ever wonder, 'Why the f**k can't Great Britain give up those damn wigs in their courts? They are archaic and ridiculous."
no matter the circumstances, grandparents should not try to influence a child against the parent. they will figure it out soon enough. it best if they come to their own conclusion. if the parent was/is bad the child will see it. if you poison the child against the parent and it turns out they "didn't do it" then the child will have ill will against the grandparents and the grandparents could be left without the children. they do need to be kept safe, however.

British is really genius in psychological drama series.
I absolutely LOVE British Series and Movies ❤
Agreed, and I'm not British
The reason I watched most of them and still am hungry for more.. 😋
Brits got this!

Exactly my thoughts!
The people are real people and i ❤ how in depth they get wo all the wierd😂
Especially "pretty people" that looks NOTHING like the real people,😊i
That´s nice. What about the fact that there are many more good looking women in the USA than in The UK, especially in
Hollywood and NYC
Well said😊
TU! TU! TU! British shows hands down are my favorite & the BEST. 👍🌻
Thanks so much for all these BRITISH crime dramas. Brilliant
Lose the commercials and we might watch.
Excellent series….the Brits know how to do it! From a Canadian fan.

Mad about British crime drama. Fan South Africa
I like the fact that the men are questioning themselves and that a shroud of doubt exist. I think he’s innocent

I really LOVE this. Only one problem is: the men look and sound too much alike and I'm confused about who is who.
That's because the Lord created us in His own image and there is only one God ! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Excellent show, I had to go and watch the full series on another platform.
Almost unknown actors but great acting and great directing..
The cast is mostly renown outside of the US.
Good story, funny to see Lee Ingleby as a “questionable” baddie. Time will tell!

watching Brit know-how being swiftly snuffed out by merely kleptoparasitic boardroom decisions... 🍿🍿🍿
