The poet Jane Hirshfield described concentration as, a particular state of awareness: penetrating, unified, and focused, yet also permeable and open.... instantly recognizable. So right now, name at least one action, topic, or person that you promise to give your whole concentration to today. You will know the moment when it arrives. Let the doors of perception open by giving your attention wholeheartedly. Enter that state of enlarging, and watch time slow and extend.
