Hidden gem with 1.2m subs? I never really enjoyed his channel, because it always feels like he is depressed and emotionless. I was actually quite surprised how he behaves in this video, much more enjoyable.
especially when it's either Hawaiian, pineapple, bacon or margarita pizza........I would like to try a pizza made of seafood enchiladas toppings💕🥘 ohmygawd
I know right, all people talk about is Lou Malnaties, and Spacca Napoli etc... but tavern style is my all time favourite, plus you can eat a full pie to yourself lol.
Stephen is such a star. I haven’t seen someone so true to himself that when on another channel he’s just as engaging and collected as he’s on his own channel. Much respect!
Nicole, I really appreciate this series. You manage to make the idea of not only a competition, but also making a pizza at home, fun and approachable. I come away from each episode feeling validated in my... feeling [lol] that it is in fact a challenge to make a good pizza and believing that I can do that! It's a wonderful gift. It's just great. Thanks.
This is probably my favorite judge duo so far. Adam is very good at “hosting” without feeling too scripted and Wolfgang Puck always strikes me as authentic.
THANK YOU! All I’ve know was Chicago deep dish style until I finally went to Chicago and was introduced to tavern style and absolutely LOVE this pizza. Tavern style Chicago pizza needs to be more known about. So superior to deep dish. And God bless Wolfgang Puck and his candor.
Yeah, most Chicagoans don’t eat a lot of deep dish. Some people like it but even they probably don’t eat it much. I’ve had it maybe 2-3 times. Tourists always asked where to get the best deep dish and I legit shrugged.
@@FortunaFavored Tavern style is the daily driver. It's like the difference between a burger and a steakhouse. Once is an experience, the other is the standard. Both can be amazing, when done correctly.
I thought the "docker" tool was called a "doter" for about 3 years while working at a bakery. The person who taught me had a heavy accent and I was hearing "doter." I didn't question it either because it makes dots in the dough
Nice. I'd like to see a 'Taboo Pizza' episode.. taking ingredients that are considered sacrilege to pizza. Pineapple for example.. banana, pickle, etc. Obviously elevated and not just as toppings.
I don’t trust anyone that hates Chicago pizza. That’s one of the things we are literally known for. Deep dish seems to be the mascot for Chicago because of how unique and original it is but that’s not all Chicago has to offer when it comes to pizza. Our thin crust is really good and it’s actually what most chicagoans eat. Deep dish is only occasional.
i agree that nicole shouldnt have put honey on it...but i love her. she's a beast when it comes to her meats and putting different flavors together. the green tomatoes were such a unique touch. and this pizza reminds me of st. louis style pizza...
Again, Nicole is just the sweetest, the kindest. Seems like a lovely person to be around. Really enjoyed the judges here, not just because they're familiar face, but because Adam came in with real knowledge about this niche pizza and it was great to see Wolfgang change his mind! Some of the judges seem to just judge only against, like, classic Italian or NYC pizza and it was great for the judges to be so open to this different kind. And they both looked great!
Wow the hosts and contestants in this season would be hard to beat. Loving it!! Channels like internet shaquille and not another cooking show finally getting love!
probably same. but I'm a fan of spices and having some spicy things added to a lot of things. And I think the honey would compliment it well and make it so it's not completely overpowering. That being said Nichole's looked amazing too
Absolute beginner mistake - raw onion and bell pepper on the pizza. You need to caramelize those guys first. Otherwise the pizza tastes like mostly raw onion and bell pepper.
Tavern style is popular throughout the midwest some of the best I've had was actually at George's vineyard in Northfield mn but there are so many places to go across the midwest that are absolutely amazing
@@pfury67 It's the pizza order for Black Friday when everyone is still in town and you're already sick of Thanksgiving left overs. Also, you know you can estimate just 1-2 slices per person. So the pizza math is easier. That said, an XL tavern style with half sausage will still make an appearance.
I still can't believe that both of them managed to convince Wolfgang that Chicago pizza was good that is........whoever wins it doesn't matter both of y'all win because that's a big accomplishment when you manage to convince a critic like him as high as him that something is actually good you've done something really well
Wolfgang Puck is one of the OG's of food celebrities. I started loving him and Martha Stewart when I was a teenager, something people probably didn't expect from me, lol. I was tragically and intensely goth back then.
Nicole's pizza remind me of a European Pizza my wife introduced me to called a Rustico ... admittedly there isn't hot honey on it but everything else is similar. I also love how Wolfgang Puck really has gotten to the point where he has no more F to give.

(also PS is it just me or does Stephen sound a lot like Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock?) And last but not least, Adam
Great episode. I came from Chicagoland parents, love Chicago deep dish- but it's not my favorite. In recent years I've been leaning towards tavern style as well- HEAVY on the cheese for me- so Nicole's probably would be my pick; though I'm not sure on the "hot honey", but that'd go for both. For the screen talent: Guess I haven't seen Chef Puck in enough interviews, but this was was the koolest I've ever seen him(if only he'd stop hocking kitchen appliances in shady infomercials). Adam: Have loved you since MvF. Always happy when I see you! Nicole: Mmm hmm. You know you got it. Stephen: I think you have a new fan; definitely going to check out your channel! Sorry I hadn't already, totally the YT algorithm's fault; it should've know it's a slam dunk. See you soon in the comments.

Great (and VERY entertaining) episode! - The pizzas both looked incredible too! I totally love Adam and Wolfgang - together they are amazing and funny! - Cheers!
Like if you want to eat pizza with Adam and Wolfgang!
Adam and Wolfgang ain't homies. This ain't Chicago Pizza. This is lazy gas station pizza.
Only if we get deep-dish and tavern style.
