Since we can barely hear Booker T. Jones's lead keyboards, that might explain why. A lot of guitar star-power on that stage incl. original Booker T & the MGs guitarist Steve Cropper who gets his solo due that night. But honestly, the number of folks, albeit superstars, up on that stage looked like the line to a men's bathroom between acts at a mid-1970s arena rock concert.

1962 has no mention in this caption as part of the band. He is present on stage along with Duck playing bass but gets no mention. Steinberg is on the far left near Booker T. who's on organ.

Wtf Why didn't he call out don the duck I mean it was his song wow Huh. I met the duck at the hard rock hotel IN 95-96 where I was working. He had stopped using the pipe cause he got throat cancer. We developed a friendship and used to go out to sand dollar blues lounge here in Las Vegas .
What a great guy never let the fame get to him Just a good ole boy to the end . Surely missed. We talked about Delaney Bramlett whose daughter Bekka and susan I went to high school with in an LA suburb. And how Delaney should Be INDUCTED to hall of fame also.
I was so young and the internet wasn't even really big yet yet always a fan of sam and dave I never knew he played all those great 60s show with them. Those videos are sooo great Man SAm AND dave and booker t and the mgs on that 1967 stax Europe show were the best ever.
If I hadn't been soo young and known soo little of his music Id a asked him about touring with SAm and Dave, but maybe he liked me cause like ronnie van zant wrote. Don't ask me no questions and I wont tell U NO lies. The duck was definitely one of the greatest bass players ever . Told me hed never play anything but a FENDER not even ricky.

This video makes me realize why Hendrix, Page, Clapton, Allman, Chuck Berry, Prince, Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, and several hundred others never played in one band together.

I am an engineer and mathematician with a little bit of music background. I love how there is a common "language" in these fields. Good musicians understand what Key of F means and what a beat is. Good engineers and math folks can communicate in their own way.

What a mess! It’s inaudible! The musicians are having fun, but I’m bored ! Green onions is GREEN ONIONS : Booker T on organ, Cropper on guitar, Steinberg on bass, and Jackson Jr on drums
