An F7F. Got friends is working on an F4F. But what I really want is an F8F Bearcat. Particularly with a racing variant. I want Rare Bear darn it! Sorely missing from the air racing add on.
8:30 For the record, you are not the only person to have taken off with folded wings. It really depends on how much wing is not folded, and how fast the plane can go. Generally and interesting time is had by everyone involved...
I cant believe they have the audacity to charge $24 for that. It seems like more of an $8.99 bargain-bin type of a purchase. I mean honestly, aside from a clickable cockpit, the TigerCat in IL-2 Pacific Fighters looked better and you could use the weapons even! lol Just my opinion though, and you know what they say about those. Thanks for reviewing it lovely lady! You are my favorite reviewer btw!
Haha just what I was thinking. Doesn't look any better than the IL-2 Tigercat and sounds worse. Boom and zooming Zeros in the F7F was a laugh, back in the day.
Dear Angel, I'm amazed by the shadows inside your cockpit! I'm used to those blurry shadows of MSFS 2020 and those moving sawteeth profiles of shadows on the floor or the panels and in the outside, those low-quality blurry shadows in external small details even in "ultra" settings, that some times seem even not exist. How do you get those well-defined cockpit shadows? Some special config? Is that a matter of video-card or processor??
@@AngelofCruelty I’ve been thinking about what you said since yesterday. Try as I might, I just can’t fit the Tomcat into the classic WWII lines in my mind. It seems to fit more easily, to me, in the McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed camp, as a predecessor to likes of the F-15 Eagle, the F-22 Raptor or the F-35 Lightning, rather than a successor to the Grumman line.
There is a way to take soudns from other aircraft you own, and put them into any aircraft you also own. It is very easy to do. It's not perfect, but it works very well and has saved the Aeroplane Heaven p51 for me.
I think a Virtavia is a one-man operation, at least it used to be for a while. You can tell me what you want, but one guy doing everything is very impressive in my books...
Great review, I also dont seem to have a "right click" in the cockpit and I think thats needed to turn back on my fuel. Doh! Is there a fix for this? I guess its a known bug.
The problem with Virtavia is that everything about it is just ok, except the price which is too high. So they are in a no-man's land of being over-priced for what they offer. There was a time in the FSX days where they occupied a sweet-spot of great price for their ok quality. Now they are just plain bad value for money.
I really wanted to like this one. I love vintage Military aircraft and went straight to the purchase page but waited till I saw your review. And after the review,... not at that price. The price isn't high, it's just the plane isn't worth it.

Holy moly!!! Those islands look identical to a map I play on a different game on the old Xbox. Once again, it's a great video.
Almost as if the Midway Islands are a real place that made it into WW2 games as level of sorts because of their history, right?

The more I fly the F7F-3 the more I love it

Was also my first thought!

AvAngel making important decisions like not unfolding the wings before flight. 🤣🤣🤣
For science you see

Likely my gpu, rtx3070ti, no special settings beyond ultra
Great review AvAngel, I’d love for you to look at the Vought F8 Crusader that’s in the marketplace but you do you boo.
I think I already did?
The right click thing....for some reason you have to middle mouse click then left click instead. No idea why they coded it that way.
Made a mistake above, middle mouse click then right click. oops.
This looks like the successor, and the Navy’s answer, to the P-38. You can also see the Wildcat and Hellcat in it’s lines.
Yup, all the Grumman 'cats' resembled one another in some way shape or form. A legendary legacy that sadly ended with the Tomcat.

I was like... hmm. 🤔 that don't look like Midway. Ooooh you are on Wake Island, that's why.
about 2600 hp per engine on the f7f-3
Is there a Northrop P-61 coming out still?
Belive so yes!

El Bado Plano.... Thanks for the heads up on this but I think I'll stick with the P-38
Nice...hope they fix it!
Is this coming to Xbox as well?
I doubt it. Virtavia hasn't put any of their other planes on Xbox, so this likely won't come either.
@@thelongestpage7555 Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured. 😟
@@rolexdpracer the struggles of being an Xbox flight simmer 😔
@@thelongestpage7555 Indeed.
I don't think anything can fix some of the modelling issues around the engines -_- pity, I like the aircraft.
Don't flare carrier aircraft anyway :)

There are other developers doing it solo too
Isn't Black Square a one man band as well? Let's compare this to their Duke when it comes out. :p

Right mouse button is buggared for me too

I like the Tigercat, but this version does see a bit bland
AvAngel is so kind... looks like poo. sounds like poo. flies like poo haha
I think it's a no from me. Sadly.
