An excellent video ,clear, concise, informative and useful. This channel ( though brilliant) had been lacking in the karate department so it's nice to see this. I have seen Jesse-san's video's before and if memory serves English is his 3rd or 4th language! So extra respect for that. I would be very happy to see more of this collaboration.
I don't know about the time of your comment, but there are plenty of Karate and even Taekwondo vids now. The main styles I've seen from Karate being Kyokushin & British "Freestyle". There's also a bunch of K1 vids, which take bits from Kyokushin.
Thank you Mr Enkampe. You've helped me to *finally* hit that breakthrough on what karate's "hip-shake" or "hip-vibration" principle is. It had eluded me for some time now. :)
Pure hip rotation powers hooks; thrusting hips power straight punches. Front knee moving toward target adds body mass to straight blow. Rotation alone, with front knee not advancing toward target, removes body mass from the energy transfer. Think vectors. Hit the bag (or a friend) both ways to confirm.
Thanks for sharing! Such a pleasure to share my work with your audience. Keep up the great work Stuart-san! :-)
Those are some very informative tips. Thanks Jesse.
Jesse Enkamp hmu with a follow bud! Missed you on nh!

Brilliant video, thank you
Jesse never fails to impress. The hip is the hardest to use.
This video is gold
very good topic
Thanks mate but shouldn't we transfer the weight more which results in the pivot on the heel of the supporting leg?
This really helps a lot
Thanks

Gotta get me on this bud!
Now I just have to learn coordination, to keep my elbow tucked on an Isshinryu straight punch, at the same time.
That bag will need counselling 😢
Nay!! You denies resurrection and reconning so you could desire to continue committing sins.
