Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I appreciate your real world experience. Many reviewers spend so much time comparing vehicles to the “best in class” that it takes focus away from the benefits of the vehicle being reviewed. The CVT haters have trashed this vehicle thoroughly across you tube, so thank you for the real world perspective of people who are the intended market for this one.
No problem! That’s exactly what I wanted to do with this video. Make an honest review for people in the market that doesn’t trash the car but gives you an idea of what it’s like to live with day to day.
Thanks for reviewing the SV model. Too often reviewers have the top of the line model. I agree with others who feel that this model is the one most people are likely to buy.
Just purchased this vehicle about 3 weeks ago and I'm in love💜 Owned a rogue from 2012 to 2020, bought a tahoe for more room. I have major back problems so climbing in and out of the tahoe was a struggle and causing more wear and tear on my back. Knowing that the rogue I had owned before never gave me any issues, I test drove this and brought it home lol. The ride is amazing, literally like riding on a cloud!! Did keep the Tahoe for hauling purposes but this is definitely the primary ride. For those considering this vehicle, please dont sleep on it. They are selling FAST!!! The cvt really is almost non detectable and the feel of the ride is amazing! Also for those with back issues, the seats are a dream and you stay comfortable for several hours if you are planning a long trip!
I can confirm I have back problems myself and have been going to chiropractors and everything for years. This vehicle has not given me any issues or pain whatsoever. Very supportive and comfortable seating position. I also feel that going from a car to the rogue helped me out by no having to bend so much getting in and out. My back has never felt better lol
@@SmokinMonkeyOG Yes! I can literally slide right in and out of this vehicle!! My son who is paralyzed from the waist down is also able to transfer himself from his wheelchair into the rogue very easily as well. The dealerships around here are running low on the sv models, and for good reason💜
The seats keep me awake with lower butt pain from the pinching side bolsters. The blind spots in the rear from the headrests and heavy C pillar are bad. The camera system is awesome and the Rogue is far quieter than other CUVs. The fact that the engine has no auto stop / start is fantastic. The driving position is tall and supportive (with a gel seat pad to help) and the arm rests are very comfortable. The start button is in an odd location and hard to reach. I would have liked another USB on the forward dash and the shifter takes some getting used to.
Great review. I like seeing a mid-level trim model reviewed. I think this trim is the one most people will buy. The Platinum is nice, but most folks don't buy the highest level trim.
Nice review. I've had my 21 Rogue AWD SV since December and it's been a great drive. I'm in Colorado and it's reliable and strong going over the Continental Divide. Just got 20 plus inches of snow and this car is an absolute beast driving through deep frozen and slushy ruts on side streets. I used the snow mode and had to flip to mountain mode which blasts thru DEEP snow. It may not be tough enough for serious off road but this car is snow ready. No issues. The only thing that bugs me is Lane Keep but it works great on the interstate. In town, Lane Keep is worthless but its not designed for that.
Hello William, do you know if your gas cap locks when the rest of the vehicle is locked and the key fob is far away from the vehicle? I’m trying to figure out if this is normal or if it’s something I need to get fixed, plus I prefer to have a gas cap that locks
@@traleciawilson Hey there. The door covering the fuel fill stays unlocked even if the car doors are locked. Dang. I'm glad you mentioned that because I assumed it locked.
@@williampulley I’m definitely going to mention it to the dealership because you would think it locks along with everything else. Thanks for replying though
Really learned a lot from your thorough, informative and well done review! I've been driving a Kia Soul for the past several years. A fun car but I'm going to need more interior room. The 2 top choices for me are the 2021 Nissan Rogue and the Mazda CX-5. I've not taken them for a test drive yet but have sat in them. Both really nice. I think there is more 2nd row passenger space in the Rogue. I have to admit that, from reviews, I've been concerned with the Rogue having a CVT but it sounds like it's satisfactory for you. Its front passenger cup holders being so near to the important electronics, shift controller etc is also a bit concerning. The Mazda's front passenger seats many people find are uncomfortable for long drives. Time for actual test drives. Thanks again for your review!
Nice Analysis from an Original User/Driver (Not Profi Fairy Tale tellers of all art) , that I was looking for !!! Like I was hearing my best friend !!! After 15 years I will buy my new SUV, so I want to be the best choice. Rogue SV AWD is Nr.1 in my short list, Rav4 the 2. But I must wait until 2022 at least, to see what kind of Rogue=X-trail with smaller engines will come to Europe-Athens-GRE .
Thanks for your detail review! We are shopping to buy a compact SUV. Rogue is one of our options, but even the S trim now is more than 32k. Do you mind to share where you bought your car from? I am from Alberta Canada
How do you lock the gas cap. I have found that the gas cap remains unlocked even when the doors and trunk are locked and the key fob is over 30 feet away from the vehicle.
Ya just checked mine it does not lock. It should but I guess they never added it in this model. Just don’t piss people off so nobody pours something into your gas tank lmao
6500km so far and it’s actually not bad at all. I thought I would hate the CVT but it’ drives like any other car. You put your foot down it drops a few gears and picks up pretty good. I don’t have any complaints
It’s all personal preference lol I like cloth because it’s more comfortable to sit on, it’s also not hot in the summer and not cold in the winter. It all ages better since it doesn’t crack and get wear marks like leather. But it’s really up to you. The leather is really nice and makes the car look a lot more sophisticated and more upscale but I still like cloth.
Thank you. I am reviewing the SUV Nissan's . I really want a Volvo XC60 but Nissan's are such better in price. I just don't want something that is going to break down often or be dangerous in an accident Hence wanting the Volvo
Does anyone know how to connect the wireless Apple CarPlay. I’ve tried so many ways and not even the dealer knows 🤦🏾♂️. And the the FCW doesn’t work. The thing hasn’t beeped or warned me when I’m close to a car or a car cuts me off. Nice car but has many flaws
Make sure your phone is unlocked, and that you accepted car play on your phone and allowed it to connect. But your phone might need to be plugged in the first time by cable to get it to recognize your phone and not automatically bring up anyone’s phone in the car when you have passengers. Might also need to be unlocked every time you get in the car so it connects. Even if I plug my phone in if I don’t unlock it it doesn’t come up on the screen. As for the FCW it won’t do anything of someone cuts you off or if you get close to a car it will only activate when you are moving much faster than the object in-front of your vehicle and not already braking. Like a car slowing down or a child in the street. Then it will give you an auditory chime and flash on the gauge cluster to warn you. Also if the sensors are not activated because the system is not on in the options menu it won’t work either. Or if the sensor on the emblem is too dirty to function. Hope this helps.

I can turn all safety features off if desired on my 2019 Chevy Equinox, individually

I have a 2021 Rogue Platinum trim with 4000 miles on it. AC and climate control not working and Nissan forums are full of the same complaints.
@@lauriemcbain7021 Hi, did you get your AC problem resolved?

I didn’t purchase it myself I got mine through work as a company car sorry wish I could help you out
What's are you getting on the HWY? MPG
I’m in Canada so I don’t get mpg reading I get Litres per 100km and mine burns 7 litres per 100 km on the highway

Which seat covering is the best, cloth , vinyl or leather? I’m leaning to cloth so I can get a solid non-glass roof.
