WAAAAAAAAAA I FORGOR THE TRAIT AGAIN NOO The TLDR with the trait is, in a practical situation, it should be a DPS gain in most cases (we all know that 20% Samir trait all the time is unreasonable), even in the Umi Claudia Lin comp, as in that comp, most of the damage is during the burst window anyway (even though with said comp, you will have some downtime on the trait due to the slower charging speed).

Thanks for updating the spreadsheet to include Umi. I ran the calcs with the units/matrices I own, and for my secondary budget Phys team 3* Shiro is roughly on par with 0* Umi assuming you can shatter at least once. Basically F2P Phys Shiro still viable and hasn't been powercrept hard yet.
@Maygi I thought the optimal dmg for lyra would be doing aerial atk punches instead of ground punches because they had better multiplers. Unless I’m understanding wrong in reading the weapon text. Also would it be better to invest in claudia 3 star matrices rather than umi matrices if I decide to just continue running an claudia lyra lin comp?
Aerial punches do have higher DPS, but you can't use them infinitely unless for some reason you have 2pc Claudia on Lyra - the attack string ends with one big and slow punch, which you can cancel with a jump, but without 2pc Claudia, you'll only be able to do a couple of those attacks before you have to start dodge cancelling or just wait for the animation to happen, both of which are DPS losses~ Claudia matrices would definitely benefit the current comp, but whether it's a smart investment, may be questionable - Gunonno will be releasing soon in CN, so if you're interested to wait and see how she works out, that may be smart..

I think I’ll jump the gun and invest in claudia matrices because of their flexibility on different comps and also I can see them continuing to be useful down the road as well. I intend to run them on my Claudia, while I continue to run my 0star 4piece shiro set or 1star 2pc shiro/samir on lyra. As always great info, and I look forward to your analysis each video (even if I don’t play any other element really haha).
Is the calculator bugged? it shows Samir A6 with her 4p doing more damage than A1 Tian and A6 Crow both of them with 2+2 Samir Crow. All teams on A6 Lin.
This makes sense... especially if you put in a 3* 4p Samir matrix, the gain from it is relatively huge especially with Lin, as Lin's field procs Samir A1 on a separate ICD

I pulled for A6 Umi. I found myself doing more damage with A6 Umi/Lyra/Lin over A6 Lyra/Claudia/Lin. Only reason I can tell is how some mobs would get insta deleted where as before I would have to do a full rotation with Claudia>Lin>Lyra punches before they died.

Couant + Shield is the most personal DPS over time, and Rift + Shield for more overall team DPS. Without A6, I don't think hologram is as worth it as Couant..

Lin matrices don't work completely off-field like Umi, and requires some uptime for stacking, which is why I do an auto attack + dodge on Lin. However, if put on Lyra, it's a bit more efficient because you have to spend a decent amount of field time punching on her anyway, and it's not as much of "wasted time" as Lin is!

Umi Lyra should perform much better than Shiro Lin! And don't worry, Lyra matrices won't go to waste for a while because they're super powerful on-field matrices that don't have any contest currently ~

Umi Trait works fine because even though the uptime is scuffed, it'll be up during the burst which is what matters - and it's more consistent than Samir, but you could always run Samir if you are a gamer god~ Shiro matrix is an F2P-friendly "off-hand/buffing" matrix that you can slot on one of the support weapons if you don't have anything better, Samir matrix will pretty much always be on Umi unless you have Lyra 4pc

Lin matrix on Lyra, Umi matrix on Lin. Umi works completely from the background, and Lin matrix requires some on-field stacking, so it's better to put it on a weapon that you switch to more frequently~
If i havent seen umi cn, i probably pull for umi in global....the global 'balancing' is just sad - swapped A1 and A5 - reduced charge rate by more than 60% - all numbers got slashed to the ground
Umi is a lot more consistent than Samir, and only has real downtime in the Claudia Lin comp, but in that comp, all the damage revolves around the burst window anyway, so it still works out ~

You forgot there is 1 more physical simulacra.... it's Shiro. Can this used as alternative if you have no Claudia and Lyra, because both are banners. Especially as F2P you miss easy them if not invested much. Should inside your analysis to give better idea for F2P players. Because she is base in game, get A6 is easy so its one of best models for F2P.
That's a good point! I totally should have mentioned more about her... especially considering I've been using Shiro all the way from the launch -> right now, haha... sometimes I focus too much on the meta combinations that people are most interested in. I'll be sure to include some considerations for them in future builds! (perhaps F2P build section could consider A6 standard characters)
Im sad? Why is Umi not the main dps in triple phys? If you have a6 umi, a6 lyra, a3claudia... should you really just wait for only one card sweep, then switch off magic show just for more punching with lyra? Is this really optimal? Kinda makes her a6 bad imo since it requires her to be onfield lol. AT LEAST do 2 card sweeps then switch :(? ik her a3 gives more buffs if you end earlier but sheesh... we didnt go full a6 whip girl just to swap her out. It's because in a triple phys comp, you have room for Claudia matrix, which buffs Lyra's DPS by a considerable amount. If you put your main DPS matrices on Umi, sure, she'll deal higher DMG than Lyra during the Magic Show, but then the downtime will be a lot worse. Umi swapping out gives a very potent DOT (that deals ~1.5x the damage of a Lin field) while granting a damage buff, so you can see where the DMG comes from... As a triple phys player, don't get me wrong, I'd love to DPS on Umi over Lyra, but I ended up going for A3 + matrices and am sticking with Lyra for now ~ I already got Claudia matrices anyway... it's also comfier with sustain so there's that

Still Tower of Frost... let's hope Fenrir can change that. Volt is in a bad place with Tian killing himself and still worst than Frost teams dps wise - all risk, no reward.
He mentioned on stream that her strongest team is Umi/Claudia/Lin but you'll have more downtime on her skill without Lyra. If you just want the most damage you don't need Lyra.
always love seeing your breakdowns. there just one thing i wanna ask. flame is the strongest dps in f2p teams right now? i thought frost dominates it too. im seeing people doing tons of dps using A6 tsubasa, A1 saki, A3 Alyss. what comp is the f2p flame? i assume the Lin is only A3.
So bassicaly phys team kinda in a veeeery bad spot from f2p perspective (a1-a3 without matrices), without debuff they are not even close to others, but debuff works for all in multiplay so you even more behind. Also phys has no synergies compared to frost/flame and no raw numbers compared to electro, imagine what will happen after fenrir/lan release...F for phys i suppose cause if new cn phys unit not completely powerhouse i don't have any idea what should happen to fix this issue.. Wish to know how devs so fucked up with balancing. Started regret now that became phys main...
i maxed Umi and i must say she is 100% trash! i main phy with 29.5k phy. I dont know how your numbers look so good might be skill issue but for now i would not recommend anyone maxing her out like i did.

@@Achelouz I have all matrix’s and everyone A6 and what I can say is that I would recommend just using the only Lyra Lin claud team. It flows better than any team with umi on it. It just feels like umi wasn’t made for old phy characters . Maybe she was made for future characters is my guess.

If i havent seen umi cn, i probably pull for umi in global....the global 'balancing' is just sad

umi vs samir trait, what is your take?
Umi is a lot more consistent than Samir, and only has real downtime in the Claudia Lin comp, but in that comp, all the damage revolves around the burst window anyway, so it still works out ~

Im actually planned long time a go using Umi/Lin/Claudia team so i skiped Lyra. Hope i can get at least her A5 this time and next re run i will get her A6 and Umi matrices.

You forgot there is 1 more physical simulacra.... it's Shiro. Can this used as alternative if you have no Claudia and Lyra, because both are banners. Especially as F2P you miss easy them if not invested much. Should inside your analysis to give better idea for F2P players. Because she is base in game, get A6 is easy so its one of best models for F2P.
That's a good point! I totally should have mentioned more about her... especially considering I've been using Shiro all the way from the launch -> right now, haha... sometimes I focus too much on the meta combinations that people are most interested in. I'll be sure to include some considerations for them in future builds! (perhaps F2P build section could consider A6 standard characters)

Im sad? Why is Umi not the main dps in triple phys? If you have a6 umi, a6 lyra, a3claudia... should you really just wait for only one card sweep, then switch off magic show just for more punching with lyra? Is this really optimal? Kinda makes her a6 bad imo since it requires her to be onfield lol. AT LEAST do 2 card sweeps then switch :(? ik her a3 gives more buffs if you end earlier but sheesh... we didnt go full a6 whip girl just to swap her out.

It's because in a triple phys comp, you have room for Claudia matrix, which buffs Lyra's DPS by a considerable amount. If you put your main DPS matrices on Umi, sure, she'll deal higher DMG than Lyra during the Magic Show, but then the downtime will be a lot worse. Umi swapping out gives a very potent DOT (that deals ~1.5x the damage of a Lin field) while granting a damage buff, so you can see where the DMG comes from...
As a triple phys player, don't get me wrong, I'd love to DPS on Umi over Lyra, but I ended up going for A3 + matrices and am sticking with Lyra for now ~ I already got Claudia matrices anyway... it's also comfier with sustain so there's that
@Maygi Ah so it's only when Claudia matrices. I have a6 umi 4piece, a6lyra 4piece and a3 Claudia with shiro.. I saved everything and skipped all since beginning to max lyra umi :( . Was wanting umi to popoff magic show !!

He mentioned on stream that her strongest team is Umi/Claudia/Lin but you'll have more downtime on her skill without Lyra. If you just want the most damage you don't need Lyra.
You need to be really good at doing rotation with Lin Umi Claudia, but it is the strongest lineup of phys as of the moment.
always love seeing your breakdowns. there just one thing i wanna ask. flame is the strongest dps in f2p teams right now? i thought frost dominates it too. im seeing people doing tons of dps using A6 tsubasa, A1 saki, A3 Alyss.
what comp is the f2p flame? i assume the Lin is only A3.

Claudia + Annabella + Lin. In F2P teams, everything is only A1!

So bassicaly phys team kinda in a veeeery bad spot from f2p perspective (a1-a3 without matrices), without debuff they are not even close to others, but debuff works for all in multiplay so you even more behind. Also phys has no synergies compared to frost/flame and no raw numbers compared to electro, imagine what will happen after fenrir/lan release...F for phys i suppose cause if new cn phys unit not completely powerhouse i don't have any idea what should happen to fix this issue..

i maxed Umi and i must say she is 100% trash! i main phy with 29.5k phy. I dont know how your numbers look so good might be skill issue but for now i would not recommend anyone maxing her out like i did.
Hi care to elaborate more? Do you have only 6* Umi or 6*Umi + 4pc 3* matrix? How did you test your character and come to the conclusion that Umi is trash? It will help everyone who is trying to max her out, thanks.
hello please elaborate more, i have 28k atk phys with all unlimited characters and matrices FULL, i wanna know if this is worth it because i really don't like the character personally.

@@Achelouz I have all matrix’s and everyone A6 and what I can say is that I would recommend just using the only Lyra Lin claud team. It flows better than any team with umi on it. It just feels like umi wasn’t made for old phy characters . Maybe she was made for future characters is my guess.
@@WolfyRedz after pulling for umi and testing my self i can say you will gain 20% dmg with umi claudia lin easily, BUT you will lose sustanaibility and let me tell you, umi rotation its way harder than it looks, and lyra matrices would help a lot on this comp because of the blocks, another thing, claudia matrices becomes useless for now.
