- I recently watched a film called 'The Lighthouse.' I was really inspired by the beautiful old garments in the film. I made this dress based on an antique fisherman's smock but I changed some details to make it more feminine like the gathering at the front. I used a brown Japanese cotton seersucker fabric for this dress. I hope you enjoy watching the process.
Music (in order)
Moon Saloon 'Heartache'
Kana Wakareno 'Utopia Scapes'
Aaron Kenny 'Watercolour lilies'

The dress is so beautiful 😍
Fabulous! Can you buy Japanese seersucker or something similar in Australia? Your new studio is fabulous! Thank you.
Thank you! I got this seersucker from an Australian store that sells Japanese fabrics. Store is called The Drapery x
@@softenstudio Great - thanks for the info. I like the silent vlogs. Very meditative.
This is lovely; I was too scared to watch the Lighthouse! And Adelaide is my absolute favourite place in Australia - I was there years ago. I just don't understand why you haven't got hundreds of thousands of views - your videos are gorgeous (I've told all my friends!).
Thank you Gael! You're so lovely :)
I moved to Adelaide only 6 months ago with my husband. We really love the natural and beautiful landscapes here. Hehe The lighthouse is not too scary. It's a little intense but I really loved the style of filming and costume design. x
@@softenstudio I shall try and watch it then! It looks fascinating. Wishing you much happiness in Adelaide (and enjoy all those fabulous wineries - I shall think of you when I open my next bottle of Yalumba!). x
