I've been to Henderson....it was about 10yrs ago. We stopped at The Ethel M. Chocolate factory. We took a tour..watched chocolates being made. Tried a free sample. After taking the tour and buying chocolates. We decided to take a walk in the Garden outside of the factory..it was beautiful.🌼🌵🌺🌵

Havasu is nice, I was a couple times @ the run to the sun hot rod show. Last time I was there with a camper van, the rv park was almost expensive as the island hotel, so ... ha ha. Greets, Matt

Whew! I feel hot just THINKING about how hot it must've been. I never knew what London Bridge looked like or where in AZ it was located until I watched your video. I associate Lake Havasu with the 2010 movie, Pirhana 3D, the one with Elisabeth Shue, where she had to rescue all of the people who were being devoured by genetically re-engineered monster fish. I'm not sure I want to swim in that lake after seeing that movie :) Anyhow, great video. Thank you for the tour of that area. Those are all places I've never been to.

Hey Russ, I see London Bridge hasn't fallen down! Great to see that Lake again. Same temps over here in Phoenix, heat just won't go away. Since you are getting supplies to service Dusty Nugget and it's sat for a while go and buy a can of Sea Foam and add it to the gas tank. That stuff just works. I lived next to site 6 abt 25 years ago. There were coyotes on the island from time to time. We encountered them once while on the walking trail next to the old airstrip.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Arizona was 128 degrees in Lake Havasu. Google did not show the date but I'm sure it was either late June or early July! Also the hottest day ever in Phoenix was 122 degrees back in 1990 on June 26th.

I was in Havasu last May and noticed there were no British flags flying over the London Bridge. I see here there are still no British flags. What’s up with that?
Isn't that the truth about so many traffic signals in lake Havasu, seems like you're never going to get to the other end. It would be nice if they were coordinated the traffic signals so you could get all the way through town on the main road.
There's a story that does the round, about the London Bridge in Arizona. There was this very rich businessman who assumed his money could buy anything he wanted. He cast his eye on the London Bridge in Great Britain. Unfortunately for him, he had this image in his mind of the Tower Bridge in London. So to cut a fairly involved story short, the Brits sold him the London Bridge and he signed the contract to have it removed to the US of A. Too late for him ! It wasn't the Tower Bridge he got. Lesson. Learn about British bridges before you buy one.

I spent a lot of years living in Havasu - it’s a pretty ugly dry place - certainly an acquired taste. I’ve been all over it but Parker is more scenic. BTW it’s not comfortable to sit by the water when it’s a 100+ degrees. I tried to stay away from the water because the localized humidity from the lake evap made it miserable. The long drought has made the summers even more harsh as the daily summer monsoons could bring the temps down over 30 degrees.

While living in San Diego back in 80s and 90s, used to frequent Lake Havasu / Parker and camp and boating, Havasu is HUGE

It definitely has changed in 52 years. Just a few buildings when my family moved to Parker Dam.
Site 6 was the Army Airfield that was located about where you launched the drone. I went there with my family in the 1960's.

Russ, when you get to Henderson Sprinter service please inquire if they service Mercedes Sprinter Class C RVs as well as the usual vans.

The homes there were expensive until 08, then they dropped to 1/3 value, now they are back up.
