    Not just the trains; from the station layout down to the train announcer, everything’s exactly the same as you’d find in China. Behind the wholesale solutions it’s the real reason that cut Chinese HSR cost down: mass standardization.

China interest rate for the loan though is higher but the base cost is like 2x cheaper and faster as well. Thats why if ypu calculate it the one from china is way better investment.

      @@sixtogonzaga655 China can build fast because they sent their skilled workers from China to Loas during the initial stage
      Only gradually increase number of Laos workers when they were trained
      China can do this as they have sufficient manpower but Japan cannot as they dont have enough manpower as they have an ageing population

    I looked at the comments and didn't mention the key points. Laos is a landlocked country, which needs good transportation to transport materials out or back. Therefore, this railway is the lifeblood for Laos to go global in the future. Very important. Moreover, this railway connects China's big consumption and output countries. It is very helpful for Laos to go out and get the affordable products they want. After the epidemic is over, you can see that tourism is definitely the first full industry, which has driven the development of a series of industries...

    Your seats weren't backwards! You can actually turn them around using the foot pedal by the side. In China this is usually done by attendants when the train switches direction.

    • @fdc4810
      @fdc4810 2 года назад +12

      You can't do that in CR200 series I think. The CR200 uses the old rolling stock from the 160km/h T-25. which has a cabin width of 3.1 meters. The normal CRH380A/B/C/D and CR400 high speed trains have cabin width up to 3.4 meters, wide enough to allow seat rotation in economy.

    Everytime we visited countries that has a HST we are so eager to try it and imagine when our country will have one because it so prestige, luxury and advance. Actually plane is much more advanced but every countries have it so it's not prestige anymore.
    Loas is so lucky and nice train station. Just look at Malaysia planning for a decade with Singapore, and Malaysia cancaled it at the end cause of their government policy, OMG.
    HST is more complex to build & cost a lot of cash and political in one country determine it a lot (good or corrupt one).
    Indonesia will have one soon, also build by China, lucky for us have a good president.
    Europe & Japan have it long time ago but dont have a good will to help other countries to build one, they just want it to be exclusive for themself, hahahaaa.

    What you don't say is that northern Laos is invaded by Han settlers who take the place of the natives and that the Chinese dictatorship only employs Chinese who consider the natives too lazy. In some places all storefronts are only written in Mandarin as in some places in Cambodia. It's an invasion.
