Wow; I don’t even know where to begin to describe how amazing you are. You are the Mother Teresa of struggling house cleaners, depressed souls, those who beat ourselves up, judge our failings and all who are barely hanging on by the skin of our teeth! Thank you for your kindness, gentle words of support, acceptance, and love. I wish you were my next-door-neighbor. You seem like the best of best friends. I recently found your channel and have been so inspired. Please keep sharing your gift and uplifting the world. You are an angel!!!♥️♥️♥️

I am one of those clean people who haven't been blessed with a husband or kids yet. I want to thank you for explaining how your mind works, how the mess is made, and taking time for self care. I was mostly judgemental of people who couldn't keep a clean house, but you have changed my perspective. I like how you said you wouldn't look back on your life and think I wish I would've cleaned more. I just found your channel and watched all of your videos. I can't get enough of your voice. Thank you for helping me understand, and it makes me want to help the moms in my life. Cleaning videos relax me and you've helped me so much.

I appreciate you, Remi. When I was a young mother,I made the mistake of choosing to try and keep a clean home over spending time with my youngest son. Now my youngest is almost 27 years old, on his own, living in New York, having his own life, and it really hit me hard when you said that you cherished quality time with your boys over cleaning. I wished I had let those dirty dishes in the sink wait when he was calling out to me to play with him. If given a chance to do it all over again, I would choose sword fights with my youngest over folding clean laundry. Time is fleeting, Remi. Always choose time with your boys over anything else in the world. ❤❤❤❤

Remi, you are an amazing young lady, and an awesome mom. I am now a grandma living with regrets because I didn’t know how to have fun with my babies. Order and a tidy house were priority, and you’re right, we can’t do it all, so it was my kids that didn’t get the attention they so rightly deserved. I wish I understood myself the way you understand yourself, and accept yourself. What a blessing you are to so many people.

I have fibromyalgia as well. Chronic fatigue is my worst symptom/condition. I have had the condition most of my life. Since I was about 10-15 started slowly developing it. It has become increasingly worse as time have progressed. I am not able to work. I couldn’t walk for many months, nearing a year. I am doing a lot of self care and gentle stuff with myself because I’ve learned that is what is going to “cure” me. The medical world will fail me because it’s all about wellness and they don’t work that way. It’s taking a lot of gentle work and just caring for myself and I’m feeling a bit better the last few months. I found EFT tapping a great tool. I am painting. I am just trying to find things for me. I love to clean but I have to really pace myself and I find techniques that are quick and easy but again gentle in terms of their impact on my family/me/my home chemically. I just want to say I hope you can find peace and happiness in small corners of your existence. It will truly make all the difference. The people in your life who don’t understand and make demands can just live with it. You’re doing the best you can and you’re doing great! ❤

No one ever noticed that when the yard was mowed and clean and the house was untidy, and when the house was clean, the yard needed attention. All of the work fell to me and here you are, working your buns off, and recognising others and their struggles. You are very sweet, you’re one of my favorite people, I wish we were neighbours. Don’t listen to anyone but yourself. Others are too judgmental, there’s a special hell for those people. You are fabulous. P.S. your lawn looks great! Your grass looks do green and so thick

Remi I don't know exactly why, but the last few minutes of this video brought me to tears. Maybe it's because I am one of those married single parents. I am home all day with my four children and I do ALL of the work around the house. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, trying to be the best mom I can be, homeschooling, yard work...everything! By 7 PM I just want to be left alone and not bothered with anything or anyone. I'm irritable and my husband and kids get the worst side of me. It's tiring trying to do everything by yourself!

I always had that little voice in my head saying, "You're a failure and a bad wife and mother," because no one in my life understands what it means to live with executive disfunction. I'm a smart woman with a big heart, but that doesn't matter because I can't manage the housework. It seems that's the only thing that matters. If you can't clean your house well enough, you're worthless. But your content shows me that I am not alone. If you actually do get the kind of comments you referenced in this video (and I am not for a moment doubting your veracity), I am appalled that anyone would have the gall to offer advice, assessment or criticism of anyone else's home life.
There is very little as personal, private and subjective as managing one's life, home and (if applicable) family.
Those rude commenters must have nothing better to do than convince themselves that they have superior standards and abilities along with the right to take a holier than thou attitude with other people.
I don't think I could ever be a RUclips creator if for no other reason than I am very thin skinned when offended, and find it almost impossible to ignore, forgive or forget when I feel wronged or insulted.
You keep right on doing what you do, exactly the way you do it, as it is very inspirational to see a realistic looking, sounding, living person who is struggling to make it all work.

It’s so important that you find that balance to rest, play with your children, time with family, etc and at 64 I’m still learning that. I think you are doing wonderful job. There are so many things that contribute to a messy home like size of home, how many people and animals, whether you work outside the home and yes our natural tendencies to be on the neater or messier side of things, My sister and I are complete opposites and so are our kids. It took me a long time to learn that even though we have the same number of kids and we both stay home, she and her family are just messier. That being said, there were times I wish I could have relaxed more and not focused on having my home perfectly tidy. Over the years the biggest thing that helped both of us was teaching our kids how to help and take care of their own things and just not owning so much stuff. The best thing I recently heard from a youtuber was that your whole house doesn't have to be clean at the same time, cycle through and maintain but stop trying for perfection. Keep up the good work, you are helping out so many other young moms out there.

What a meaningful video and a great voice over. Sometimes when I complain about the mess in our house my husband says one could have a very clean house and live completely by yourself in that tidy house and be very lonely, but which would you choose?
I am from South Africa and here a lot of families have some kind of help with cleaning (a person who comes to clean a few days a week) and that is how they manage. We don't have help, so cleaning is a big family effort, and yet it feels that our house is never tidy. So I totally understand this video. ❤️

Wow I love how much you role model for your kids. Your little one is happy hanging around and being part of the tidying that you're doing. I think that is so important. I know that it's harder, and sometimes we need to do something without our kids around. But it's awesome to see them playing and you guys just doing life together. Good job momma 👍🏻

When my kids were young I somehow had the energy to keep the house tidy like you do. I was thankfully a stay at home mom. Now I’m 62 with two grown children and recently retired. My children are busy with their lives and I am home. Now I finally have the time to keep my home beautiful, but rarely have the energy. I do have depression and Lupus. So that definitely plays a part in my energy level. I currently have some deep cleaning and carpet shampooing that needs done, but I am truly struggling at the moment. Watching your videos gives me motivation. And some days when I feel my worst just watching you clean makes me exhausted…lol..

The trick of a clean house I found, is having more of a minamalist lifestyle. not stuff all over. not putting things in corners to put them away and so on. Having a placce for everything or don't have it at all. That works for me. Good job

Love this. I was a single married, and recently became a single working mum of 2 preschoolers. The pressure of trying to maintain my house to someone else's standards was damaging my mental health and the mum guilt of always saying no to the kids so i could clean was soul destroying. Im now trying to implement the "done is good enough" and it doesn't matter that 5seconds after i finished the kids have spilled thier dinner and empty a toy box and the cat ran across the floors with muddy paws. And realizations that to maintain a clean house takes more energy and time than i have to offer. Some days i can only give 15min of time to cleaning after kids are asleep and before im sleep walking myself, so i do what i can, i tackle the tasks that bug me the most, and once my 15min finished i stop and focus of my rest. Maybe i only manage to get the dishes done, or the toys picked up, or run the vacuum under the kitchen table, but thats "enough" and i praise myself for doing that. Part of maintaining a home is taking care of my health and prioritizing my rest.

It's a week late, but I had to say thank you again for making these videos. It's so refreshing to see a human with normal daily struggles. I live in a home with five adults (whom I love dearly) and even then, our home is not clean. We all take turns cleaning, and it absolutely helps, but our home will never be spotless. It's demoralizing to see so many homes on social media that are pristine and to wonder why we aren't meeting those standards, but it's exactly as you said: we spend multiple days making crafts, we will leave a board game overnight, we'll do the dishes in the morning so we can all watch a movie together, we'll pick two weeds each when it's not too hot to do so, and other things to make progress. Anywho, rambling aside, you're doing a fantastic job being a mother and partner. Your young ones will absolutely reflect on your values (in fact, your older little is a shining example).

I agree about each of us being different and the need to forgive ourselves. Each person's tasks are as different as we are from each other. It wasn't until this year that I finally started to focus on how much I have changed. How I cleaned house when I was 25 is vastly different from how I can clean house now at 52. I can honestly say your house is way cleaner than mine. However, you're helping me see that I am an individual who has traveled a different journey than a lot of others. My late hubby got diagnosed with renal failure about a year after we were married. I was starting menopause at the same time. All the hospital stuff burnt me out so badly that when he died, I was completely wrecked. Was also covid as well. I am also the one with 5 cats who go outside and the boyfriend who lives with me who has cerebral palsy. He works lots as well. Looks like he has some form of ADHD. I do mostly everything around the house myself as it can be easier. I do wish I could teach the cats to help 😉. But sometimes migraines caused by arthritis and arthritis keep me from doing anything. The fatigue can be insane. My boyfriend does a lot of the shopping and running around so that helps a lot too. I love that your channel reminds me to think in terms of my home being like when I realised, at 12, that I wasn't built like Barbie, so I have never really tried, that I do not have a magazine picture, minimalist and focused mindset either. Therefore, it would be the kindest thing ever to breathe and enjoy the parts of my life that cause parts of my clutter. I really love books. So thank you for inspiring me to be me ❤

What Americans don't understand is that our houses tend to be much larger, so a small amount of clutter can make your house look more disorganized. Therefore, a really small mess looks worse, but those small messes are CONSTSANT! And good for you for taking a day for yourself or your family form time to time. Thank you so much for understanding what I go through with task paralysis. You remind me that I"m not alone. You don't know if something will work until you try it and now you know. Maybe this method will work in 10 years or so, but you aren't in that season of life right now. Love Ike's little rain boots!

You made me cry several times in this, what you say and how you say it makes me feel that yeah, I’m doing my best and I’m doing a good enough job. My mental health has been fairly poor this year and this video has been what I needed to get me motivated to sort my little room, the only room that’s mine in the house that’s become a family laundry room. I’m now sorting it so it can be my reading room, my writing space, my ‘feet up and me’ space. Don’t know how often I’ll use it because I have a family and full time work, but I’m doing it for me with my things. So thank you so much for your content, it’s so inspiring 😊

Working picking Strawberries at age 5. Then I married and had a little money, divorced back to no money, but so much happiness makes up for it. Just read their notes and think that until they walk a mile in your shoes. You're a wonderful momma and wife.
