Craziest thing happened today. Got an email telling me I finally have 1000 subscriptions, ha. Haven't made a video in 6 years. Now that I am old and disabled and can't make them anymore. I have to get all my kicks watching Russ. Love watching your travels, especially in Arizona. Love you bunches.
Russ, I recently discovered your channel. I love your voice and narration, the background music and, of course, all the information you provide on each of your travel adventure videos. I enjoy the videos so much that I became a channel member! Thank you for all the hard work you do in creating these videos. Also I appreciate how positive you are about life and how you can enjoy yourself while traveling alone. Of course I feel like I'm right there with you because you talk to your viewers like we really are with you! Heck yeah, we are with you!! Thank you Russ!
The Ancient Giant Art was very interesting. An observer has to wonder what type of tools were used to forge the Giant Art. Also, with California’s many weather quakes these are preserved; very mysterious. The giant sheep looked more like a horse to me. Midland was very isolated. Too bad the buildings are gone. The museum did save some of the history. Russ, looks like you lost some weight with all your summer travel and visits to many places where you had to walk to include your viewers. Good for you!!
1:02:35 Enjoyed the museum in Midland, California. 👍 Respect to the persons who created the interpretive panels, images within the trailer. Very impressive. I’m glad you took us there, Russ.
22:31 The intaglio geoglyphs are fascinating. Great 👍 job showing us these Native American artworks with your awesome drone camera work! Thank you, Russ.
Blythe hasn't changed much since the 60s. There's a little bit of progress but not much. The interstate is the only thing keeping that town alive. The weather is staying decent here in Bishop, Calif. Looks like i won't need to make the trip down there this winter again but that could change. Safe Travels.
Nice video, Russ. My grandfather lived in Blyth in the late 1970s. He said it remind him of Phoenix, back when he was young. I'm also a big History Channel fan. The new season of The Curse of Oak Island starts this coming Tuesday. Last couple of seasons they've been finding artifacts that could rewrite the history books. Can't wait to see what they uncover next.
Hi, Russ I am camping 🏕 now at the LTVA La Posa south hope to maybe run into you to say high while I am staying in the area. Going to see the vendors Tuesday to see how many are open.Take care, Mike
Wow, the museum in Midland is pretty amazing in more ways than one. First, that it exists and second that it hasn't been trashed by some yahoos. Major props to whoever is responsible for keeping it going. Seeing the classroom photo I'm a little surprised you didn't say "Too cool for school" 🙂
I appreciate all this very much and occasionally check in. I've been aware of Quartzite with your tours. Thank you. As you get to Midland LTVA my experience is like looking at outer space. I had no idea. So thanks for your info and tour. So cool to explore the Arizona California border. Wow. ~~~~ New Hampshire.
When you go to Palm Springs next week, can you do a little history class on Palm Springs. You normally do that anyway, just like your spin on it better than the other folks. Thanks for all you do, you do a great job!
What a great video and adventure you took us on in this video Russ. The Blythe Intaglios thew me for a loop as I spotted them one as I flew over them and thought I was imagining them. Thanks Russ and happy trails.
Thank you Russ for this trek through the the desert! All the way to California! I hope they don’t use up the Colorado Rive! I appreciate those ancient drawings! I’d love to see the rest of them in the US! Thank you for your channel!❤️😀🇺🇸🌏🚙
U.S. Gypsum ceased operations in Midland, California, in 1966. Following the closure of the gypsum plant, the company intentionally burned down the town, which had been established in 1925 to process gypsum extracted from nearby mines. At its peak, Midland was home to approximately 1,000 residents.
did you notice that the fenced area has a sketch of a man , like small childs when they draw papa sketch for the first time 😂❤. when you took a view from up above thru drone camera , it showed better .
It looks like that man in the sand has more to it hat is not being protected. I can see that line that goes across his legs is part of a giant circle. What did that mean to the ancients, and why isn't it also being protected? If you look closely, there looks like more designs that were drawn around him. I'm sad that they didn't protect all of it. It is still pretty cool, though!

Enjoy traveling with you🎉
Thank you! 😃
The Midland mine closed in 1966 due to the gypsum in the area becoming too heavy. The town was intentionally burned to the ground.
Hi Russ loved the vlog today ❤️ very interesting and educational ‼️ have a great week‼️👋
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your videos...the drone views and the music!

Beautiful day wonderful sites to see thanks for sharing safe travels🤠
What a great video and adventure you took us on in this video Russ. The Blythe Intaglios thew me for a loop as I spotted them one as I flew over them and thought I was imagining them. Thanks Russ and happy trails.
Thanks for the drone footage Russ. I looked at the intaglios last year and wished I had a drone view, nice job.
I googled the ghost town and it has story to tell. Thank you for the video!

Watching it now👍
Those things never cease to amaze me I'd love to see them in person but you really do have to get an areal shot to see em good
Great video! It’s amazing the places you find!
I am always amazed at what I find in the desert!
Hey Russ. At 45:29 you mention LTVA camping for up to 6 month but it’s actually 7. Sept 15- April 15.
Beautiful desert scenery… thanks for
Very interesting trip.
There is a large kokopeli just west of Blythe airport on road to solar panels about 1/2 mile north of I10 on left side of road
The intaglios are nice but the chainlink fence they used is truly impressive
THANK YOU
Russ,do you live in your little RV at quartzite or do you have a home there?
My love for the river started in the mid 60s about 20 miles north of Blythe at a place called Road Runner. Cousins and family.
Nice visit to Blythe. Looking forward to your Palm Springs episode…….maybe you could show a few affordable RV parks to winter at.
🕊Beautiful day🛣
That may be my final reason to move to AZ! No daylight savings time!!!
very nice
Thanks MrRuss😎
Your videos how you took it is very nice, I’m watching your videos from India.
Stay SAFE RUSS
One of the Blythe prisons has closed and the other is scheduled to close in a couple of years. It's having a heavy impact on their economy.
I wonder how they keep vandals from damaging the intaglios? Thanks for sharing!
No idea

Maybe Tennessee Earnie Ford ,did the song here .16 tons..

What kind of drone do you use?
My wife and I use to drive this road from a salt mine in Milligan other side of metropolitan water district to buy groceries back in the 80s
I like to say AZ doesn't change their clocks but, they change time zones.
There are other smaller ones nearby.
I lost a cat here, I'll never forget Bob 😢 🎉
I wonder, did Midland die because the mines shut down ?
GOD BLESS , UNITED STATES AMERICA , RUSS , RVERTV FANS. GREETINGS FROM CANADA / COLD ; RAIN. WE LOVE RVERTV - BEST TV ON RUclips. CAN RUSS VISIT CANADA IN 2025. HAPPY TRAILS - U.S.A. - RUSS - RVERTV FANS. Thank you Russ.🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠
Leave it to Midland to have a museum in a location that looks like a scene from Breaking Bad 😂
Nice giant ancient emojis.
Will 95 still take you into Reno? Or did they divert part of it.
That wind is a problem sometimes
Ist
Looks like rattlesnake City
Why does it look like the is one is in a coffin?
18:18 The “coffin” shape is the installed fencing that protects the geoglyphs.
22:42 Great drone camera work by Russ illustrates the fencing around the anthropological (human-like) geoglyphs.
The ancient civilizations put their villages by bodies of water to sustain their survival
Midland reminds me of the movie “The Hills have eyes.”
