Russ I’m glad London Bridge is OURS now! So majestic! Ride the Dixie Bell!❤️😀🇺🇸🚙
I remember back in the early 60's, it was called Site Six.Mcculgh made boat motors in ,he bought a bunch of land for around $ 80 bucks a acer,I was a teenager on 63,had alotof fun and crazy times back in the days, thanks ,brought back alot of mimoires.
Woh!, wanna talk to Ya................I grew up in Havasu!
@@tc9992 I grew up in Needles,59's& 60's, had some great times.
Site six is still there.
Drone footage of Lake Havasu was excellent. Thanks 👍👍
Hey Russ, Fun trip today, thanks. Your To Cool my Friend. 👍
Keep on quacking!.....thanks again for another journey!....
Very friendly staff at the visitor center. We were there during the Christmas lights show and they gave us so much information about nearby attractions. Very helpful!
I mentioned on another video of yours that I lived out there in the early 70's. I remember when they were assembling the bridge how they had massive stockpiles of blocks all over the place. It was hard to imagine how they would reassemble that bridge. Lots of great memories. Be healthy, stay safe and many blessings.
many many years ago when hitchhiking cross-country I got "stuck" in Lake Havasu in July and said "never again." Today I'd give anything to get back there as I tackle snow where I am now. If anything, I luv your voice and travels. Keep sharing and I will keep following you!
Hey Russ!!! "YEAH" Warmer weather now!!!
We were there 3 weeks ago.
From Albuquerque...
Thanks for sharing...
Loved the video. I like the landscape there a lot.
Hey Russ, Stumbled upon your channel last August. I havent lived in Havasu since i was a kid, and every now and then i visit your past videos to feel nostalgic about my early child hood. So it's always nice to get a new one. Hopefully sooner than later I will have the means to get back out there.
Heyyyyyy When did you live there? We did from 1971- 1979
I also lived in Havasu as a kid, from 70's thru 80's, left to join Army and never have been able to return. I love the videos as this place feels like home. I miss it a ton. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for letting me ride shotgun. Indianapolis Indiana here!
I didn't believe my husband when he said that the bridge was shipped from London, lol. You learn something new every day. So jealous of all that open space, what a great country to explore, thanks for sharing
That backroad is cool, and it takes you to the city quicker… thanks for taking that road.
Went there with friends in high school in 1973. There used to be a fish and chips place very close to the bridge, about where the beach house is today. They even served the fish wrapped in newspaper! I remember the banners on the bridge also.
I remember that too Mike!
Good to see London Bridge. I must have walked over it hundreds of times, when I worked in Croydon in the early 1960s. I would come into Cannon St Station on the train and walk over the bridge to Londonn Bridge Station for the train to East Croydon.
Robert McCulloch bought the bridge for $2,460,000 in 1968 and it cost $7,000,000 to transport and rebuild it.
Looks like a great place to spend some time Russ, Thanks!!
Riding back home in WV, returning from piano lessons, Daddy listening to WV Jamboree, we would mimic the McCullough Chain Saw commercial, playing on the radio. Still gives us the giggles! :)
We took our kids about mid 90s to Lake Havasu. We took a boat tour and it was so fantastic. The only bad thing is it was 120 that day. We went in July. My son and my husband swam across the channel
Wreaths still hanging from beautiful Christmas lighting.
Just finished editing my own video of my visit to London Bridge. It is a really cool place in Lake Havasu
Hey Russ. I'll be there Friday afternoon!
Beautiful drone footage. That's such a neat place. Love the bridge. I do remember how beautiful it was at Christmas time. Nice viditors center. Lots of history all over that area. 😊👍
Thanks Russ !
They started to close Havasu Landing Casino last year for covid clean-up. The year before it was closed. Some progress i guess. You ought to get up there for spring break. The "views" are a heart stopper.
Amazing! You bring the world to our chairs.!
I just shoveled off my deck for the third time this evening :-)Tme to head south!
Thanks for finding us the free spot. 🙄👍
This was nice. I hope to visit one day.
I was walking down by the bridge this morning and i believe I saw you down there. I checked out some places that i hadn't been before, thanks to you.
Thank you for sharing. I remember in the 1960's reading about it or seeing it on TV and people were laughing about a bridge In the desert.
Another great video, beautiful scenery and loaded with lots of information. The Christmas video was beautiful.
Great video! Thanks! That was ingenious to build the bridge on land and then dig channel underneath. Glad the lake has water and isn’t like Mead or Powell.

🙋♀️Hello Russ! Lone Tree BLM looked peaceful. The 1st mountain on your left looked like a mans head looking up with the forehead, nose, lips, & chin in area of the lobster claw. Was perfect day to get out to visit Lake Havasu City, the Visitor Center did a wonderful presentation of the history surrounding London Bridge. Awesome vast look over the area with the aerial view. Beautiful blue water. So much to enjoy here. You had me quacking up!👍
Thanks Russ! Enjoyed!
Thanks Russ. We'll be visiting Havasu soon 👍
My dad bought property there in the late sixty’s. Sold it in the seventy’s. Said Havasu would never amount to anything. If he could only see it today!!!!
I lived there from 1968 to 1973. My dad was a power plant operator. Watched them bring in the pieces of the bridge and then went to the big celebration of the bridge. We use to put our boat in at Parker and ski up to Lake Havasu and dock our boat dock they had right below the bridge. My parents years later wish they would have bought property because it was so cheap.
Virginia Beach in the house 🏡
Well I was about 300 yards away from you the other day. I could see my van in the beginning of the video.
Hey russ up near wickenburg there is a road called vulture mtn road that goes through some mountains with a few gold mines .a good ride for the dusty nugget
Russ, why did you leave us in the van @ Walmart this time? I wanted an ice cream cone and a candy bar, and you didn't get them. Waaaa! HAHA! All kidding aside, we love your videos and look forward to your next new one! Keep on truckin'.
Great job Russ 👍
Hi Russ!
Happy travels! There’s someplace used to hear of a floating bridge. Then again I may have gotten coordinates off!
I love the lake Havasu area. London Bridge is something else. Lol. How did all the padlocks get started.?
Have heard about a nice dog park there near London Bridge. Hoping to check it out sometime soon.
Could walk right into the wall mural!
Last time I was in LHC my shoes sunk in the blacktop and I could not pull them out, I had to leave them in the parking lot of my dads condo!!
Russ, You know what happens when ducks fly upside down? They "quack-up!"
You drove right by my house contact me next time your out ill show you some good spots on the RZR. Check out the bunker bar and the hangar 2 places worth visiting.
Good stuff MrRuss🌝
👍
I haul part of that 🌉 from long beach to lake Havasu Mr McCulloch chainsaws
Hey Russ is there a boat ride to the casino across the lake?
Around 1965 we took a free round trip by air from L.A to Havasu to look at property! Our Agent was supposed to escort us but was not there on the day of the trip! She was in jail for Bank Robbery! We bought the property and sold it in the early 1970's! I believe that McCullagh owned the chain saw company. I think Havasu was his idea! A long time back! Ron USA, PTL
Is the state land immediately north of the Walmart still open for boondocking?
no its not
Big fireworks start February 16 to 18
Thanks for sharing this event. I had not heard about it. Looks like a good time.
Nice Tardis wanna-be :)
