Stunning trout. When using treble hooks, I will bend one of the barb points so it's resting against the hook shank. That way you can avoid those triple hooked jaw locking hook sets. Makes it much easier to release the fish and it doesn't affect the weight or action of the lure. Give it a try.
When using spinners, I snap off the treble hooks with a metal plier und then replace it with a snap ring and a single hook. Because the trouts mouth is so fleshy and soft and I dont wanna rip out any tissue. Great Video!
Hi from Scotland. Beautiful wild brown trout. My favourite fish, ever. Get yourself a wooden handled rubber mesh landing net for that kind of fishing. Your treble hooks won’t get caught in it. Around £20. It’ll be worth it. Keep up the great work. 🏴🎣

Personally I've re-hooked a lot of my small spinners (Mepps Aglia sizes 0, 1 and similar) with Matzuo Sickle siwash hooks in sizes 8 and 10. Hasn't adversely affected hook-up rates with Chub and Perch on small streams, but has greatly eased unhooking.
