I also really love the scene in season 6 where they do a montage of everyone fighting at family dinner and it switches back to them laughing and telling stories.
I personally didn’t know that Amy didn’t work on season seven and I found it kind of good without knowing. Anything for me is better than the horror of season six! I hate that season sooo much

I don't think they meant they were blaming her but she was used as a plot device to cause a wedge between them. The character April didn't do anything wrong.
The only reason I like Year in a Life slightly more than season 7 is Emily Gilmore. She was amazing. Her journey from mourning the incomparable Richard Gilmore to shedding her old Mrs. Gilmore world (the DAR scene is television gold) to her happy, independent world in Cape Cod was the well-crafted story I wanted to see about my favorite Gilmore Girl.
The moment the writers cut Jess out of Rory’s life it was end of Gilmore girls for me....Writers destroyed an iconic pair...after that the story never made sense...
@@juliaguedes8534 true, don't understand why everyone likes him, he got mad at rory cause she didn't want to have sex, I mean WTF??? who does that, I only liked them as friends
Finally someone that agrees with me! I'm always seeing people say it's one of the best seasons but it's my least favorite. Gilmore Girls is my favorite show but I've always disliked season 4. I did somewhat enjoy it during my most recent rewatch, though.
Why does everyone hate Jason so much?? I was glad that season 4 ended with Luke and Lorelai but I enjoyed the Jason and Lorelai storyline and I liked Jason as a character... am I missing something 🤔
I can almost agree with you except for the placement of season 6. Season 6 is the worst! That long separation between Lorelei and Rory is to blame not the introduction of April. April is the one bright spot in a otherwise gloomy season. Season 7 and the revival may have had their flaws but season 6 is excruciating.
I have to disagree. I loved Rory having to go out on her own and figure out your shit and come back to her mother and her tail between her legs. I like seeing her have to make that development and I loved Lorlie and Luke engaged together.
@@CherryMoja Luke didn't handle it very well at all, but I feel like he was pushed into a corner with the way April's mom was behaving from the very start. And I'm sorry but I give Luke a pass because everything he was doing was so that he could have a relationship with his daughter after that had been denied to him. I love Luke and Lorelei together, but I applaud Luke for putting his daughter first, that's the way a father should be.
Jess was the fresh air the show needed and the chemistry and banter between Rory and Jess is so much better than she had with Dean! Dean never challenged her but Jess did on all fronts and that's what intrigued Rory towards him.
I literally love every season, and I can’t help it. Even A Year in the Life. Gilmore Girls makes me so happy, and it’s literally gotten me through the hardest time of my life. I have a dragonfly tattoo because of this show. I love it so much lol.
My opinion: Season 1-3: Just wonderful, especially season 3. This was the season when I said "That´s it. It can´t get any better than this". Season 4: not as good as the previous 3, but still really solid and enjoyable. Rory going to college was something that had to happen, but the show never had that intimacy and close vibe again. Season 5: Good yet not that good. Season 6: the start of the show´s downfall: April´s introduction was awful and Rory and Lorelai´s fight was interesting at the beggining, but just dragged for too many episodes. Season 7: G.G´s ultimate downfall: Because of Palladino´s departure, the show felt like a parody of itself. Nothing, but a few scenes are worth watching. A. Year in the Life: Tragedy. Don´t know how, but Palladino managed to ruin all the characters in the show save for Emily. Some of the revival´s other worst things: A stupid 10-minute musical nobody cared for watching, an absolutely aimless plot and no respect for the essence of the original show. PD: Rory´s arc is maybe the most sad and dissapointing in tv history.
@@loganrobertson3299 Yes. I know the revival was what Palladino wanted to do with season 7 in the first place, but the revival came 10 years after the finale and many of the plots introduced just did not work.
You SERIOUSLY GOT IT RIGHT! This is the most accurate list Ms Mojo has done! I have blocked Season 7 from my brain for sure. But I love the entire series, Gilmore Girls made me the woman I am today

That explains it because I love her and Luke in the first half of season 6 Season 4 has all the build up for luke and Lorelie finally getting together.
I love the episode where Lorelai and Emily go to the spa and actually have a good time in a bar for some time. My absolute favourite episode has to be where Richards mother unfortunately dies but it was just so refreshing to see Emily in her morning coat smoking and drinking in the living room.
I know I might be one of the few people who thinks this, but I actually think season 6 is pretty great. The rift between Lorelei and Rory was one of the best storylines in the show, the sad and slow drifting apart of Lorelei from Luke was also heartbreaking and memorable, the "guilty" party Logan threw for Rory in the premiere and the "English" one she threw for him in the finale (as well as their whole rocky but intriguing relationship), Emily and Richards standing up to the Huntsburgers, and most of all- the best Friday Night Dinner when they yelled, shared stories, took years of aggression on each other and ended with Rory and Lorelei walking out of there like they just escaped a hurricane... I am not entirely caught up with season 7, but I do sense a change of pace and troubling storylines popping up- but so far, I still feel the same magic and fun watching it. I watched the revival out of curiousity when I still barely watched the show properly and since then watched from the beginning. It's hard for me to pick a favorite season, because this show isn't necessarily divided like other shows, I feel like each season had some exceptionally genius episodes and amazing arcs- I cannot truly say I enjoyed Chilton or Yale better, I cannot say I didn't enjoy most of Lorelei's exes' romantic stories (even sensing early on Luke is the one), I cannot say I liked Dave better than I like Zack, etc. Honestly, it's just a really good show that seldom miss the mark and very often hits a home run. Even the revival had some amazing moments, and made me want to actually see the show religiously and convince my BF to watch with me.
While I agree that season 3 contains the series best episode, I actually think that episode is The Big One, wherein Paris has a meltdown on national TV after having sex with her boyfriend and not getting into Harvard.
*for HOW she broke up with Max, it was obvious every step of the way she wasnt anywhere near as invested in their engagement as she should be, marrying him would have been the worst choice but the one of just running away was pretty bad too, very immature but as far as characters flaws go it's not that terrible and the set up that she could be flaky was already there, i love me some emily and richard but you cant have those parents without developing some big personality issues what im trying to say is it was shitty of her but good character stuff, it's only a shame cause mark was good and it feels like they could have had a better run, this was well in the early seasons before some of her character development could kick in
I'm currently rewatching season 3 and it is hands down the best season of gilmore girls. Yes Rory became kind of rebellious because of Jess, but they also brought out the best in each other. You can see that Jess fixed his life because of Rory and became a writer and Rory was happier and slightly less uptight with Jess.
I never watched season6, 7 and the Netflix special. Thank goodness I didn’t because I don’t like the storyline direction. I’ll admire this beloved show from season 5 and back. This show is best when Rory was still high schooling it. Years later, I would love to see Rory with Jess and Lorelei with Max.
It's amazing how many times have I seen this show that I already knew how most of these seasons would be ranked. Even though I didn't agree completely with some of the choices, the seasons chosen as the worst (7 and A Year in the Life) and best (2 and 3) were spot on.
With the exception of the last season and the miniseries, along with the first and third season, I personally love how this list follows numerical order. It just amazes me how a show can be so good at the beginning and then slowly disintegrates as time goes on.
As someone who likes the show for Lorelei's dating life and not Rory's- my faves will always be 3-5. I know I'm in the minority but those seasons were just so pretty productions wise but still upbeat!
i think Rory is so dramatic and bratty in season 6 and the revival i mean the rory in the earlier series was so outgoing and determined it was quite disappointing
The mini series was so bad! I would have put it on the 8th position because it just seems that Amy came back to take revenge on the people at Warner who never gave them the support they deserved but she only managed to break me and other fans and make hate her! Like so so much!!
"april, who seems to exist simply to ensure that luke and lorelai can't be happy together" fuck yeah, such a good point. and even then there's no convincing in-script reason why april being in luke's life means he can't handle moving forward with lorelai. it's nonsense
My ranking: 1. Season 2 2. Season 3 3. Season 6 (Unpopular, I know. The fight did annoy me but it wasn't really that long.) 4. Season 1 5. Season 5 6. Season 7 7. A Year In The Life 8. Season 4
Seasons 1-4 were the best and the revival wasn't needed but from the very first episode up until Rory says, "Mom, I'm pregnant", I genuinely enjoyed the entirety of Gilmore Girls.
As far as I'm concerned, A Year in the Life can go camp out with Cursed Child in the fan-rejected canon. It ruined everything about the show. Now, that said, there are a few things that the writers did that were either SO against character or so awful, that I would fix it if I could. Firstly, Rory from even the start of season 4 would have NEVER slept with Dean. She never would've dropped out of Yale and she might not have then gotten together with Logan. I absolutely love Rory and Logan once they finally commit, though, and I also think Rory was a fool to turn down his proposal. I was waiting to see Lorelai finally marry Luke, so I'm absolutely adamant that Luke's daughter should have NEVER been considered. It led Lorelai to go off and marry Chris and not be happy. She was always meant to be with Luke... even Emily knew that. Sorry... end of rant.
Season 3 is the reason I stayed with the show through the very end of the series. I'm so glad I started watching the show with that season. The only rankings I would flip a coin on is between season 4 and 5 because both still had elements of why i love the show but I can see it was gradually getting worse ... Everybody knows those first three seasons are the best in the entire series.
I think I like the second season the best. There are a lot of things that stay the same and yet lots of things that change. Paris renews her rivalry with Rory just because in the season 1 finale Tristan tells Paris he’s going to a concert with Rory even though she turned him down. She only really begins to change her tune about Rory after Tristan is pulled out of school by his father. She even goes so far as to make Rory her running mate for student council because it will help her win. There is also a big change for Emily and Richard when Richard is forced to retire from work. When he figures out that his company is subtly trying to edge him out he has a showdown with the head of the company and abruptly quits. At first he thinks this is the best thing for him and Emily but very quickly he gets bored being home all the time and Emily is sick of having him home all the time. This leads Richard to admit retirement is horrible and work is the only thing separate of Emily that brings him joy. He ends up starting his own company and very happy once again. Lorelai makes big changes in her life by not marrying Max. She never truly admits to anyone, not even Max or Rory (supposedly the two most important people in her life at the time) why she broke things off, even becoming defensive about it. It isn’t until the end of season 6 when Emily tries to set Christopher up with a therapist that Lorelai admits she probably never loved Max and just like with Christopher in season 7 he was the person she wanted to want at the time but I think Luke was the person always keeping her from getting close to anyone else because she was always comparing other men to him. Jess arrives on the scene as perhaps the most important character not established in the first season and he even admits to Rory at the end of season 4 that he knew from the first day he met her that they belonged together. Rory did do but couldn’t bring herself to admit that she didn’t love Dean the same way he loved her. She had a hard time saying I love you to Dean and only said it at the end of season 1 because if she didn’t then she might never be able to get back together with him. She became incredibly defensive when anyone even suggested she was even friends with Jess let alone liked him more than Dean. Dean was the only part of season 2 I did not like. He was a jerk and insanely possessive and controlling of Rory. 14 phone messages in a 3 hour period in one afternoon screams “Single White Female” boyfriend edition. He was also a giant doormat and kept coming back to Rory even after she treated him like trash especially when they get into a huge argument over Jess coming over to Rory’s house when she told Dean she wanted to be alone. I also didn’t appreciate how over the top Dean got when he saw Rory was not wearing the bracelet he made for her. Had Jess not planted the bracelet in Rory’s room, I believe Dean would have broken up with Rory over this. He told her she is never allowed to take the bracelet off not even to shower or anything like that. If she takes off the bracelet it’s like not caring about the relationship. Jess eludes to this when Lorelai confronts him for being in Rory’s bedroom minutes before she finds the bracelet. He says to Lorelai that she shouldn’t consider Dean the love of Rory’s life since she didn’t even know the bracelet was missing for two whole weeks. In the real world no one realizes a bracelet like that is not on your wrist for more than a few hours maybe one day. I mean does Rory not look down at her arms especially when getting dressed or showering and not know the bracelet is not there? Earrings I get because I’ve lost earrings before they were in my ears because I didn’t change the earrings for a long time and my hair covered my ears and I didn’t feel anything happen. Other than the whole Dean thing season 2 really is the best season of the entire series at least in my opinion.
Top 3,2,1,4,5,6,AYITL,7 Top(favorite) 1,3,4,2...the others could go in any order with S7 infinitely the least fav I just have to add that I don't understand everyone's obssesion with Jess, yes he was fun and shook stuff up but he's hardly a character I look back on well especially in S3
I actually think season 1 is the best. It sets out the whole story line. Everybody is a mystery. Chilton is hell for Rory. Friday night dinners are hell for Lorelai. Both the mother daughter spend a lot of time together eating junk and watching movies and both are unsure of how to deal with Chilton. Plus Rory is weird about Dean and it’s cute and Lane is scared of her mother so that only adds to the comedy.

I would've happily taken season 7 over the revival any day, to be honest :)
i'm thinking of rewatching the first three seasons of gilmore girls after my exams because those seasons were gold
I cant be the only one who loves season 5 the most... idk why i just do okay yes
The dance marathon episode is definitely my favourite! ❤
Omg i just finished watching the show +the day in a life episodes! Such a good tv show
While I understand why a lot of people don’t like where Rory is in A Year in the Life, as a contemporary of hers, I loved it. It was very realistic.
As someone who likes the show for Lorelei's dating life and not Rory's- my faves will always be 3-5. I know I'm in the minority but those seasons were just so pretty productions wise but still upbeat!
Season 3 is my favourite too! :-)
For me
1:season 4
2: season 1
3:season 3
4:season 2
5:season 5
6:season 7
7:year in the life
8: season 6
i think Rory is so dramatic and bratty in season 6 and the revival i mean the rory in the earlier series was so outgoing and determined it was quite disappointing
The mini series was so bad! I would have put it on the 8th position because it just seems that Amy came back to take revenge on the people at Warner who never gave them the support they deserved but she only managed to break me and other fans and make hate her! Like so so much!!
The fact Jess asked dory to leave tell them later on scolded her for dropping out lol actually shows a lot of growth
7: Season 6
6: Season 4
5: Season 7
4: Season 1
"april, who seems to exist simply to ensure that luke and lorelai can't be happy together" fuck yeah, such a good point. and even then there's no convincing in-script reason why april being in luke's life means he can't handle moving forward with lorelai. it's nonsense
I totally agree with season 3 being the best, but I also really liked season 5 just because of Luke and Lorelai finally being together.
For me
1. Season 5
2. Season 3
3. Season 2
4. Season 1
5. Season 4
6. Season 7
7. Season 6
8. Year In The Life
I agree but I would switch season 3 and 5
Can you guys please make some videos about the show Bones? It's really popular and you don't have any..
I actually prefer the later seasons. Luke and lorelai are together. Rory really gets on my nerves throughout the entire series.
Tell me about it she got annoying
After season 3 I was done,. They stared getting so annoying.
Season 6 was one of my favourites
I knew season three was number 1
Next on ms mojo
Top 10...
My ranking:
1. Season 2
2. Season 3
3. Season 6 (Unpopular, I know. The fight did annoy me but it wasn't really that long.)
4. Season 1
5. Season 5
6. Season 7
7. A Year In The Life
8. Season 4
Seasons 1-4 were the best and the revival wasn't needed but from the very first episode up until Rory says, "Mom, I'm pregnant", I genuinely enjoyed the entirety of Gilmore Girls.
Very awesome 😊
Logan shouting out "I have guests" but me hearing it as "I have gas" lol
I honestly love all seven seasons
Seasons one, two and three are of course the best!
Season 1 is the best #teamDean

1,3,4,2...the others could go in any order with S7 infinitely the least fav
I just have to add that I don't understand everyone's obssesion with Jess, yes he was fun and shook stuff up but he's hardly a character I look back on well especially in S3
I rewatch seasons 3 and 4 so often
I actually think season 1 is the best. It sets out the whole story line. Everybody is a mystery. Chilton is hell for Rory. Friday night dinners are hell for Lorelai. Both the mother daughter spend a lot of time together eating junk and watching movies and both are unsure of how to deal with Chilton. Plus Rory is weird about Dean and it’s cute and Lane is scared of her mother so that only adds to the comedy.
I agree with season 3 being the best, but I also really like season 5
Season 1 is the best for me.
