We did this trip in fall of 2019, saw many of the places you mentioned. Thanks for the memories! We stayed at the same KOA. The trains going through during the night drove my wife crazy! Me, slept like a baby. After crossing over the Bridge of the Gods and driving down the Washington side our daughter had another gall stone attack, kinda ruined that drive. We got back to our site and she had another attack so we went to the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital and spent half the night until we got the pain under control. Great staff at that hospital. Enjoy your travels!
More than a couple of waterfalls on highway thirty up to melt noma falls and then several more passed it on the way back to the highway. I live in portland and it is a beautiful drive. I'd also And courage you to go up to the restaurant at molt.Noma falls beautiful view and the food is great.
Another great episode from the summer trip🙂 Wow, those lampreys at the Bonneville fish ladder viewing window are super creepy! There's so much to see in that area, there's never enough time to see it all. If you ever make it back I highly recommend a visit to the world-class Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River.
We traveled on the interstate many, many times in the 18wheeler. One time we had to deliver Freightliner cab shells on the Washington side going across a narrow metal bridge. The factory was right along the river. Pretty neat.
the vista house had to be made from stone because of the winds they get every single year are hurricane force winds pushing 100 mph all the time. It was built in 1917 as a rest stop for travelers.
Some have woodstoves still here in Sweden. Especially if you live out in the countryside or have a summer house. Good to have if the electricity goes out. You can buy modern types of them too. 👍🏻😁 I love this video. It was really informative and interesting. Thank you! ❤
Supposed to have been raining hard up there with lots more to come as I post this. That's why it's so green up there. Dittos on some of the best state parks in America, ( if not the best?),. Clean. Organized etc.. Oregon doesn't charge stupid prices for them either the way many states do - at least, not when I was there last. Traveled the 30 once - lots to see along the way. Cheers. 👍
Just under the Bridge of the Gods in the parking lot are Native Indians selling their fresh caught salmon at below market prices - they also sell smoke salmon that is amazing
like to follow along with google earth to get a better idea where yih are at . this time I saw a white van parked exactly where you were when making the vista house vid . what ate tha odds it was your van ??
those boaters at cascade locks were just jerks, thunder island is not that big and wouldn’t be too big of a detour for them to go around to get to the boat ramp.
Thanks, RVerTV,Russ, let the journey continue.👍
You're welcome!
Safe travels Russ let the Journey continue🤠
