- Hello,
The Royal Enfield Interceptor since its launch at the end of 2018, is continuing to make waves across the globe with its performance, reliability and accessibility.
Today, we have 2 owners from different backgrounds sharing their purchase and ownership experiences of the Interceptor.
And, it is evident that this motorcycle has ticked all boxes and is delivering joy to its owners. The motorcycle is reasonably priced, is inexpensive to maintain and repair, gives decent gas mileage and is fun to ride. All this makes it an ideal multi-purpose motorcycle that can serve touring and commuting purposes.
If you have a single motorcycle garage, then this could be the best fit.

Am waiting for 650cc crusier bike from ROYAL ENFIELD which is going to launch in this year 2021.....
Just sat on one at the dealership and love it!!! There's not even a demo model to test ride due to how popular they are. I can see why.
Ride one and you can know more about why it is has become so popular. Cheers!

Yes. mature talk. But sadly, only sensationalism wins in cyberspace. Happy these gentlemen are not playing to the galleries.

Watching the video today, May 2024. Lovely video. Just curious to know, how is the bike doing now? If you still have it, that is :)
@madhavn9993 yes the 650 is still with him and going strong.
@@bigbearbangalore very nice! Planning to pick up a friend's Interceptor 2019 model, which has done very little on the odo. Hence the question.

Nice review! I would love to buy this bike in the future.
Thank you. Good choice! Cheers!
Got my Interceptor delivered on 2018 December 29th. First bike in West Bengal. Till date I rode 15k+ kms had to change 3 sets of brake pads on both ends. Now pretty much everything with my bike has been modified. Way2speed custom front springs and preload with 130mm Travel (1 inch lift at the front) and a 1.5 inch lift on the rear. Custom seat, custom tail tidy, custom headlight and headlight cover, different handlebars and mirrors that are 2x better functional than the RE touring mirrors. Planning to get rid of the 18-18 wheel setup for a 17-19 setup next.
Nice! And you have used up 3 sets of brake pads? You must be riding hard buddy. 👍 Best wishes.
@@bigbearbangalore Idk i do not ride that hard but for some reason my brake pads go out like hot cakes. Maybe because I do quite a bit of offroading with ABS turned off.
Love your content sir , glad i found your channel , simply straight to the point ♥️, you will reach great heights sir

Bosky... love your videos... they are very different... I enjoy them...
Glad you like them! Thanks & cheers!
Very well made. Was a lot of fun to watch.

I'm one of the customer who bought interceptor 650 on first slot. Got this BEAST on Dec 25th 2018 one of the first 5 customer to purchase this machine in Bangalore. Sharath Sir if u remember me I was ur roomate when we are on ride to Chikmagalur. One best thing about this beast is Well refined Engine. I was on this beast all day long like 1200 kms didn't feel the tiredness. Many times I started from native early morning 350 kms on stretch reach office and spend remaining day in office, thats how it's so comfortable. Everytime I see this machine I fall in love with it.🥰
Awesome! Happy to hear the love. Cheers!
just love your channel.....subscribed........thumbs up

My favourite colours are red and then the orange crush. An interceptor is definitely on my list of bikes to get. Currently with a triumph speed twin. Cheers from Canada and nice video guys.
Thanks & Cheers!
There is just something about the interceptor. It just made me fall in love when I saw it, and since then so many other bikes have come and not one has managed to capture my heart like this has. It's just right, flaws and all.

What exhaust is that ? some S&S ? Any specific model or part number to share ?
Thanks for the review and for sharing your video but the way.

HI from the UK, loved the vid and thanks for speaking English, i would have still watched it if you spoke in your Indian language 😊
beautiful looking bikes with nice honest rider/owner reviews 😁
i bought a new canyon red Interceptor yesterday, but waiting until 1st march 2022 for the bike, due to the UK vehicles will then have/show the designated '22' for the new registration year 😁

Hey! Nice to hear from you and your words clearly express how much love you have for RE. And thanks for watching our review, glad you liked it. Wishing you happy motorcycling on your new 650. Cheers!
@@bigbearbangalore thanks for the reply my friend, in my UK county/district of Cumbria (the lake district) in 32 yrs of riding bikes I haven't ever seen any RE on the local roads..apart from the knox interceptor youtube vid's..time to change that! the biker peeps that i have met in my time will see the ultimate quality and the love that RE employee's put into the build quality of these bikes..RE did not grow due to managers , it grew today by the dedicated hands of their work force..give them a pay rise..they deserve it!!
It's good to see reactions from riders in India, we in Europe still think that you only drive the old RE bikes. Liked your review. I am a biker from Belgium.
Thank you. Happy to hear. Cheers!

Very nice review, would consider int in the future,a 350 meteor being my first bike

thanks for video ... good one .
Thank you!
Quality content Bosky! Thanks so much for this.. it’s really helpful. I took a test ride of this motorcycle and during this time, i rode the bike aggressively and also took her for a slower/lethargic spin. I faced a couple of issues.
1. Having ridden sport bikes alot, i kept on hugging the tank and i ended up touching hot contacts on the engine. Is there a work around for this?
2.second problem is then when i rode the bike, i kept the tip of toes on the peg(again a habit) this made me rest my heal on the exhaust and i burnt my shoe.
I really like this bike but these things are becoming blockers. Really need your advise here.
Hi! Am glad that you liked the video. Thanks.
And, since the Inty engine fins stick out wider than the tank, I understand your concern of your inner calf touching the engine fins. One solution is, you can consider pasting a regular thin tank pad as a base layer on the tank and then on top of that you can paste a set of thick knee pads. This way you can get about 1" additional width which would keep your legs away from the fins when you are gripping the tank. If you google, you can find various options. You may have to do a bit of mix and match though to arrive at a better combination of thick and thin pads.
With regards to your heel, I suggest that you double wrap only that part of the exhaust pipe to protect your footwear from melting!! But mind you, the exhaust pipe likely will discolour under the wrap. there is no escaping this.
Hope that these solutions can help make your ride better. Cheers!
Brother u will get use to it
underrated channel and video!! :(
Hi! If the content I put out helps to make just one persons motorcycling experience genuinely better, to me that is mission accomplished. Anything beyond is a welcome bonus. Thank you so much for your kind consideration. Cheers!
After test drive even I fallen in love but I had to choose between my dream row house or this baby. So I had decided to get my row house first and will buy in next couple of years, once reviews will be available. Now I think, the time has come.
Best wishes! 👍
Proper dialogue...thank you.

Hi Bosskey (Hope the pronunciation is as intended) - I was the one who met you in the Jaraganahalli Royal Enfield service location this morning....
Hello! It was a pleasure meeting you. Best wishes. Cheers!
Bosky, very mature way of reviewing a bike from all angles.
Thank you! Cheers!
Listening to Sharath is like I’m listening to myself speak. Rd350 is exactly what came to my mind when I first noticed the interceptor. I’m planning to get back into biking like him and I’m dead set on the inty. Nothing else comes close.
👍👍👍
Mature contents and exchange of ideas and conversations.
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
There is another classic naked bike that’s quietly reached its final year of production after 43 years, Yamaha SR 400. I want that to be imported in India, tell me how Baski. Season mature minds would love it as well.
Yes that’s a classic! And it’s being discontinued because it can no longer be tuned to meet BS6 or Euro5 equivalent emission norms and that’s also the reason why it cannot be imported. Cheers!
Amazing video:
Hello Bosky ,I have 2 requests to make :
Please review your Himalayan ,
Please review and give a detailed information about your luggage setup

Upcoming classic 650 with its USD forks will be the one to look for.
Yes! Let’s see what it is ultimately launched with. Cheers!
You sir are setting new standards on youtube...
Thank you. Cheers!
Good one 👍 could you please review the Continental GT650 or your thoughts about the cafe racer models.
Hi! I have ridden the GT quite a bit and I could not feel comfortable on it. There was too much pressure on my forearms and wrists. So decided to stick with the Interceptor. Younger riders will find the GT more engaging than the Interceptor.
Sir, very informative and nicely done video. I have an interceptor and i am done around 2500 kms. Only complaint i got till now is the seat comfort. Can you pls make a vlog on which touring seat would it be better on it. I see one touring seat in the Slick's bike. Could you please explain little beat on it.
Thank you. I suggest that you buy the Royal Enfield Touring seat. In most cases this resolves the discomfort issue. Slick got his seat done locally with some extra foam and padding. I tried the same at first and did not work and so I got the RE touring seat and things are much better now. Cheers!
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you so much sir for your response.. I was confused whether to buy RE touring seat or not. Will go ahead now. Thanks much again..
Nice video Gentlemen.
Thank you! Regards.
Nice video 👍🏻may I know how much the S&S exhaust costs and will changing the exhaust void the warranty
Thanks. The S&S I think now costs about 50,000/- and yes it can void manufacturer warranty. Cheers!

Have you guys considered the Pirelli Sports Demon tires? I use them in my bonnie and they're really good in my opinion.
The Sport Demon is a good tyre indeed. The Timsun provides as good a grip at a lower cost and many have used it and are using the Timsun and all are quite happy. Cheers!
@bigbearbangalore i loved slick sharaths mods, if you could tell me where he got the handle bar risers from. Man do they look cool!
Been a while..... lemme check. I think it's Indimotard.
@@bigbearbangalore Spot on! thank you! and love your content. Cheers!!!
Would have liked to see you speak about your own Interceptor as well - you own one and have done 12000km on it.
Hi! That’s a good suggestion. I shall do that soon. Cheers!
Slick Sharath has also removed the pillion grab rail. If I'm not wrong.
True!
Love the tan seat on interceptor. How does one get that? Is there a link? Thanks
Was done at a local seat shop in Jayanagar. Most such shops have different colours of rexine material that the buyer can choose from.
Mr Sharath, Please let me know where you got the seat, i am very interested in it. Also, how much of a difference does the handle raiser has made. I am looking at installing it in bike too. Thank you in advance :)
Hi Arun, I got this seat custom made. If you are interested , contact Girish +91 97390 72300. Handle raiser has give me great comfort in handling, controlling and maneuvering in traffic. Its 2 inches higher and 2 inches closer to your body.
Slick will update you soon. Cheers!
@@sharathshylendra2064 Hello, it is a neat looking motorcycle. How does your custom seat compare against RE touring seat in terms of riding quality?
@@LongHornTexas Apologies for the late reply. The seat is very comfortable for me. it's a combination of 40H foam and memory foam for the long ride comfort
Yeah... Am just waiting for a 650 adventure tourer from RE
That will be a good machine but looks unlikely. Their 650cc is super heavy and big and so they may actually come out with a smaller and lighter tourer.
Nice
Thanks.
Love from kerala ❤❤❤
Cheers!
osam video even i m loving my Interceptor a lot
Good choice. Thanks!
Hi Sir, can you let me know from where Slick Sharath got his seats done?
It looks much more comfortable than the stock unit.
Hi! He got it done a local seat repair shop. The details of this shop are buried somewhere in the comments. Lemme us see if we can dig that out. Cheers!
Please could Slick Sharath share details of his seat and where to purchase. I'm struggling with the stock seat on long rides.
Hi!. Will check and update. Cheers!
Yes please, much needed change. please make a video about the details of seat.

Second option - custom build. I got this seat custom made. If you are interested , you contact Girish +91 97390 72300
