wickenburg is awesome
The statue in front of the Desert Caballeros Museum is of my grandpa and his quarter horse. Grandpa was a real cowboy and had a cattle ranch in Camp Verde, AZ. He lived into his nineties and, although being blind and deaf in is old age, he could still saddle and ride his horse
Russ you hold the record for quickest museum museum tours
Thanksfor stopping and doing a walk around including the Museum. Be safe on the roads Russ.
Love this western town of Wickenburg❤
I usually don’t like museums much.. but I love this one…I love Wickenberg…
Wickenberg….. what a great little town.. I love the Town Hall with the big cactus!!!! What a cool place..
I rode my horse into one of the bars, had to escape up the old dry river bed and off into the mountains. all fun back then , I think in the 1970’s We got away, again. I will tour that town soon. Some people deserve a lot of credit for keeping the museum and learning center up to see. thanks Rus
Thanks for today’s travels, always interesting. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
What a lovely Museum.
cowboy hats on the lamp posts....nice touch! thanks for the tour!
Russ, I'm not convinced those are "brand" icons on the street sign. Yet, I don't have a better answer. Still a beautiful town. thank you for posting these videos.
Looks like it was a nice day to visit Wickenburg!
Nice little town, lots to see and do, thanks for sharing, travel safe
Looks like a pretty town ,nice and clean .
Good’ol American Steel made that train. The museum was very impressive, compliments to the curators and staff👍 Great stop Russ.
That is a good museum!!!
Thanks for the ride down memory lane, Russ.
Same thing here, Russ. Drove through many times. Wanted to stop, but always somewhere else to get to. So, thanks for the excursion!
Wickenburg looks like a nice place to live. Interesting 3-D projected store clerk. In addition, interesting brands on the street signs. All in all “Too cool for School!”
I love Wickenburg! I have wanted to move there for years. Last visited in 2020. Hoping to be back this coming Feb.
Every time I watch your videos I wish my folks had of kept their property in Havasu,. Arizona is the first place I ever stepped off a plane and felt, yep I could live here no problem.
Great tour! Thanks Russ!
Safe travels
Very nice video, thank you! Ron PTL USA
I enjoy your tours of little Western towns. The best thing about high diesel prices is you're less likely to stray past the Mississippi!
Very true!
Russ I must say I enjoy my arm chair travels with you. Its interesting as "we" travel through these small towns and I recognize a building or place I visited years gone by as I did in Wickenburg . Safe travels!
Hey Hey it's Russ, Thanks so much for taking us all along today my friend. WICKENBURG TO COOL FOR SCHOOL 👍
Safe travels Russ 😊 nice town I would love to visit one day .....😋
Good day to you sir. This is Ted from San Antonio Texas. I hope you make it through this make it would someday. Thank you for showing me around on your adventures. I definitely loved Oatman one's the best
It's grown alot in the last 50 yrs use to drive through here in the 70s
The good people of Wickenburg have done a fantastic job of presenting their city to the world, including the downtown areas and the museum! This should be an ‘All-American City’ (award) if not awarded already. Great leadership and civic pride. KUDOS!
Way to keep going 👍
Wickenburg! Cool!
Great stuff Russ. Getting closer to my neck of the woods off Carefree Hwy! Cheers!!
Wickenburg grew up. From the 70's. No traffic circle!! Thanks for taking us along!!! Safe travels!!!
OLD town's hard to find! I have been to the Elks Hall check it out! A crossed the street from the train. They have a very old Bar with some history too! thank you Russ ALL stay safe
This has been my favorite town thus far. Spent a few weeks here thus past winter. People are very friendly and it is clean as a whistle! Love ut!
Wickenburg is so awesome!
My hometown! You should have gone to one of the arenas and watched some team roping.
There is a lot more to see in Wickenburg. You just did a teaser. Hope you get up to Yarnell. I am along for the ride.
Cool Museum Russ. I especially like the Holograph at the General Store. You can tell that the community has put a ton of money into the Museum.
How do Russ, Wife and I enjoy riding along! Some of my old haunts from the 70s were GaintRock in LandersCa. and PioneerTown CA. I'm sure it is not the same but it was Too Kwel For School
Yeah here is today's trip!
Yay Wickenburg!🤠
Russ, there is a lot more in that town. I think you missed the real old part of town…..however The museum tour was great, next time I am there, going to a-lot 2-3 hours to go through it…..did not know about it…..Thanks again 👍🏻
I kept thinking of Joe DiMaggio for some reason. Ah well..baffled from too much fresh air and sunshine.
They must have one heck of a water bill.
Hi Russ, thanks for taking us with you !!
Love Wickenburg. My son and I were there about 10 years ago. Hot day and cute ice cream shop in old town, tasted so good.
Always a good tour with RVerTV, then back on the road. One can plan a good vacation with these tours.
Russ thank you for sharing your video with us. It takes my mind with your travels. I have question for you? Have you ever been to El Ray Arizona?
Does anybody else hear Bruce Dern when Russ speaks? TY Russ
Amazing things can happen when you add water to a desert.
I was an apprentice railroad worker in Wickenburg back in about 1955, I am 85 now and I dont recognize anything now
Brand on the live stock
At 14:20 what appears to be a stagecoach.
Just outside of Wickenburg a stagecoach like that was attacked by Indians. Inside the stagecoach was the grandfather of future 1964 Presidential candidate Barry Goldwater.
The people in the stagecoach fought off the attackers, but I believe a couple died. The rest walked into town.
i wish I'm the camera man . nice content as always. keep safe
Wow! That was very interesting! Thank you!
My poor poor friend lost her horse in Wickenburg last year. She was with the group riding out in the desert and her horse got away somehow. She spent a lot of time and money into posting about the horse. It was found by some hikers. They returned her tack to her. They had found her on social media. The story is many many months long of hunting for her horse. It’s the saddest thing. Everybody in that area was looking for this horse. Her name was Ameera.
Thank you Russ, what a beautiful video, travel safe, Regards from Ladysmith, BC, Canada.
Thanks Russ! Sure enjoy driving around with you.
great video! what does the 2022 virtual road trip look like this summer Russ?

Charming little town, thanks!
Was nice to walk around town. 👍👍😳🤗Thank you. Been a lot of years since I've been to Arizona....on my bucket list. Beautiful weather now. Wonderful museum. Can't beat the senior discount price. Take care
we have been there several times and this is as if we were walking the same sidewalks once again.
Great beginning; been thru there many times. Nice museum. Keep us along for the ride😎😎😎
Wickenburg is a nice, clean town & your video captured it well. You missed "The Jail tree" across from Nana's & behind Circle K. Unique treatment of the "wayward"😉 Thank you for sharing. Miss it already having spent the Christmas holiday there on empty streets. Enjoy your channel!
Because of your comment, I searched "The Jail Tree" on RUclips and watched a very interesting (and entertaining) video with the history. Thank you!
The museum says now $12 for adults and $10 for seniors…. Just out of curiosity, when was your visit?
Did you see the jail tree? Was at a corner of the main junction in the old town….
Nice video :o)
With the drought wonder if they will run out of water? Not much snow in the mountains.
Well done Did the same route last week. Stayed in Agulla and Salome. Great folks and conversation sun and warmth. Wickenburg was great Carefree Camper just started their new van builds in Wickenburg Blackhawk and Madi and 2 Corgi dogs Great young couple. Jail Tree was great in Wickenburg Roping horse capital of the US?
Ill travel wy.
Been there did the museum which is cool. Went across street from the horse and cowboy statue and had ice cream.
Was a good stop.
Statue said thank you for the rain...
Believe the cowboy was praying.
Hey Russ! Glad you’re hitting the road and moving along! I’d be lost without your content! 👍🏻🤠
YAY !!!!!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Lots more to see here in Wickenburg, Russ, and tons of trails for Dusty Nugget.
Russ they're turning that rt 60 into interstate 11 I believe up closer to Vegas.... sure have come along ways since I started that vegas to Phoenix turn around back in the 80's..... boom n bust boom n bust!! Kingman keeps on hanhin on tho! it's either 11 or 7 number they used
On the road again, like a band of gypsies we go down the highway...with Russ in the driver's seat! 🙂 As others have mentioned Wickenburg has sure grown since I was there years ago. It's still a cool place and that museum looks like a great place to check out. "Love these small town museums", indeed! There's always some bit of local history on display that you'll never see anywhere else.
That is a neat town, What an amazing museum for such a small town. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks Russ.
That’s half a man with half a horse☮️🌵how old was that building
Thanks Russ... Needed this today!
Thanks for the trip Russ the last time I saw Wickenburg I was a very young lad from what I remember you had to drive thru there to get to Phoenix it was a lot smaller than what it is now...holy smokes
So was Phoenix!
@@rickcrippen5180 Yes it was, I was born there 1957 then my parents moved to California two years later we still went back to see my cousin's every year
Great roadtrip. Thanks for the ride-a-long, Russ. Love the scenery. I might need to move to Arizona!
Wickenburg was a great stop! They’ve done an excellent job on their museum! 👍
Hi Russ, great start to the road trip. Really enjoyed the video. Can't wait for the small town that's next.Stay safe.
thumbs up RUSS ENJOY THE DRIVE and leave only footprints
I’m thinking you want to avoid Phoenix. Two ways of doing that: go south from Buckeye to Gila Bend then Ajo, Organ Pipe Cactus Monument, and east to SE AZ. OR… go north around Phoenix, out through Apache Jct and down through historic Florence, Casa Grande Monument, Tucson area and then out to Cochise County: Bisbee, Tombstone, Karchner Caverns, Colossal Cave, Chiracahua Monument, etc. All avoiding cities & freeways.
Since the beginning of quarantine, I have watched hundreds of RUclips vlogs, and I enjoy yours so much! We do a lot of road-tripping, and are finally getting our first camper next month! Maybe we’ll see you ‘on the road’!
Russ. Grand tour! Great museum! I just love the western history. Thanks for taking me along & sharing. Very interesting, informative & fun.
My husband and I stumbled on Wickenburg accidentally and absolutely loved it. We came back one more time and I came back one more time after he died. The first time we came was after 9/11 and we were driving at night from Parker to Wickenburg. We saw some lights in the distance and rolled down our windows and heard some murmuring and muffled sounds, actually kind of spooky. We stopped and realized that people were running across America with a flag to complete the flight of the plane that was heading from New York to California. I think it's the one that crashed because the people took control. I got goosebumps and chills all over. It was silent except for the slapping of the feet on the asphalt. I still get chills and tears to this day.
Great video as usual. You mentioned the ( not so good lighting),
but it wasn't too bad. Thanks for the tour.
I was thinking about checking out Wickenburg, thanks for the interesting video!
Nice 👍 town beautiful ♥️ drive adventure enjoying fr jamaica 🇯🇲🌞🏖️
I remember seeing a late 1950s colour movie that was filmed in Wickenburg. It was a suspense/crime movie about criminals stealing rich gold ore from a mine that was still owned by someone. They were getting ore out and flying it to Mexico for refining. I remember at the time, that it was a good quality film. Just cant remember the name or any of the actors in it. Anyone else know what I'm 'on about' ?
Hey Russ!!! "FOLLOW THE SUN"!!! To the "SMALL TOWNS" Of Arizona"!!!
Back on the road, yay! Thanks for taking us along Russ, Wickenburg looks really cool. Waved to you and the horse!
Let’s go
