I like houses where you can see that people live there. Perfectly tidy houses make me a little anxious, because how do people live? Do they clean up every day?

Greetings from Australia. As a grandmother in her early 60's, I feel for you. Life hasn't changed for young mothers. I didn't have social media to compare myself with, however, there were always the mothers that were so put together, volunteered for every event, their children were so well dressed. At the end of the day, no one is going to remember how the house looked when they were 7yrs old.

I can’t understand how your mind works exactly like mine. I’ve never felt so understood in my life. No one I know understands me like this, it’s crazy. We live in different continents, have different experiences, different family dynamics, different jobs, etc but our minds work in the same way. It’s inspiring to see you’re able to keep up with things in a realistic way. It gives me hope 😊

    Hi Remi!
Your 10 minute game Transformed my life! I’m like you it’s super hard for me to keep things straight and organized in my home (car, work). Before I know it everything is in a total and complete mess and and it takes a gargantuan effort to deal with it at that point so I go into a downward spiral, get really depressed over it and angry with myself.
A couple of days ago I just tried your 10 minute game. I set my timer for 10 minutes. The kitchen was a horrible mess and I chuckled to myself thinking I will hardly get anywhere in 10 minutes but let’s just try it but it felt like a game and I thought let’s see what I can do.
I couldn’t believe it. I got it all done in about eight minutes, I truly couldn’t believe it, was like a miracle.
Then I did it again …my granddaughter came to spend the day with me. Usually my daughter-in-law comes to pick her up and she helps me clean up after us because we always make a huge mess crafting but instead my son came and he picked her up and left .. here I was with this humongous mess in my living room, I thought let me try this 10 minute game again. I set the timer and started in and I got 80% of it done in the 10 minutes. I noticed that even if I don’t get everything done within 10 minutes, I have broken through the inertia and resistance that I had to start and I have so much energy flowing in my body from having gotten the majority of it done that I go ahead and finish it up.
I use the game at night after eating, too. I just can’t face cleaning up the kitchen, so tired, but I set the timer and get it done in 10 min. I can’t believe the “story” I made up about myself and the work being so hard … was all just a story, with your trick I feel I have gained control. Remi you and your channel have so changed my life. I love you and appreciate you. Have a wonderful day.🎉😂❤

I get up 2 or 3 times a night to let my dogs out so I emphasize with the baby. I get to babysit my 19 month old granddaughter every school day while her parents are at work, I retired to do this. We have fun everyday, so I can’t be bothered with cleaning during the day. Thank you Remi, love your videos.🙂

My husband and I are empty nesters now, and I can tell you that before my grandchildren were around, I missed those days of walking through piles of clothes on the floor, laundry half folded, walking into a disastrous bathroom. messy… After they were gone, everything would stay clean, yes, but I missed my babies. Almost like I was grieving. Then my grandchildren came along and I watch them while my kids work. Nothing does my heart good then to see those Barbies come out, mess and all, and watch as they play. 😊😊. You definitely have your priorities right. Your children come first. And as my niece says “I love my little people”. You are enjoying them, that is what they will remember!

I absolutely love your narration. I think it’s superb and you should’ve been a psychiatrist or something. You should be patting yourself on the back at all times because you not only do your cleaning while waiting on your children but you have to edit these video’s which I can imagine takes quite a bit of time in itself. I just love watching your video’s and the first one I ever watched touch me so much that I actually cried. You did your dads kitchen while talking about your family and you never put anyone down or blamed them for anything. What a beautiful thing. I’d like to be more like you. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Your such a great human being. Sharon from Pennsylvania USA. ❤

I’m the same as you. I did wooden floors. Leather furniture. If it didn’t wipe or it didn’t wash I didn’t buy it. I’d have hated my children to have been nervous of accidents. My friends son spilt a drink once and I swear their reaction shocked me. They jumped up and burst out crying and wouldn’t stop apologising. I couldn’t understand why they’d react like that but my son said their house was all cream furniture and carpets and they weren’t allowed to eat or drink in the living room. They’d spilt their drink in my living room. I just wiped it up. How sad that is. I couldn’t live like that either. You do a great job with your children.❤

Like other commenters that have posted to your videos, I've only recently found you. WHAT A GIFT! I'm so glad I haven't missed years of content 😊.
You are MEANT to do this. You are absolutely excellent in the presentation of your content. You are the most genuinely generous, natural, empathetic, honest, unpretentious, humble, encouraging and charming ASMR artist I've personally seen. Please don't change anything and please don't stop posting to RUclips. Your voiceovers including observation, outlook, attitude, etc. and hearing it in your so lovely accent (to my ear), is just a joy.
I will say I truly believe you are an angel among us.
You have helped and will continue to help many. Your continued channel growth will attest to that. You provide relief and hope to people who feel sometimes desperate and usually disconnected. I'm not just referring to cleaning or tidiness.
You provide a manner of therapy for people who have no other resource or outlet.
Some people may find my comments "over-the-top" but I assure you I sincerely mean every word.
You generate such positivity and good karma that will be returned to you exponentially. I believe that.
It is a blessing to encounter, albeit only in video form, such sweetness of spirit. Evidence of that can sometimes be hard to come by.
May every wish, hope and dream come true. Health and happiness to you and your family throughout the holidays and the new year! 🤗

Luv, luv, luv that you point out how life is cyclical, especially for women. I've read studies on how when allowed to work with our cycles rather than against them we can accomplish a lot more with a lot less stress. We insist on working in groups to the point that we can't allow for individual needs and wind up losing productivity because of it. Allowing yourself to be you in your own home is the least we can do for ourselves.

My problem is that I put things off because I can't see the point in doing the everyday tasks. I know no one is going to see the house so I just can't see the point. I want to be more motivated and to remember that I should do it anyway, then I can do my hobbies without the feeling of guilt and that I should do it for me.

I found out this year that I have ADHD and through lots of research, I've discovered that I'm not lazy, I just struggle with executive disfunction, which was really overwhelming and relieving to find out. I've always struggled to stay organized and clean, but I reached a breaking point at the beginning of this year where I felt completely paralyzed and depressed and was barely functioning. It took me about six months to realize what was happening and finally talked to my doctor about it and got some answers, which has been overwhelming but helpful (and such a relief).
My house is still messy, I still struggle to stay on top of appointments and chores and things, and most days I feel like I barely do more than play with my toddler, but I'm getting better, and content like yours helps immensely with finding sustainable tactics to manage the mess and chaos.

As someone Who spent most of the afternoon deep cleaning the bathroom it's so nice to just sit back and watch and listen to you,
I have done the timer method with my daughter's, but today I left them cleaning downstairs while I did the bathroom and don't worry not child labour they are both in their 20, however when they were younger I did ask them to help.❤❤ I always think that as a parent our biggest job is to teach our children how to look after themselves and a home. So much so that my youngest daughter is now back from Uni having looked after herself for 3 years with no problems xx
    Thanks Remi xx ❤

Still laughing over your desire for a bath because you ‘smelled like a ferret.’ 😂 After 27 years as a cleaning woman (I’m now 62) I suffer from burnout. To make things worse, I’m OCD with too many pets. My two rabbits can turn the house upside down in two hours! But I love them too much to ever get rid of them. I once read an excellent article on cleaning that pointed out a house kept neatly in order would appear clean even if it had not been cleaned in some time-and this is very true! In any case, a ‘neatenized’ home helps us with mental clarity and banishes that feeling of being overwhelmed. You can always go back sometime later, pick a room, and deep clean it. Happy to see your son willingly help you. He is doing it out of love for you and enjoying feeling useful. I’m sure you thank and encourage him for his help, because you are a good mom. ❤

The idea of manageable mess vs overwhelming mess is so great. And the great thing about the ten minute rule is that you stop wherever you are at ten minutes, and every day you'll get it a little bit cleaner. One day you'll have time to vacuum, one day you won't. And it's all fine. It's good.

There’s so many people out there who feel the same ❤️❤️ you’re doing such a good job with managing the house and raising your kids. Remember to be kind to yourself as well

I adore accent!!! I enjoy EVERY one of your videos. I am AMAZED at what you accomplish day to day in your home. While listening to you I realize my family and I could be related!!! You live in a matchbox house with your sweetheart and two lovely children. You also work to provide for your family. I know I know it is a shame many of us were born GOODLOOKING & POOR and not rich. I applaud you in what you do and you share with your viewers what is happening in your life. I am pretty old. I have travelled MANY countries and I have had the opportunity to observe MANY in their walk of life and on their death bed. I have reached the opinion that the people who find fault in what other people do is jealousy and a profound narcissistic lifestyle. I used to be saddened about people in old folks home, but further information I realize 95% of them maybe deserve to be there. Many were part-time parents. My child had friends whose parents worked full time and on the weekend it was THEIR time. I also overheard a conversation from teenagers saying they had to wash clothes, wash and dry dishes, sweep the floors/mop/vacuum/polish and start the food for supper-besides doing their homework. It was sad. As I watch your videos you have awesome priorities in your life. Your family FIRST, your work (I'm sure like me you have grown fond of eating and providing a safe environment for your family), checking in on your parents/family and last buy not least taking care of pick up in your home. NO ONE on their death bed has said I wish I had spent more time at work or cleaned up house better. YOU. ARE. DOING. AN. AWESOME. JOB. I listen to your videos and can hear the love you have for your family. A.R.S.E.H.O.L.E.S who criticize other people are jealous. What is incredibly AMAZING is if a person doesn't care for a video just turn off your computer/block a person/or change the channel. Just continue to be you that is why we subscribe to you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I love your videos and honesty. I'm like you... messy and disorganised 🤭 plus with mental health issues, chronic pain etc etc 😅 What it works for me is do the dishes every time I eat, this helps me to keep the mess at bay considering my mini kitchen room. I'd love to have a perfect clean house but when my body and mind don't want to, it's ok to take care of my self or spend quality time with who I love. I've felt wrong before, but now I don't care.

I was taught at a very early age to never leave a room empty handed. And the other thing my mom always said was to take five minutes after cooking or bathing the kids and put stuff back the way it should be. Only 5 minutes. It’s amazing what you can accomplish in 5 minutes. It’s the only way I can keep up with my household now as an adult. It may help someone else. ❤️

I just love you. Thank you for being raw and real. Your videos are inspiring and so refreshing to see. I’m a lot like you, and it’s really nice to know I’m not alone. Seeing the perfectly clean homes on social media makes me feel so inadequate. And that’s incredibly frustrating since I feel as though I never stop cleaning and still can’t keep up. I often have to remind myself that I’m doing the best I can. Four boys is a lot, and I’m only one person… I can only do so much.
Thank you for helping us moms feel like we’re not so alone. I absolutely love your videos and look forward to more! 💜

I live alone without a dishwasher, and I love my 15 minutes of doing dishes in the evening. Maybe I could add other rooms soon, now that I'm decent at sticking to the dishes part... though I love what you said about cyclical routines! I don't have a period cycle but I definitely fall out of habits too. It happens. Getting back in can be really nice, though, like - oh yeah I remember how this works! Can feel cozy.
