I was waiting for the bus. A man put his hand on my shoulder.
I told him not to ask what fragrance was on me, because it is just Mancera Cedrat Boise.
He smiled and said: okay, but can you give me £1 or 2.
He was a beggar 🤔
How do you find Cedrat Boise? I have a sample but the performance lacks, maybe just a poor sample.
Toon Lad
I get it online while i was in Poland last time.
It was @£50/120ml

😂
The EDT is harsh on my skin, EDP and Parfum work best. This has a dense creamy note that’s not present in the EDP. Classy stuff !
I love the smell of Parfum, but I can get a 150 ml of the EDP for the same price as a 100 ml of the Parfum. I think Chanel just went to far with the price and that will really hinder their sales on it as well. I mean who in the hell is going to spend $160 on a fragrance that last 5 hours max and has no projection to speak of?
It's my favourite of the bleu line. The drydown reminds me a bit of XXV.
Completely agree with you about Pour Monsieur being a better buy, one of Chanel's best.
Thanks Muddy. Pour Monsieur is a true masterpiece.
I have to disagree with u, i have all 3, and u can tell the difference!! Really like the parfume and the edp! The edp projects more than the parfume, but the parfume is more refined, i wear the parfume on dates etc, and the edp when I’m out and about!!
thanks Dan for this great review, i trust your nose 200%, and i do agree with you...for a designer they are asking for niche money....i like bleu de chanel...more so than sauvage...but am not paying the retail :) awesome work as always
You think this one isn't doing much until: you walk by someone and they immediately pick up your scent trail and compliment you. I own and love all 3 variants and there is enough difference among them to own all 3 in my opinion.
Hello, does it have a good scent trail you mean?
Best of the line easily, for me. I didn't like the first 2. Feels finished compared to them. There was a 15% off sale at the chanel counter at my Debenhams for 1 day so I bought it, my only "blue" fragrance. I like the woods In the dry down. Longevity and projection are ok on me. I agree about pour monsieur but mine's the edp, the edt smells *very* sharp on my skin
Couldn't agree with you more Mitch!
Justin Sauls 💃💃💃
Chanel took Olivier polge for a good reason he’s created so if the best selling frags over the last 10 years , so for why don’t they let him actually create a “new “ fragrance
I tested this Parfum fragrance in a store, Boscovs...and LOVED it!!! Lavender and woodiness and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!
Bought a full size Parfum bottle at Bloomingdales...and I hate it. Seriously...it sucks!
Nothing but lemon lemon lemon...it never transitions to any other note...but hellish LEMON.
Maybe this bottle needs to age for a year like the bottle I first tested...i don't know.
This is expensively disappointing.
Mate...PLEASE!!!!! instead of a BANG! when you spray could you do a HADOUKEN! or SONIC BOOM! from streetfighter 2?
Great review mate!
Got it from eBay France, new in box and sealed the 100ml for 40€, just love it when I stumble upon people, many times women that don't know what they have for sale, got about 50 fragrances and all are bought like this, just have patience and make many many very economic purchases
Never was interested in BDC. But I bought the first one just to have in my collection. Not a female character towards older women. I only had two older women smell it and they were meh and was too strong to their nose. Of course it’s probably like Dior’s fragrance where when it lingers in the air, is smells more pleasant. Chanel’s old stuff is what I like more. People don’t need all three unless you have money to burn and must need it because someone’s opinion helped you get it.
Nice one man! I just got a 100ml bottle last week, with 20% off in debenhams. I tried it a few times previously and it lasted and projected like a beast, I finished my 300ml bottle of edt last year so went for the new parfum version.
Nice! Glad your enjoying it. Impressed that you got through 300ml!!!
Hehe, it actually only took me 2 years to use the 300ml, i used it mainly for work
I always enjoy your point of view when it comes to frags. You are what I would classify as an old frag head. I say this with me being much older than you :-) What I mean is you really gravitate to vintage Frags and the way they smell. This is not a bad thing at all my friend. It gives me a new point of view to consider when I am looking into a new fragrance. thanks so very much for all you do for the Fragcom. Best regards James Underwood
Thanks James. You are absolutely right. I do sometimes love very modern and non classic scents too but I certainly have a soft spot for classic or nostalgic fragrances.
To me this goes powdery!!
I don't really like BDC, but i do like Mr. Smelly reviews so I am definetly watching to hear my mans point of view👊
Fragrance Rule No.1: Apart from a solitary example from a venerable French House dating to 1912, the words, “Blue”, “Bleu(e)”, “Blu”, or any cognates and derivatives thereof, ought to be hereafter permanently banned from perfumery on pain of “cruel and unusual punishment”.
I agree w/u..this one is smoother and not sharp...the best of the BDC line..however, not interesting enough for me to buy it...Im not thrilled w/the whole line of BDC at all...kind of generic at this point.
New, interesting feature for this channel. Unboxing. Nice.
Thanks a lot Alejandro.
I liked this it was okay, but kept getting told I smelled like an old lady so I stopped wearing it.
this just dosent work for me ....within five minutes all i smell is talc thats it
glad i bought a decant and not a bottle ....allure homme sport by chanel is wonderful though
You're the most entertaining fragrance reviewer ever. Love your vids. Greetings from Brunei
i bought the edp version recently (before watching this video of course lol😂). It's just okay. Nothing special. Definitely not worth the price tag.
Love chanel. Much better than the imitators. Glad to hear your thoughts. I know you love the retro stuff though
Thanks very much Danillon. I appreciate it.
how does this compare to perry ellis /pour homme by Perry Ellis? your thoughts.
*_Dan, spot on as usual. Your the best! Much love from the USA._*
Thanks very much Ritch Bitch.
MrSmelly is already dressed for Wimbledon, 40-love and bouncing balls.
It doesn't make any sense to buy these high priced popular fragrances that are widely available. You can walk in any store and ask for a free sample if you're in desperate need of smelling like everyone else. It's smarter to buy something more exclusive.
Thanks Sjaak. I agree there are more interesting and less common fragrances to be had at this price.
Dan I agree completely. They’re all very similar, just another money grab basically, rehashing the same formula slightly. The EDT gives me everything I need. 👍🏻
Truth be told, I think it has a role in my lineup and but I refuse to buy anything that is a dumb-grab and too many ppl refer to BDC for those reasons and it bugs the fack out of me. IMHO, and this is just me, if I was only interested in a dumb grab, why would I be here. I am in agreement with you, at the end of the day, I'd reach for something more distinctive and that's what I got. Sure if you want to smell like everybody else, fine.
Uninspiring. Yes. Worth the price. No. Mass appealing. Yes. Better than EDP. No. In my area most young men and proper gentleman wear the same fragrances and this line stands out because the average guy here would never voluntarily sample or wear something with “Chanel” on the bottle. I’ve gotten compliments on EDT and EDP with those wondering “What are you wearing?” Even after all the years and years these have become boring to scrutinizing noses. Bringing new fragrances out for the average person who doesn’t know what a fragrance note is is what I enjoy. I still love expanding my collection to include classics and new compositions but I never forget that around here most people can’t tell you if it’s $30 or $200. Only that you smell fantastic and hopefully entirely unique.
Hi Mr Smelly, the old man just watched your video,he say's none of the perfumes today excite him,he say's you can't beat the old vintage power houses from the 80's and 90's like Kouros and Jean Patou. He's asked me to ask you for your address as he wants to send you something
Nicely done my friend. I found this one to be lighter than the previous ones. Nice scent. So, will England win tomorrow?✌🏻
I dont see much of a difference I'm them. Doesnt last much longer either. But great review dan. Awesome as always!!
Thanks Mr Top Ten Scents. I agree with you.
Good review. Nice fragrances but I’m will go for edt imp
Amazing juice!
BDC PARFUM!
I'm personally extremely disappointed with this release. We wait years for Chanel to release new men's fragrances. It's irritating to me that Chanel takes their sweet time with men's releases and all they could come up with this time was reheated leftovers from the Bleu De Chanel line that they threw a couple new things into and made it even more expensive. It's a complete money grab and seems lazy and phoned in on Chanel's part to me. My point is that if Chanel is going to take 4+ years to release a new men's fragrance, I expect something unique and original, not a rehashed flanker that costs more than the rest of the line. Chanel hasn't even released a men's fragrance that isn't a flanker since the original Bleu De Chanel in 2010. They are WAY overdue for something new.
KentB27 I totally agree. I only wonder if Chanel is testing out what Olivier can do before letting him on his own with a new breakthrough fragrance. Much like he has done with Coco Mademoiselle Intense. A 16 year or so wait for a reformulation. It’s very similar to the original Eau de parfum version but overall more complete. Same as many reviews on The new Bleu. Fingers crossed he has something new and exciting to offer us soon.
Clifton Hough Realistically I don’t think there’s much more for them to do with their current men’s lines. The Allure Homme line and the Bleu De Chanel line do not need anymore flankers so I am hoping that they release something completely new next time.
KentB27 Agreed.
KentB27 yeah their performance is very week also you're just paying for the name like paying for a Mercedes the Hyundai Sonata will do you just as good haha
David Clark Exactly there are other fragrances out there that do the same job for less.
Nice. Short ans sweet. What I don't get is how can it be called a pafum if the sillage isn't incredible? A parfum is supposed to be a calling card and create a scent cloud that exists around a 5 ft. diameter or more. It would be interesting to hear a comparison of the three (edt, edp and parfum) in terms of performance over a 3 day period with Smurfy being the judge.
What would worry me is that you had to keep smelling your arm to judge it. A parfum should be in the air with no need to smell the nozzle or bring the skin to the nose. *COLOGNES* of the 1980's accomplished that!
Shave- a-thon
The higher the concentration of perfume oils, the less siliage and projection due to less alcohol content. Parfums are usually oil based.
Dropping loads !!!!
Nice review Sir
Thanks Jovi.
What.... no bush??😲
I just smell generic fresh scent with a weird like warm candy corn type of thing going on. weird
Gentleman...very good.
The worst among Bleu de Chanel line in my opinion
Wow, first comment 🤔☺
Thanks Roxeth.
Dammit. SMELLY. Why so late?
I think this one came out later in the UK than in the USA. As soon as I was able to smell it I did a review.
In my humble opinion. They all smell THE SAME 😂 you can’t tell the difference between the EDP and this so-called “Parfum” which is not concentrated at all. It’s nice , I mean nice and pleasant , citrusy vibe and that’s it .
The only thing that’s different either it’s EDP , EDT or the “PARFUM” is they last about 5-10min longer (if I may say so they perform mediocre)
You’d rather have a classic Chanel from the 1950’s??? Lol okay....real relevant.
Again with the samples maaaan if you are that broke just quit reviewing fragrances we like bottles not samples 😂😂😂
Finally, been waiting for your comments on this. Thank you so much!
