This exercises are helpful for my Taekwondo Kicks.
Yeah. Was translating the kicks to koerean, but the last one.. dollyochagi, dwichuck dollyo an chagi?
@@arnefines2356 yap hurigi chagi, or side hook kick (as your opponent would definitely be on your sides even tho in English it usually translates into simply 'hook kick')
J.C The Heboh-Man Dwidora bandae dollyochagi or as you said, from still stance, not turning around first, dwi hueregi chagi.
My hip extenders would hurt all week
Honestly love to watch him even though I do taekwondo
Jesse's stability is unbelievable ❤️
Thanks for sharing Sensei. This looks intense. As a 47 year old yellow belt, I might need to work up to that, but doing this will be a goal of mine.
i guess you have made much progress since this comment was posted , sempai!
Happy new Year 2021...and thanks...four your all clips..best wishes...
Thanks a bunch friend Sensei Jesse to remind me my childhood training... 👍👊👍
Give thanhks for all the great karate practice drills U share on this channel!! These drills really work and they're fun to do when training with the lil guys🤗💯.
These are great exercises for static active flexibility! Definitely gonna make my students do them.
My doctor said i have a serious addiction problem i said you're right doc I'm a addicted to the karate nerd channel on RUclips 😏😬
Those exercises are really useful , I have a lot of trouble using my right leg so I’ll try this method to improve my mae Geri and yoko Geri ! Thank you so much a clear and helpful explanation as always :)
That first one is like thumb wars, but with your feet. 😏
Man... Those are awesome exercises! Thanks so much for The lesson! Kind regards from Brazil.
I barely can kick mawashi geri, ura mawashi for me is almost impossible.
Sensei Jesse i would like to request you show us more Agro and powerful karate moves i wanna see how much offence you can pull off and teach us how to cause damage only up to you.PEACE OUT ✌️
I’m a lover, not a fighter 😄
Jesse Enkamp yes of course 😆 but only in god forbid dangerous situations👍🏼👍🏼
This is damn useful...though I'm not too good at it😅
Please do a video on improving karate stances.
I have several. What’s your issue?
@@KARATEbyJesse I have problems with body alignment and generating power.
Good video Jesse. Could you speak more about close range fight, when the fighters are less than an arm distant from each other. I think that is the weakest skill of most karateka.
Yes, actually that will be taught at KNX20. You can get the seminar videos here: gumroad.com/l/KNX20-pre
Loving these I'll definitely have to use these as I need to improve on my hip flexibility
Have fun! 👍
thanks bro, you are one of the main reason why I still have intrust in karate
I find this extremely helpful.... Included in my routine. After streching. 👌
Lots of excellent training techniques Sensei Jesse! In our classes we liked doing front kicks over the back of a chair to keep the knee up. At home I would stand at the bottom of the stairs to get the up out back and down motion right without slamming my toes into the risers. Then of course there was the Sensei who used to train roundhouse kick by sticking his big toe in your ear and wiggling it while explaining the importance of throwing the hip.
Gross.
I like your videos, I'm actually a tkd student but they're very applicable to me. Any advice on getting a high knee/kick in side kick position? When I try to extend my knee always pulls down towards floor so I can't keep a high knee.. I turn my back foot to "open the hip" but this just seems to pull my kicking leg with it.
Oss Sensei Jesse, Rei
This is great.I'm myself doing stuff like this.Especially when Im watching before Van Damme or Bill Wallace.OSU
You are an amazing Sensei 👌👍 I'm glad that I found your chanel 👌🥋👍
Everyrhing you explane so pedagogical 👌
Allt the acrobatic jumping Kicks im the movies are from taekwondo.. right?
Great video Sensei I received my Shotokan shodan in 2012 haven't stopped since Never will...
Absolutely gold! I'll grab something to introduce to my lessons 🙏🏻🥋
Higher the knee, higher the kick. The partner drills are so important, because it allows 2 people to train at the same time. In southern kung-fu there are drills where you and your partner stand on one leg, the other leg is touching, kinda like a leg chi sao. To keep balance you can hold arms. 😊. Then the fun (pain) begins as you practise sticky leg. Your movements are smooth. Ever watched The Art of High Impact Kicking? That Silver Fox geezer.
perfect video, perfect youtube channel, i´m a beginner and i´m grateful for these videos
Makes me happy to hear! 👍
I truly enjoy with allot of my hear the awesome accurate technical and informed karate skills you teach...thank you...
@Jesse Enkamp, I see a lot of your videos. I like them. I have suggestion to you : you can become a Hollywood Action Hero ... your camera presence is nice and you are good in Martial Art.
Great tips, will definitely be using idea these for teaching. I’ve never actually heard the term ura mawashi geri before, we call it kake geri. (Before people jump on me, I’m not saying either is incorrect just haven’t heard ura mawashi geri before).
When they call you sense it's spot on! Thanks for the awesome teaching OSS
would you like to come sk8ing. skateboarding your half way there
How did the house get into name round house kick(mawashi geri)? Real question just for sake of etymological interest. Thx for all your great videos
Hello Jesse, Me and my son has started Karate. I am fine on my Kicking but my son is 9 and battles with a proper Mawashi Geri. Do you maybe have some tips on helping him.
Wow! These are fantastic! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Nunca antes habia visto estos ejercicios. En realidad se nota que son muy buenos para deestabilidad estabilidad y elongación. Excelente video sensei jesse. Gracias por compartir tu conocimiento. Oss
Muchas gracias 🙏
You should do a video on all the punches from Karate. Namely the hook and uppercut. I have trouble finding those online.
Help full exercise
Man i would love to learn karate from you in real live. Shame i live in the Netherlands and you in Sweden. This looks so much beter than the karate i was taught. So much more finess and controle over the body :)
You are absolutly insane, i´am impressed with the amount of power you´re legs must have to do this techniques slow.
Honestly, it’s just a byproduct of training my whole life 🤷♂️
Amazing Jesse Sensei, that was supercool. And this Is very Pedagógicos.
Enjoy your instructions it’s outstanding I saw you had 50 tapes how do I get them?
thank u so much u r the best
i have a request - Can u please make a full karate tutorial episodes (like day 1 ,day2 ,day2)
Oss Sensei! 😊 I'm sure this is going to be a very helpful video! I need to work on my kicks!!
Awesome! Good luck with the exercises.
@@KARATEbyJesse thank you so much Sensei!! I really want to visit the KNX but I cant due to the age limit! It's one of the top things on my bucket list!!😊
Lord have mercy, it's nice to be young. I hope to be able to achieve this one day.
Nevertheless, thank you for sharing these videos Sensei. With each one I learn some small thing I can apply.
This might be also interesting performed with your hips under water🤔
Cool Sensei
Been watching ur videos for a while big fan you got me wanting to join karate
Hi Jesse, tank U for this kicking exercises, bye bye, see U....
Great
I really want to come to the seminar of karate nerd ...i hope ill make it ..
Omg!! This is brilliant ! I’m saving this video too... can you tell me how many times we should repeat each of the six exercises for each leg .. like 5 reps for beginners, 8 for intermediates and 10-12 for advanced .... would that work .... I’m def a beginner ... thank you again!!
Omar Haq I know this is a late response to your question, but nobody seemed to answer. He says it in the video and in other responses. Do as many as you can until you lose good form and posture. Then take a break and change legs. If you cannot kick high, do it lower and try a few kicks higher, but not every single one. Keep trying to keep your posture and form good for each kick, every time. If you train 3-4 times a week, make sure you rest the legs too and set aside about 21-30 days before noticing good improvements. That's what I used to do when training for competitions and gradings, etc. Hope that helps. I broke my back, so now I rarely kick higher than solar plexus. No real need to kick higher, but it sure feels fun getting in a clean, head-height mawashi geri on an opponent when they do not expect it.
Great ,thanks for the exercise
THESE SUCK! No, no, no don't get me wrong - the exercises are fantastic!! But WOW did they hurt and help me realize just how much more work I have to do to increase flexibility. Thank you, as always, Jesse for great exercises and drills. I look forward to hating these drills three or four times a week for the foreseeable future! LOL
Haha you almost got me 😂 Keep sucking!! 🙏
Gonna do all of it from now. Thanks bruh 👊👍 Hey man ,which style do you practice?
Thanks! I'm style agnostic :-)
Domo Arigatou Jesse San.
The first one is like thumb war but with legs.
What are your thoughts on using the ball of the foot as the striking point as opposed to the top of the foot? My sensei has taught ball of the foot and lots of reasons for it even in exercises much like these, whereas you're using the top. I can see possible pros and cons of each. Wondering your take.
Depends on the situation! 👍
What if i can't go so hight?
Go lower 😄
Very nice practice 👌, thanks 😊 👍
Jesse Sensei, Love your content with this one though it seems like you need effortless kicks to be able to perform the drills for effortless kicks. What's before this? If this is level 10 what's level 1?
Kick lower :)
I love these videos, so good and informative
It's useful .Thank you sir...
goood for those with sparring budies
Those looks fun!!!
They are!!
My favorite kick to the side of the leg
Any kick routine without a partner?
I love Oliver in the backround
Awesome Jesse. Will try these in class
Hai sensei. Sensei I loved this video. This techniques are actually very useful. I will surely try these exercises with my training partner. Sensei can you teach us how to kick without hurting our knees. I mean most of us face the same problem that our knees hurts after kicking. Help sensei.
I'm going to start doing some of these with my kids, but I'll call them "games".
Yep. We have the great game of washing dishes as well.
Thanks for the great lesson, Sensei Jesse. I didn’t know how bad I was, hahaa. Hopefully I can improve.
I like that. Appreciate you
Loved the first game. Thank you Jesse Sensei
Great to hear! 💪
Thanks. Very cool!
what is your karate style?
These are perfect! Totally having my competition class do these!
Woah these are gems...thanks for sharing... appreciate it
Glad you like them!
Fun exercise for wamrmups. Will try this with my group.
In my TKD class we do the first drill after sparring but instead of mae geri we do it in Yoko geri. We try and push each other out or headshots since we do it in full gear. Its both fun and killer especially since we usually use our less dominant leg first
hey jesse san please make a video on different types of stances.... like deep stance vs others... you know what i mean
It’s so good to have them
Nice basic kick exercises
Good exercises, I need to improve mais kicks and I'll try this moviments...
