Thank you, Michael! I'm happy you liked it! The metallic finish was the particular challenge of this build as well! I'm still waiting on your DDR MiG :D

Great build and finish. I’ve got this one in my stash, so hope to build it this year. How did you find the decals? I’ve not built any Eduard kits with the ‘new’ decals and I’ve read mixed reviews about them.

      Thank you so much!
These decals were flawless: thin, very transparent carrier film, thin and souple.

Plz help... i really wanna love this kit and im getting my second uti in a few moments....am i the only one who thinks these kits have MAaaaJor flaw in the front fuselage/nose part ,,as the cockpit just wont let the nose close up....ive read all good reviews and not one has referred to this problem

Hi, there! Yes, I had a fit issue with the intake ring. In my example it didn't centered properly and protruded more to the right. The cockpit fit it is indeed tight, but not that much not to let you close up the front end; I had a join line on the radio compartment cover which needed particular attention. I have to say that if any error in this build, it belongs to me rather than to Eduard. I'm not sure about the uti version - I never built the two seater. Good luck with your build - isn't all that scary after all!

Thnx for the reply ....i had built the single seater a few years back and remember having the same problem...so i said no more eduard....finally getting back to it i still have the same problem....front of cockpit seam line wont close up...its like the cockpit is to wide for the fuselage...

I understand where the problem is - but I didn't have a big drama there - just the normal hassle with the alignment of the halves. You might want to have a look here - those are all the stills with WIP: photos.app.goo.gl/zOFl1wpekjviXsFE3

Did you use the paints in the assembly instructions?

    • @PanzergrauModels

Not really. I used life references from the Military Museum in Bucharest.
