At this point it is obvious that Alcaraz is at the level of the BIG 3. We are seeing the generational change of Goats. It reminds me of the Borg-McEnroe, Federer-Sampras, Nadal-Federer, Djokovic-Nadal duels. The next duels in GS Djokovic-Alcaraz will be historic. MUST-SEE!
Novak is nowhere near his prime.. And still going toe to toe with alcaraz who is 16 years younger.. Alcaraz is definitely the best new talent we have got, but I don't know about him being at the same level as big 3..
@@yashtyson88 for his age of 20 Alcaraz definitely is the most complete player over all surfaces yet seen in terms of tennis skills. Federer never got past a slam QF until he won Wimbledon aged a few weeks off turning 22. Nadal was super strong on clay at this age but didn't win a slam off clay until 22 and at 20 only came to the net at the start and end of a match lol.
@@jonasbertilbellander well it was over 100F on court in dead still conditions. that's pretty hot to be playing tennis in. even more so at the level of intensity that those two guys put out. Alcaraz went all Crampitos with the nerves in more benign conditions at the French Open so I don't think you can hold it against a guy 16 years older to have a little trouble in that sort of temperature playing at the max.... but then again Djokovic was able to come back from heatstroke and a set and a break down - he's just a different beast mentally - built different. And Alcaraz cramped up again at the end of the match here in his hands/arm - that's why he tried to hit that weird double-handed forehand. Djokovic out-lasted the much younger man yet again.

Why was Djokovic allowed to take 2 bathroom breaks in a 3-set match? It's against the rules of tennis. Why the umpire allowed this, Djokovic knows the rules. Can you explain this ? because i don't understand. The rules is 1 break in a 3set match ans 2 breaks in a 5 sets match.
After the first set was his official bathroom break. the second time he was allowed change his clothes - I'm not sure of the rules but may be at the discretion of the umpire due to the conditions - it was over 100 F on court for the first set and part of the second. checked it - there is a provision in ATP rulebook to allow for change of clothes if wet due to conditions - so all kosher -> "Change of Attire break can only be allowed in conjunction with a Toilet Break unless provisions of “equipment out of adjustment” take precedent. In that case, the Chair Umpire has the authority to decide each request on its own merit. • Players will only be allowed to leave the court on a set break to change wet shorts/underwear. " After all it was the longest-ever 3-set ATP final in very oppressive conditions and was an amazing match....
I check tune rules 1 breaks only in a 3 sets match. Amazing match or not, the rules are the same for everybody. Djokovic did this many time, more than all the others players and continue ! It's not fair, the match was amazing because Alcaraz. @@huzcer
@@Perom6696 i've just quoted actual the rule from the actual ATP rulebook there lmao. can you not read? do you think Djokovic would just run off the court without the umpire's permission. you'll have to cope harder my friend! the poor Fedal copers.....
djokovic & alcaraz will meet again 01-20 times in coming yrs, djokovic will shout this guy mouth up eventually! alcaraz will be like swietek, many players can beat him easily like tomy paul, hurkarz, sinner & more! Unlike djokovic, he can enter final easily in any tournament he plays!
Brilliant Djokovic 👏👏👏
Djokovic did not play at the top of his game no way.

This isn't about the Cinci final at all - it's about the Wimbledon final from a month ago.....
Great to see a Mc on RUclips!
Djokovic was not playing at the top of his game! He had a period when he was suffering from heat-stroke. Patrick , at times, says such inane things
Why can't djocko handle heat 🔥? Depressing
this comment was made about the Wimbledon final - where Djokovic was not at his very best either.
@huzcer I didn't realize that- thanks for the correction
