Is this One of the most Beautiful Hikes in Wales?

  • The Llŷn Peninsula Coastal path runs from Caernarfon in the north to Porthmadog in the south and is approximately 97 miles long (this depends on which route you follow). We chose to start in the south and headed north up the coastline. We had originally planned on doing this hike without Toby and were hoping to complete it in 5 days, however, we made a last minute decision to take him with us and walk at his pace, ensuring he had plenty of rest along the way.
The Llŷn (or Snowdon's Arm) itself is a place of outstanding natural beauty and the peninsula juts 30 miles into the Irish Sea off north-west Wales. Along the way, you'll enjoy cliffs and headlands, hidden coves and beaches, small fishing harbours and towns, tiny pilgrim's churches, and some of the most beautiful scenery you could ever see. You may even get to see porpoise, bottle nosed dolphins or Atlantic grey seals; we only got to see the latter, and many of them, which was a beautiful sight.
The Llŷn really is a magical place.
We hoped you've enjoyed joining us on our adventure,
    Ryan, Marianne & Toby.
