Sitting here with my 2022 Civic Sport. I love it! 3300 miles on it already. Can pull 38mpg in good driving conditions such as freeways or anything with steady speeds. Gets around 26-27mpg average in city it seems.
Bad gas mileage and you paid waaaayyyyy to much for a now extremely over priced econo car. These cars should be under 20 grand still. That's all they are. Sorry not to offend you but hype and bullshit "Chip Shortage" excuse made these cars stupidly overpriced. I don't think I'd buy a car at all in this market. The car dealers New and Used are full of shit out to rape everyone they can.
@@RogerBrenon Well car prices are up and probably never going down. Welcome to inflation. 30k is the new 20k. Funny how you say I overpaid but people literally spend twice as much on vehicles that get half the gas milage.
@@gigorahk4740 Forget that guy. You're absolutely right. Prices will not be coming down. I'm thinking about trading in my truck for a Civic Sport. They fly off the lot so I need to be ready to pull the trigger. Did you get the hatchback? I'm really torn

Confused as I saw your cars to stay away from, and it that report you criticize Genesis as all their cars are pretty much new and you recommend to stay away until they solve all the twitches! Yet here you recommend their GV80 as the best Luxury SUV?!? Still, I like it very much, it is a very nice SUV!
I have been seriously considering the Honda Ridgeline, but I also like the RAV4. I don't needa hybrid and I am not willing the pay $20,000 more for the RAV4 Prime that a local dealer wanted to charge. I can wait for prices to go back to normal.
Hi Shari, I would have picked the Toyota Tacoma, Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Tundra and Toyota Corolla Cross over any Honda/Acura. That is just me after owning Hondas/Acuras for 3 decades and have gravitated towards Toyota/Lexus solely in the last decade. Toyota/Lexus is the pinnacle of durability and quality if anyone wants to keep their vehicle for 20+ years. Yes, if you rustproof them with Krown yearly.
All amazing choices. I almost went with the Tacoma but the Ridgeline is just so much easier to live with day to day. The Tacoma though is a better true truck or old school truck if that makes sense.
@@carhelpcorner The Tacoma is built to last, even rear brakes are drums which in our Canadian climate it is the best setup hands down. It protects the components from all the salt and water.
I drive 90% city, approx 5,200 km/y. 1 or 2 passengers ( 3 max). What about new or used PHEV: Ioniq, Corolla, Prime ( centre dash confusing) or ... any suggestions ? Toronto Canada
5,200km/y is not much. You don't really drive enough to justify spending the extra money on a PHEV. I would save the money and just buy a Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, or maybe a Corolla Hybrid if you want a HEV. If you just want a normal gas car, Carhelpcanada.com can save you some money and help you get a good deal too.

I purchased a new 2007 Huyndai Sonata. I change the oil myself. No problems at 167000 miles so far. I own two Toyota vehicles. Toyota is more durable and in my opinion will last over 300k with proper maintenance. They worth the price.
How about life span like forklifts or tractors still on the road since 1960's like lada 06 but I really want lifetime guaranteed cars in north America.

It has a 5 year warranty so I wouldn't hesitate leasing one for a few years. None of the issues seem to be major anyways.
😜 The cars you say to avoid are the ones you recommend!
NUTS!! 🙈
I think that both the Civic and Rav4 are made in Canada, which for me is an important argument in favour of both.
FYI, the Civic sedan is made in Canada and the Civic hatchback is made in the U.S.
Civic made in US

The Ridgeline isn't a truck it's a open corgo compartment suv.
I want Mazda CX 5, a great car too
Screw cars, you lose it in a car
The genesis logo looks like the mini logo
Totally agree.
The new logo of Kia looks cool, though.
Love my Honda Civic!
I like these , but you need more synonyms for the word “definitely.”
Excelent information
Most of what you mentioned is not available here 🙁
Fairy tales. CA boy. Nothing to do with whole country. You need to pay $5k-10k plus msrp in Florida even for civic and Corolla.
Pretty tough to say a car is good if it hasn't been driven for a year or two
Sorry, but Honda Ridgeline doesn't belong on this list. It does not have the practicality of the new Frontier or the Tacoma.
I want a 2022 civic but you cant find them on the lot
Same
I was hoping you would say it's the beige corolla...
It was a very close second
Maybe if the Ridgeline wasn’t hideous it would be worth the money
