I had really enjoy your video about the Canning stock route. You two are more than a documentary video producers!!! It is really a A to Z video including everything about the Canning stock route (landscape, animals, birds, insects and people) , you had not let anything out in the video. It seems to me Australia are a beautiful country to me.I can relate to your country, because I am from Africa in Namibia.Looking forward to see more videos you two produce in the future.
Thanks for what you are doing and have done. Just the tonic to view while being isolated from the pandemic. Funny being in isolation watching you guys in an isolated area. Great work.I am impressed with your bird knowledge.
Thanks Pradip. Quite a compliment considering the competition we have nowadays. I'm wondering how long till the canning will be paved for easier accessibility.
You guys just made my day. Excellent video! I really enjoyed it and clearly this is one of the most professionally made amateur videos for traveling I've ever seen! Great, great job!
Fanstastic job Foreman and Wilms. I have watched this probaly 4-5 times over the last 12 months. can't wait to organisea trip over that way. looking forward to more vids from you guys. cheers
Stumbled across this vid yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The vid seemed authentic & genuine as well as entertaining. I look forward to watching more.
What a fantastic little documentary.Loved it from start to finish. One of the best I've seen on YT,and believe me, I've watched my fair share of content.
Great, great video. At first I thought 38 minute...then after the first minute I was hooked. Did not want it to end. Great work. The canning stock route is on the cards for me in the near future and your video gave me a much better understanding of a number of aspects to consider. I loved it, thanks so much for sharing this

Great video Mr Foreman. You bring a unique and entertaining style of presentation to your video Documentaries added to a dry wit that I find extremely refreshing. Looking forward to when you hit the mainstream.
What a great trip! Well produced video, very interesting & thanks for all birds & wildlife along the way. You guys are so lucky to have all that countryside to off road in! Good on ya cobber & yer missus.
Well done, another great production. Did the CSR last year and used your video as a part of my homework / prep :-). Loved the trip and won't forget it any time soon. Please keep up your great work on Western Australia!
Quite excellent! The knowledgeable appreciation of the flora and fauna. If only all 4 wheel drivers and travellers et cetera had the same respect for the country they were travelling though as you guys. Glad I watched.
Just wonderful guys, thanks for all your efforts in putting this together. I too wonder why you haven't been taken up by a TV channel, . . . . these are the real reality shows !!. Cheers.
I really liked the effort you went into doing this video, When I first seen you had a defender at the start I shuddered at such a trip by yourself. We also had a defender and did the cape york telegraph trip 10 years ago,it didn't give us any trouble and when we sold it we were very sad indeed. We now have two Pajero's and want to do this trip and even more after watching your video. Awesome video

Greetings from Jersey G.B...!! Great video my best 40minuts spent this week, what a journey to accomplish..!!! keep the good sense of humor going, nice one. Paulo
+Benno M Thanks for the comments Benno. There's more stuff on the channel. We're just putting up a series of adventure films called western walkabout. We're working on number 2 now and hoping to upload that in a few weeks. Cheers.
I'd recommend 3 weeks though my esteemed companion Mr Ganley zoomed through in 2 weeks. That extra week allows for some side trips and a slower pace that's good for both humans and vehicles. The Connie sue will be a great trip. I've had my eye on the Anne beadall myself which will be my next project if I make it back home.
Greetings there. My first trip on the canning was north to south and I think it's the best way to go. The bulk of the traffic goes the other way and the dunes are less steep. Following up with the Kimberley will make for a fantastic trip. best of luck, even with good planning a little luck is always helpful.
retry tobuy cheers for the positive feedback. Have you checked out exploring shark bay, holland track and shoal water bay? Should be starting some new ones around March.
***** I am "stranded" now in the islands where I live, but at least enjoying your videos! Wishing to travel accross Africa (saw your video there, and that continent is close to where I live). We will be waiting for the next video! Thx for sharing!
Well done on your CSR movie. Excellent coverage of wildlife and side trips (hikes). Great editing and very creative of sound effects. Very entertaining and informative. Brought back wonderful memories of our crossing, also south to north back in May 2017. Cheers Peter (Adventure8.com.au)
Hi Gavin absolutely loved this video hope you guys keep producing more of them, i would love to see you guys travel some of our pioneers footsteps including Charles Sturt from the dividing range along the Murrumbidgee river down to the end of the mighty Murray ending at Lake Alexandrina, or John McDouall Stuart who trained under Charles Sturt who was the first European to successfully cross our amazing continent from south to north who i think Australians do not Know enough about, or John McDouall Stuart fierce rivalries Burke and Wills tracks would be another good travel. any way keep up the good work cheers.
great video, did a trip across the Simpson & up the Birdsville track in the late 70's in a Landrover towing a trailer, this film reminded me of how great it was to just take off & get away from it all, got all my super 8's out now reminiscing the past :) thanks for putting your film up, i enjoyed every minute of it.
Brett Mcleod greetings Brett. I'm intending to make a little film on what we take with us and why. Have you still got your old Land Rover? Cheers for the comments.
No the old girl is long gone, but your video has got me interested in doing another trip somewhere, a video would be great to see what people take on there trips these days, it would help with planning a trip, i know when i used to go away i always forgot something :)

We travelled the Canning from North to South in 1998 as part of a "tag along" tour via the RACV .... not an easy way to go albeit we had the advantage of being in a "convoy" of 18 vehicles including two doctors, a nurse, and three mechanics. This adventure will always be in our memories ....
Bob KelletI 'm envious of your backup party. It would have been great to have traveled the Canning back then as it would be getting a little busy now. Cheers for the comments.
Just showed this on the big screen to a group of fellow travelers. Loved all around. 38 minutes was "too short". Looking forward to the next film, Mr. Foreman!
A very interesting video and commentary.Did this trip in 1996 in my V6 Toyota 4runner with a 130 long range tank plus exrta fuel in Jerry cans. The spinife issue was solved by having two 20 litre garden sprayers which when pumped up would give about 40 PSI pressure and then shove the nozzle where there were sings of smoke. Good sturdy piece of wire to pull the spinifex out and dampen the underneath. Fly wire was fitted across the radiator which stopped the grass etc from collecting in the radi.
I was wondering to see the inner red land of Australia, this video has fullfilled much of my requirement and expect more detailed videos in future. Cheers
Great video of places I have been, I did a trip up from Wiluna to leave a fuel dump about 2000, but have never done the full track. Been to the other end at Halls Creek as well, to old now to even think about doing the trip.
Loved it, great effort on the vid and the obvious editing saga which I'm sure took as long as the trip itself. Got a troopy and a JK Jeep my self, and sell parts for Landrover so it was interesting video to watch from the vehicle point of view. But I also loved the adventure view of what happens when you go bush. Great effort Gavin!! Pls enlighten us on the tyre brand that let you down given that it's a big issue on such trips.
And to think I paid money for a Pat Callighan DVD on the Canning which was nothing more than a series of commercials and shameless plugs for his sponsors. Mate...this is awesome stuff. How or why the commercial stations haven't picked up on this is beyond me. Brilliant job. Great editing. Very informative and got a few giggles along the way too. Cheers and beers mate.

Greetings Lee, when we returned from doing the Western Walkabout trip we stopped in Newman and a few of the locals knew who we were from the Canning video including one of Franks relatives.
