    Guys, a lot of spanish speakers have said that the spelling of the letters isn’t correct. In the video I don’t claim to be spelling the letters, but rather writing down how they SOUND to an English speaker. I’m a high school Spanish teacher, I know how to spell the letters, but that doesn’t help us with pronunciation. Just wanted to clarify for people who might not have paid attention 😂

    other video's say that the C in spanish has a TH sound. Can someone clear this up?

    • @sr.clarkspanish8096
      @sr.clarkspanish8096  2 года назад +1

      Depends on where you’re from. In most regions of Spain, the “c” and “z” do make that “th” sound on some occasions. With the “c”, it’s before a soft vowel and with a “z” it’s all the time. Example: In Spain, ‘cerebro’ would be pronounced “the-re-bro” whereas “cobrar” takes on the hard “k” sound. “Zapato” would be “tha-pa-to” in Spain and “Hernandez” would end with the “th” sound. In Latin America, they do not have this phenomenon.
