Million Dollar Pound Cake

- How to make a Million Dollar Pound cake.
Here's what you'll need:
1 tsp of white vinegar to
1 cup milk (250ml)
1 cup unsalted butter (227g)
2 cups sugar (400g)
2 tbsp neutral oil (30ml)
4 large eggs
3 cups all purpose flour or cake flour (375g)
2 tsp baking powder (8g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
GLAZE:
1 cup icing sugar
1 and 1/2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1. Grease a 10-cup bundt pan with butter and flour. Preheat oven at 320F/160C.
2. In large bowl, beat 1 cup unsalted butter (227g) and 2 cups sugar until creamy. Add neutral oil and mix until creamy.
3. Mix in eggs one at a time. Mixing after every addition.
4. Sift in gradually, all purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
5. Mix until combined. Add the milk and vinegar mixture.
6. Add the extracts then mix until smooth and well incorporated.
7. Scrape sides and bottom.
8. Place the batter into the prepared pan.
9. Bake on the middle rack for 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
10. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack until the pan is cool enough to touch.
11. Prepare the glaze: Mix all ingredients then drizzle on top of cooled cake.
12. Serve and enjoy!

I made this recipe. The only difference I did was I added walnuts to the mix and caramel drizzle on top before I popped it in the oven. Honestly it turned out amazing. you guys should definitely try it?😊

instead of using the almond extract u can use almond essence that one won't overpower it i tried both there was a lot difference..hope this help😊❤
I made the recipe that did not call for baking powder, salt or baking soda. I was a bit concerned but it turned out great. A lot more ingredients and mixing.

Looks yummy however what is neutral oil and do you bake at 350 degrees I love making Bundt cakes
Hi dear, neutral oil like avocado, grapeseed, sunflower or canola oil. I bake in 320F for convection and 350F for conventional oven :)

Good night...thanks a million for this recipe...i am going to try it...I have a few questions...can i use Cake flour and if I do will it make the cake lighter? And can I use 1/2 or 1/4 cup less sugar bcuz graduated sugar is so sweet... Let me know pls...blessings always.
Yes you can cake flour instead of all purpose flour. Sugar can be adjusted too according to your preference😊 Happy new year!

It says in the video to preheat oven at 160C or 320F. All ingredients should be at room temperature.

Some recipes beging by adding flour first then liquid and ending with the flour but yours is adding the liquid kast any reason we would be glad to knw

Sorry but what do you mean by Leavening? Because you didn't eat any yeast. And what is the neutral oil?
Hello Linda, leavening is a substance to make the batteror dough rise :) Neutral oil like avocado, grapeseed, sunflower or canola oil.
@@SavorEasy can I use the normel yeast that I use it to make bread? And what is the quantity because it is not mentioned in the recipe.
@@lindaballout9889 when she said leavening, she referred to baking soda or baking powder. This pound cake does not call for a yeast, so please don’t use yeast. If you don’t have baking soda or baking powder, just cream the butter and sugar together for at least 5 minutes to introduce air (which in itself is also considered as leavening). Hope this helps.

I made it and followed almost exactly (my only edit: I used lemon instead of almond extract). I have been looking for the right consistency of pound cake forever and this recipe is it. It takes some work but worth it. Better still, my family loves it too. Thank you.
