    For those with DLC, I highly recommend Camilla on him. It gives him +2 move and flying to allow him to catch up with your dive units and a passive bonus to health, speed, and resistance to make him even harder to kill

      @lethargicwizard Год назад +15

      Put Tiki on him for survivability, and the ally buffs from Geosphere+. And he can still dance while transformed into a dragon, because it's a special action.

      That’s what happens when you give Camilla that field manipulation of Corrin and the extra movement of Sigurd

      This is a pretty good tip. I didn’t think to use any ring on him as he is only for dancing. But the Camilla movement and buffs. Might help him reach more. Plus Camilla isn’t the best ring for my other units

    Since you asked, I use Seadall as a Dancer with Canter+ and Quality Time+. Without DLC, his best ring is Finn. With just the free Heroes DLC, his best ring is Sharena. With the paid DLC, since you'll have more than enough emblems for everyone, the four emblems he benefits most from are Sigurd, Roy, Camilla, and Tiki. It's also worth considering using Geosphere+ as the second inherited skill. I haven't tried it out myself yet, but he should be able to dance while engaged with Tiki. I'm not sure why, but I just find that idea really funny.

    I think you are best off wearing one of the FEH bond rings on him. Spur attack will make him a bit of a mini-Alear to boost the damage of adjacent units. Fortify defense is nice too.

  • @demonicgwo
    @demonicgwo Год назад +5

    Lucina is very good on him for times you need to turtle and use bonded shield and his attack is high enough to viably use her bow and noble rapier so he can be a good anti-flier or anti-armor/cavalry in a pinch. Not to mention due to quality time he usually has high bond with allies which allows him to survive easier on the front lines thanks to his high dodge as a result of having dual support. This is all without mentioning the easy access to chip damage thanks to dual assist and his high speed so it constantly triggers. Lucina's engage attack is also good for him because his strength doesnt matter that much, he just has to be near alot of allies which is what he was going to do anyway. Its actually insane how much more he is capable of than just dancing which is already busted. If you put lucina on him I would recommend giving him boots as well though so he doesnt fall behind

  • @cyrleaozora4173

    About the bond ring level. Grinding this is the EASIEST on anyone with chain guard. Why? Because everytime you click that option it(even without chain guarding an attack) gives you bond level exp so if you don't mind a high turn count you definitely can grind from 10-20 in a single map granted this means you are putting up your emblem(Sigurd/Corrin) on your dancer but hey you can definitely make it work.

  • @PoootieTang69
    @PoootieTang69 Год назад +8

    I bypass mentorship by just power leveling him on the stage we get him to 25. Normally takes about 150-170 turns overall, but it’s so worth it. Also found that giving him avoid bonus on top of Micaiah is really nice against those end game sword masters/griffin knights so they miss each hit.

    • @darrellmurray4928
      @darrellmurray4928 Год назад +4

      This is solid advice. You want to complete his kit as soon as possible, and get that emblem ring off his finger and onto someone else. Level 25 on his join chapter leaves him with just enough for Canter+ and Quality Time+. He doesn't need much more that that.

    About spending a lot Bond Fragments to get high Bond Level skills. You can mitigate that by having units fight Emblems in the arena for each individual Bond Level, rather than using one battle to jump several levels by choosing the specific level you want to stop at.
    This is because you get 2 different kinds of Achievements for both fighting and defeating Emblems in the Arena a certain number of times. Since each battle counts towards those, you raise them very fast by not skipping Bond Levels. And you keep getting more and more Bond Fragments the higher that number climbs for those two Achievements. Effectively refunding the Bond Fragments you just got through spending in the arena.
    There have been several times where I leveled a unit's bond with an Emblem in the arena for nearly no cost at all, or even gaining a bit of Bond Fragments for my troubles. Higher level bonds will still definitely end up costing you. Stuff higher than Lv. 10. But it'll still be less cost than if you had chosen to jump 5 levels using a single battle.

    • @HAVIC101XXX

      @@IcedCoffeeGaming Very true. It does take more time out of your day in comparison, even when skipping the battle animations. Someone would just have to decide if they want to spare the few extra minutes.
      Although, if we're only talking gameplay, it is pure upside. (Personally I also happen love the battle animations. So I often don't skip the battles anyway.)

    Seadall is currently our first and only canon male dancer, and he is easily the most busted thus far thanks to the Emblem Rings. This Dancer a Qi Adept class, he’s useful for a variety of things that isn’t just Dancing.
    Despite not being the best using of Emblem Corrin, it is the ring he gets. Corrin can provide him Pair Up to keep himself safe from Chain Attacks, Quality Time give him a healing niche and Draconic Hex if you actually want him to fight.
    Even though Goddess Dance better when it’s being used on Byleth rather than Seadall himself, I still recommend letting Seadall use him a little if only for Art Focus (in a situation where he has no choice but to fight). And then Sigurd for the extra movement and Canter (it’s a good thing that Sigurd is the first two Emblem Rings you get back starting in Chapter 17).
    Dancers have always been powerful, but he provides greater utilization and support thanks to the Emblem Rings.

      Just to be sure. You recommend Byleth for Seadall only in certain cases for a few times he would want Art Focus. This is to get him the high enough Bond Level in order to inherit it? Because just equipping Byleth doesn't activate Art Focus. You need to inherit it.
      Just asking to make sure, since a lot of people make the mistake of thinking those skills are active with the Bond Ring. Me too at first with the 'Weapon' Power/Agility skills.

    In three houses I often just didn’t use my dancer to dance many runs, but with Seadall I feel like a dancer is more important in engage… why? I can’t say for sure, but it does seem a tiny bit scary not using him for my next run of all female units

    • @zhoufang996
      @zhoufang996 Год назад +12

      I think it's the emblem mechanic, it benefits from dancers more than 3H did. Dancing lets you build engage meter faster, and it also lets you use an engaged unit multiple times, so it's a much bigger spike to your power than just using a strong unit more than once.
      Also the way dancing is unlocked in 3H kinda forces you to reclass an existing unit into it, and maybe you like that existing unit.

    • @tationotaliaferro8418
      @tationotaliaferro8418 Год назад +1

      In Three Houses, each unit has something unique to bring to the table like a certain spell list, combat arts, and stats. Making a unit into a dancer just for dancing almost throws away the other things they bring to the table. That's why I only like making units who don't stand out much into dancers.

    • @joeyjose727
      @joeyjose727 Год назад +1

      @@tationotaliaferro8418 alternatively I would make units with good growths into dancers, like my Dancer Dimitri lol
      That’s not NOT optimal, but yeah I think the best dancers in Three Houses are the lower tiers where they don’t have as much power behind them. I always played on hard mode though so it didn’t matter, MVP War Master Ashe go brrrrrrr

    • @ProtoTypeFM
      @ProtoTypeFM Год назад

      Canter also plays a big role in why dancing is so good on this game, compared to 3H. But yeah, its mostly the fact that there is a limited amount of emblem rings, and an even more limited amount of really good ones. Squeezing one more action out of one of them each turn is insane. In 3H, Dancer is your best unit again, in Engage its also a healbot who can easily stay out of trouble, and generate free engaged actions, as well as being your best unit for that particular situation, and I think the particular situation changes very often in this game compared to 3H.

    • @elaphar
      @elaphar Год назад +1

      @@tationotaliaferro8418 except for Dorothea... She has Meteor, which is a bad spell in maddening, but pretty good for a dancer (because she always improve gambits and supports) and multiple dodge skills... She also don't have white magic like Warp or Physics that will compete with the dance ability, so is a no brainer for me in all my 3H runs to run her as a dancer and deploy almost all chapters...
      But is true that the dancer in engage is way stronger, not only because the engage mechanic but also because Byleth and Canter, alongside with the free 10 uses of the draconic crystal... This is why is easier to beat engage without resetting a single time, compared with 3H...

    He's the easiest character to grind exp for. His exp gain when dancing seems to depend on the level difference between himself and the target unit, so just have him keep dancing for your strongest unit(s), which he will naturally be doing anyway, but there are so many maps you can just keep leveling him up until you lose patience
