I predicted that 2023 will be like 1987 was for Graf for Carlos Alcaraz when she ended Navratilova Evert era and established her era. I'm also predicted that Carlos Alcaraz will win the golden slam in 2024, like Graf did in 1988!
Man, i respect your opinion, Mike; Its just we gatta slow down on these predictions though. We wanna be the person to say when we see success for someone thst we were among the 1st to say it- however, you have to account injuries into the equation. And Alcaraz has had some doozies even now at 18, 19 yrs old verge of 20. Can his body withstand the pressures of tennis post BIG3 ERA on all surfaces??!? That remains to be seen. Carlos has to prove to me he can win GS on all surfaces multiple times b4 i can really anoint him anything. He is a special player with lots of tools no doubt.
Mr. McEnroe, i do believe the BIG 3 ERA is officially over. Nadal, even when he returns is a shell of himself. He hasnt even returned to clay court tennis yet and we are at the *HEIGHT OF THE CLAY SEASON!* Just Rome left after Madrid before RG! This is the time of year when Nadal transforms into Superman or Neo from the Matrix. Clay is his domain but i dont think Nadal bounces back from this hip injury and retires probably at RG. This may be Novak's last multi slam yr, but he is fighting advanced age and injuries and he too isnt the same player. This era now belongs to Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, Mr. McEnroe. What do you think?
