Nice video! Just put the Z pro in my son's CRF450 on Saturday, he is a left hand amputee, but the clutch is the best dam thing ever!!! Thanks again to the racer support team! Thanks again!! O by the way first day with the new bike and clutch, lap times better than best day last year!!!!!
Hi. There is a significant difference between all three of our auto-clutches. The z-Start Pro is currently the oldest technology that we still produce. It will create the most foreign clutch feel out of all of auto-clutches but it is bulletproof. If you're looking for an auto-clutch that doesn't feel any different than stock, you would want the Core EXP, which will replace all of your OEM components except the frictions and outer basket. If you simply want the most affordable, bolt on auto-clutch you will want to check out our standard EXP. The Standard EXP will work with all of your OEM components but the way we have you set it up will give you the anti-stall feature. The standard EXP will have a heavier lever pull than the Core EXP.
How do you get the gap? I have a 05 ktm 450 RMS-833 and between the pressure plate and top friction disk I have ZERO gap when installed at y’all’s recommended torq
@@ol998 The easiest way to support you in finding the gap would be to connect with our customer service team. By phone generally works well to walk through the steps. You can reach us at 208-426-0659
With all of our auto clutches, including the z-start pro, you have the ability for full manual override and disengagement of the clutch at all times. It allows for full moto starts or you can takeoff without using the clutch lever at all.
Exactly, you still need to manually shift the transmission. With the auto-clutch, you no longer need to pull the lever in to disengage the clutch, this now happens automatically based on RPM. If you want to though, you may completely override the auto clutch and use the clutch lever in every way just like a full manual system.
Hello, any our our Rekluse clutches will fit within the OEM basket. Now, if the basket is worn out, we highly recommend that you replace it because the basket tangs will likely break.
If the bike shop mechanics looked this good i would actually use them
@NEWF2195 There is a clutch available for that ATV however with all the added horsepower you will definitely need a specialized set up to get the proper clamping force. This will require the purchase of additional tungsten carbide ball kits.
I really like how they point out that you can hold the rear brake to hold the clutch
@ThePacovalencia Hello, we currently do not go back to 2003 with any of our Clutch models for that bike at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience but we hope to be able to cover many more makes/models in years to come as we continue to grow to unprecedented levels. Have a good one.
Are you guys gonn apost a video to install the Z Start? Or have a guide to download for the Z Start? I can't find anything on the Z Start... And thats what I have! I bought it used..
i just bought a 2010 yzf250 the other day with a z pro clutch in it and it slips in 5 gear more then half throttle and it also pulls almost feels like a sticking throttle when you let the gas off
Do I need to buy a new clutch basket after purchasing a Rekluse? Because I will just run stock if not. Will the clutch basket ruin the entire Rekluse if it goes bad?
Hello,
unfortunately we do not have an application for the Honda Shadow.
@highway2snell Was the transmission in top gear?
Alright, thankyou. One last question, I looked at the Rekluse.com website for research, but do the Rekluse clutch cover not come with YFZ models earlier than 2010? I have an 05 YFZ SE.
can you bump start your bike with this clutch? It would be super helpful if this was possible.
Does the Z pro allow only manual clutch engage or both manual engage and manual disengage i.e. can you do crash/hill/tow starts with it?
I read that you have for KTM exc 450 2004. Do you have for 2003?
Unfortunately you can not bump start with this clutch, easily. It is possible to make some adjustments if you you absolutely need to but it is only as a last ditch effort to get you out of a situation and back to the rig.
Hi, we do actually have a clutch cover for your ATV. You will need part number RMS-373
She was awesome. Nice work.
Raven! Make more videos!

Do you have auto clutch for KLX150?
will this clutch work for me i have a kfx 450 with all the mods +Nitrous? when i'm on the Nitrous i can not power shift, i have to pull the clutch in. i have 11,750 RPMs to play with would that be a problem for this clutch?
What would be the best one for a woods racer rm65.
Can you please answer my question it would mean a lot to me are you guys at recluse clutch trying to make clutches available for more bike in each brand you guys at recluse because I'm planing to get a CRF150R and I went to your website to find a clutch for it but their was none available for the CRF150R that I'm planing to get I would honestly really love it if you guys at recluse can respond to my comment it would really be helpful if you did I want to be a future customer with you guy but It would really be helpful if you guys respond thank you
Zaine, we do actually make a z-Start Pro for your CRF150R. You will need part number RMS-810. It is not currently on the website and we apologize for that. Give us a call at 866-735-5873 to order or you can work with your local Rekluse dealer.
Thank you so much you do not know how happy I am right now I am very pleased with you guys I am now wanting to be a recluse customer you guys made my day today but as of right now I don't even have a bike cuz I'm broke I'm looking forward to either get a CRF 150 R for a YZ 250 but thank you very much for your help keep up the good work
Have a quick question do you type that part number in on your website or do you just go to google and type that part number thank you for taking your time out today to help me out I really appreciate it
Hey Zaine, we just added it to our webstore. Check out the link rekluse.mybigcommerce.com/honda-crf150r-z-start-pro-auto-clutch-07-09-13-14/
@ThePacovalencia For whatever reason our R&D department has found something to be different enough for the 2004 kit not to work within that 2003 motor. Your best bet would be to call our tech service line at 866-REKLUSE and speak with somebody about it.
Is a z Starter PRO clutch adjustable? Or do you just throw them away and reach for your wallet when one does not perform as expected?
What is the difference between the models ??
@CoreyDeMerchant Hello Corey, I just emailed you but I need to know what model of bike you are working on. If it is on a cable actuated model, there is a cable adjustment that you need to ensure is adjusted correctly. Let me know what model of bike you have. Thanks, talk to you soon.
I'm installing one in my 2002 cr 250 I'm unsure weather I'm supposed to use the rekluse washer provided in kit for the throw out bearing so do I use it for my year or dicard it?
Hey I'm having a problem with my rekluse I installed it last night in my 2009 crf 450r. I started the bike and let it idol. Brought the rpms up, shut the bike off after a couple minutes, put it in second gear rocked it back and forth. Put the bike in neutral started the bike again pulled the clutch in and put the bike in gear the bike stalled. I repeated these steps a handful of times and the bike stalls every time. The next day I took the rekluse clutch out and reinstalled it, the bike continued to stall after putting it in gear. Also when it's in gear and you pull the clutch lever in neutral doesn't ingauge. Do you have any suggestions?
Please call our techline at 866-735-5873 or email customerservice@rekluse.com
Thank you
You have to set up tension from your leaver man hop this works...its probably stalling because there isn't enough slack on the clutch cable....hope this helps
can you still bump start a bike with the recluse clutch?
Unfortunately you lose the ability to bump start your bike, but you shouldn't stall it in the first place :)
So I can change up gears same as a normal bike but just not use the clutch :)
I have a question, I am reinstalling my Z-Start Pro in my 2008 450SX, when I started it up it spins the rear wheel in gear, hard enough so that it kills the bike when I put it in gear...the manual doesn't address how to adjust when it engages too hard like this...how do I back this off so it doesn't kill the bike when I put it in gear?
@GoonSquadRMZ450 We have discontinued the original z-Start clutch sometime ago and we no longer manufacture components for that clutch system. We can get documents to you if you email customerservice@rekluse.com and explain that you are seeking documents for a z-start clutch. Reference your specific make/model/year and we'll be glad to take care of you.
great video love watching girls work on bikes especially cute girls :D
Hot tat'd chick works on bike? I see a whole series here! I wanna see her do a top end and teasingly explain "bore and stroke", bikini clad, heels, while slathered in BelRay. The birth of Moto-XXX!
A chick that dosnt look like a dude that can work on bike hallelujah there is a god!!!
can i use this for my SUZUKI RM 250 2001 model.?thanks
yeah... do not put a hammer in your spokes... cos it cost me a new one...
@highway2snell - Yea, especially considering she already has the rear brake applied because of the screwdriver. I do have a much better place to stick my hammer anyway! LOL
Looks like rekluse has abandoned this site and all support of these older models devices they charged money for. I inherited a start pro(?) and having issues with it. I'd like to just see a manual on this device but their site is useless along with the contact points on their site.

Have the gal dress in a bikini next time? Maybe even topless? Teenagers will buy more from you, not matter what you are selling.
Hi there, we will gladly help you with your z-Start Pro clutch. While we are not actively promoting this product on our website, we can provide spare parts and other support. Please email tech@rekluse.com or call us at 208-426-0659.
@RekluseMotorSports nope i learnt that lesson...
Yalls instructions make zero sense. When you’re trying to get that gap how do you keep that gap when you put the torq screws in?
go to wash dishes.... :-)
