I've uninstalled TFD. After hitting the "endgame." I started noticing all the stitch points of where they sewed together pieces from Destiny and Warframe wholesale. The mechanics that were annoyingly redundant or slightly obtuse suddenly made sense, when I looked at them through the lense of what game they just straight copied it from. That finally helped me understand why I was feeling dissatisfied as even though the game took the parts that worked from either game, it also took on the parts that don't really work from both games, essentially doubling down on the layered RNG of Warframe Relics and stagnant grind of stat increments from Destiny's power levels. Once you get a grasp of what matters in terms of the meta, you start to notice how systems are just stacked on top of each other-- mod level, mastery level, gear level, character level-- without real consideration for optimization of interaction or balance. Like what even is the point of character levels, when so much of your stats come from gear and mods that can be equipped at any level? What is the point of weapon proficiency aside from the grind for mastery rank?
Just an FYI for people who play this game, Nexon have been caught lying about drop rates in the past and fined, not saying its happening in First Descendant but its something to be aware of as they have a history.
@@AnonymousUser1710 Well that sucks, I did see a video saying they are supposed to be 20% and the guy said its BS as you just never get the thing you want. Of course that's just one guy in a video so its not exactly proof but with their history it made me wonder.
Old story recommented like 1k times. Btw: I grinded three ultis in 3 days. Give me a break. If you can´t handle the grind then this game is not for you.
@@nwonknu3173 I agree, these games by their nature are about the grind. I was just making the point that Nexon have been caught lying about drop rates before, for that reason alone I would not touch this game as they cannot be trusted.
I really really wish people would stop comparing the monetization in games like this to Warframe. I understand why it happens, but no one talking about it states the HUGE difference in monetization due to Warframe's thriving trade market. Almost everything in Warframe can be bought, sold, or traded to other players for the premium currency. If you don't think that puts Warframe in a different class, then we can't be friends.
That is true. My problem with The First Descendants is that it copies the worst parts of Warframe's monetization. The most important part, the in-game player trade market, is missing.
@@misterymisterio8778 Absolutely, it's really not that bad of a game if looked at by itself, but when compared, WF blows it out of the water in most metrics. I am very biased though. Gotta' justify 3500 hours somehow haha.
I have 20 hours in first descendant. The game feels very mediocre after some time in it. At first the game keep me in for a while but slowly fell out when I felt like everything new that I came across was the same as what I have already played.
@@Spat1oBro the same 3/4 mission again and again for how many zones? 9? And each zone has from 3 to 5 small areas you have to unlock so 9×4×4 = 144 you have to do the same mission approximately 36 times😐😐😐
Yup I have 200 hours in it and surely regret it lmfao, I have all the ultimates and most ultimate weapons and ik bored out of my mind, it's so repetitive that it's a chore. And you get to the point where there's no point in grinding which means there's no point in even playing lol
As someone who has over 1000 hours in warframe I can safely say that Warframe is so much easier to farm warframes, within an hour or 2 I can get all parts and instantly start creating them since the resources needed are usually on the same planet, weapons are the same, FD however requires so many hours to farm a character, it's ridiculous
So many hours? Are you comparing ultimate (tfd's equivalent of prime) with normal frames in warframe? Cause I highly doubt you can get a prime frame in two hours. If you can, then the people with 3k+ hours in warframe are a bit insane imo. Normal characters in TFD can be earned in a few hours too
lies, did you farm ivora 😂😂😂 or you farm platinum just to unlock her. In order to farm ivora you need to perfect spy mission almost in 30-40 spy mission. To do a spy mission, you need to get spy warframe loki, and ash. Then youre stuck finding one of those which resulting unlocking one frame almost cost you a week. First descendant is like a baby of warframe. I can unlock 5 descendant in one week and i got ultimate bunny on sunday. Zero requirement of getting specific ability just to get a descendant
for the relic sharing, you have to find 3 people including yourselves with the same relic. Not to mention HOST MIGRATION ISSUE is still athing in this game. Prime grind is hard in warframe if you cant get 3 players to open the same relic 😂😂😂😂 MEANWHILE IN TFD, JUST GO FARM AMOR, SPAM BUNNY SKILLS, THEN UNLOCK THE AMOR BY PLAYING BOSSFIGHT OR VOID. SPAM BUNNY SKILLS AND FINISH. I DO THIS IN SOLO, ZERO WASTING MY TIME WAITING PLAYERS TO HOST RELIC SHARING IN WARFRAME.
@@sussy_61 you don't need a loki or Ash to do spy missions, just get wukong from a clan dojo lol. I haven't spent any money or platinum on prime frames, they are easy to get, there is always people running the same relics as you and you can ask in recruitment chat to see if anyone wants to run a specific relic. If a frame is taking you a week then big oof for you, even Citrine doesn't take a week and that's currently the longest grind in the game which I may add is being shortened, I guess for someone who is only playing like 2-3 hours a day then it's a week but as someone who is playing 10 hours a day the longest I've grinded for is Citrine at 8 hours
So, I tried The First Descendant, a few friends were playing a bit... didn't hate it but didn't see why I should play that over Destiny, Warframe or The Division...it offers very little.
Honestly biggest issue as a Warframe player personally is it both takes far longer to earn the Descendants for free compared with Warframe, it's more expensive, and on top of that you can't earn the premium currency. Warframe has it's issues but at least I can sell shit I don't want to players for platinum and then buy what I want with that, be it blueprints etc
@@Jet-ij9zc Possibly the shittest excuse and defence for TFD lmao I'm not waiting 11 years for TFD to get as good as Warframe, Nexon have had 11 years to copy Destiny and Warframe and take what's good and leave out the bad things
did you farm ivora? or did you farm platinum to quick unlock it 😂😂😂. Warframe players with lies. People know how pain to farm warframe. The only people i see here are the one who complaining because caliber is much expensive to get and there are no trading system 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
@@JackalArtsmith then you'll play warframe forever. Which is fine, buy you need to realize that no game will ever release with more than a decade worth of content and QOL. But keep in mind that not everyone likes warframe. I tried it out a few times and everytime it was a confusing mess for new players and I could barely do anything because so.e random player would join my missions and clear room before I even have time to them.
@@Jet-ij9zc and they should, if you ignore this red flag, don't be surprised when they do some shady practices again the way they did in the past. That's aside, the game itself is basically a worse version of warframe and D2 objectively.
@@TheBikeOnTheMoon nah, it's fun, I haven't spent a dime, characters look good and I've met cool people If they implement some nasty practice I'll just leave, it's not that big of a deal. Besides, Destiny and Warframe have also had their fair share of controversies when it comes to their in-game economies. (I've played both for a long time, D1 since 2014 and Warframe since the frames had a stamina bar, Lotus was a PNG, and the menu was the void of space lol, good times.)
@@TheBikeOnTheMoondisagree, it’s better than Destiny in gameplay but worse than Warframe. Story wide, yeah, it’s a sh1t show. Destiny have the best life service story ever. warframe in middle…but each have their strong and weakest. Warframe at launch are terrible…it took years for them to reach today’s success. Compare to that, TFD have very good starting out. People didn’t choose warframe because their design are garbage. That’s all…there’s nothing else to complain about Warframe. But Destiny? We have a whole conversations…like it was a paid game, locked contents behind paywall, characters are doing same sh1t, no role, no team tactics…just gun vs run and upgrade your gears. Still…i love Destiny story too much that i could ignore those flaw in gameplay. Which is the same with Division…so does this tfd. I love the game because it’s fan services and very enjoyable together. Make a team and do dungeons…farming together.
I played for about 2 weeks from launch, the gameplay loop is the same per every region that i went through, same missions over and over. Despite that i had fun running around and shooting.
@@retropetro6982 Sort of, but I think Once Human mixes it up a bit more and in better ways, but Once Human isn't a very good game and has its own set of problems. The First Descendant is far better polished and the art direction is superior, which helps makes it feel a little more inviting, especially thanks to the awesome character designs and weapons.
Warframes monetization blows TFD out of the water completely. Most things in warframe cost legitmately 1/20th the price of the same thing in TFD and there's player trading to get in-game currency without spending money. For example, the item to increase mod capacity in warframe is less than $2 of in-game currency, whereas it is slightly more than the $20 currency pack in TFD. Prime warframes also typically cost between $3-10 of currency in warframe via in game trading, meaning the currency doesnt leave circulation. Whereas in TFD ultimates cost $50 atm and that currency is deleted from the economy. The battlepass in warframe is free only, no ability to pay for it at all. Also, most base warframes take at most an hour to earn. Some take way longer due to reputation grinds, but most are easy to earn.
Warframes drop chances don't lie to you like TFDs do. Nexon has already been caught lying about their drop chances in order to then sell the same item that people are farming, in the cash shop.
@@sadturtlesoup8832 aha, and how precisely did they lie about it? I'm honestly curious now, because every time RNG is involved you'll soon see the claim that "the company lies and it's rigged", and yeah, people also do that in warframe because they don't understand that a 33% drop chance doesn't mean you get it with a 100% chance the third time you do a mission, might as well be the 150th time.
@@Unknown_Genius Nexon is already being sued by the South Korean government for lying about drop chances in another one of their games. There's several people who have been doing testing and are finding that the drop chances in TFD aren't what they seem.
@@Unknown_Geniusthey have a patent for something called "Dynamic RNG" which basically changes the drop chances. So if something is 20% sometimes it won't actually be 20% and it won't change on the UI screen.
As someone who's maxed around 8 decendants and beaten every boss in the game. This only fun for the first few hours and that's ignoring the terrible story, then the repeatitiveness kicks in.The MtX and pay to not grind is fucking terrible honestly if you spend more than 40 on this game it's not worth imo just save your money. I learner that the hard way.
in warframe: you DON'T have to open your wallet to buy characters and cosmetics or to skip the grind since you can easily acquire the premium currency though in-game trading. you DON'T have to re-buy color pigments everytime you want to paint something you DON'T have to buy skins to be able to use the color you already bought
warframe added trading months after release, nexon is currently working on the trading system and its set to release soon, they had coloring default skins in the beta and removed it for the release, but the people want em back and they will probably bend their knee
I mean you really don't have to open your wallet for the characters in this either? Sure trading is a thing and it's comming but I cant say it will be like warframes but since launch I have gotten all but 3 ultimates and maybe 3 other characters? The dye system sucks for sure. I agree, as does buying skins for dye usage sucks. But you def don't need to open your wallet for characters. As for how easy it is... thats up to just luck at this point. Some people have good luck and some have shitty luck.
Warframe has shared loot drops, and full premium currency trading. The trading is in effect a whole other aspect of its playability, and the battle pass and content is free. Warframe is simply in another superior dimension.
The first descendant is a good game, then you realize that its published by nexon, no developer on earth could not bend their knee to them, there is only so much the devs can do. As a f2p player the game is extremely grindy, and this coming from someone that plays warframe around 1.6k hours on and off.
@BigFryTV why is nobody talking about the janky run/jump animation?? It’s so jarring and bad! When you jump, your character does a landing pose but if you’re running and then jump, it misses frames from the jump animation to returning to running. I think it’s some of the worst movement I’ve ever seen in a modern game.
I appreciate the grind. I came from Apex Legends as my main game and enjoy the loop of TFD. Its simple and fun and you can grind for pretty much anything, will it take forever probably will you enjoy that 2-5 seconds of dopamine when you finally get the last time to craft the item you want OH YEAH. I only bought the battle pass and coming from Apex who has terrible battle passes, I'll take this any day. Something that actually helps me in the game or that I can use. Not just a throw away skin that ill never look at or meaningless levels for a money grab.
One thing people need to remember it's game made by Nexon. They have patented one scum thing: if you are F2P player you will NEVER, EVER get Legendary blueprints. Here is a brief summary by someone else: @WorldsTallestLeprechaun Yeah, I looked up a bit about that awhile ago. The trick with part of Nexon's shenanigans is that they own a patent/copyright on a Gacha system which "tweaks" the success rate of the drops depending on how much of a F2P peon you are, versus a P2W whale. Basically, it measures stuff like how much money you've spent on the game, how many cosmetics you have, how many people are on your friends list who ALSO have paid cosmetics and have put money into the game, and how often you play the game, and a whole bunch of other factors. And if, AT SOME POINT, you dip below a certain level separating the whales from the "bottom-feeders" who are trying to enjoy a free-to-play game FOR FREE, then that random chance you have to get a jackpot in the gacha system will drop to 0% and it will NEVER recover. Now, here's the gag with that, which is one of those things that makes me in exasperation. Nexon "Only" owns the PATENT on that. Meaning they thought of the idea, wrote it down, and from then on if ANY OTHER COMPANY tries to utilize that sort of mechanic into their own Gacha system, Nexon can sue them AND/OR simply demand a cut from that company for using the idea that Nexon thought of. SUPPOSEDLY. This doesn't mean Nexon is using that sort of game mechanic in THEIR games. They just slapped their brand name onto the concept and NOTHING ELSE. Supposedly.
I love it. TFD is a great mix of several of my most played games of the last decade. The grind can get rough, I wouldn't cry about some sort of pity system, but the Devs were pretty upfront about how this is a long haul grinding game. It's not for everybody but feels great to me.
i enjoy playing this game with my friends that don’t like Warframe, but i’m not spending a dime on this game either. i only spend money on one F2P game and that’s Warframe.
As a first time player of the looter shooter genre, this game is really fun! I'm still doing my best to avoid online guides and I just finished the campaign. Currently working on my main Freyna. Best part of the game is to figuring out stuff on my own and besides "access info" gives the necessary info I need to tackle on the content.
Game is not bad to be honest. The grind is fun. I will say I only spent 5 bucks to get a characters research done faster because I wanted to play them. But aside that I will not spend a dime more. That satisfaction you get when you finally get the piece you've been grinding for drops is fantastic.
I remember when I tried this game I enjoyed it, but everything about it just made me feel like I was eating empty calories. Just slurping up looter shooter slop.
I found it weird that I’m more than ok with warframe’s monetization despite TFD proving the same reasons why I shouldn’t like it. It hit me a couple months back that it’s bc we as players have enough trust in DE to keep giving us what we already like in WF. Sure of course we pay to skip grind but as far as I can say a lot of us know that we’re supporting the game by doing this, the money we put it goes back into the game or goes to a good cause. DE are just great, passionate and talented people, even they’re transparent about why some micro transactions are the way they are because it they fund a good chunk of revenue and why we still get free big chunks of content. The monetization system in WF works as flawed as some areas are because we trust them with our money, and a lot of us genuinely want to support the game that we already love along with the devs that made it. When paying in F2P games or buying any micro transaction, the question shouldn’t be if you want to skip grinding, the question should be do you think the game and its devs are worth your support? Then go from there. I would love if Nexon can turn out to be the same or at least the devs behind TFD.
This! 100%, reason why when someone ask is WF worth the time and the money you put in? I always said, look if i am enjoying a game even after 5K hours and the games keeps evolving with every big update and compare to those update the amount of entertainment = Money going in is way less. DE, Grinding Gears, Hello Games are one of those few devs who put their heart into what they are doing and has a very healthy community cause of it. I love them.
Yup literally all the hate to this game comes from people that either played destiny or warframe , i never played those 2 games which is why i enjoy this game so much :)
Most annoying thing is that you cant level your mastery rank once your favourit weapons and descendant hit max level for the first time. You can reset the level of weapons and descendants, but you wont get any mastery rank xp for leveling them again, so you HAVE to get new descendants and you HAVE to use other weapons to keep leveling your mastery rank. And even with 10 descendants and 20+ weapons at max level, im currently at mastery rank 20 out of 30..... and the required xp grow with each level. Oh and btw you only have space for 10 descendants. If you want to have more, you HAVE to buy capacity for 50 Kaliber, which is 1$, so bullshit. So you basically have to max nearly EVERY weapon in the game or you HAVE to buy descendant capacity
@@MATTYDAZZ that isnt possible. You can Google it if you dont believe me. You only gain Mastery XP after you surpass the level of wrapon/descendant before resetting. But since you only can reset at max level, you dont gain mastery xp
@@markt335 that's why it's called "mastery", when you maxxed it you "mastered" it. that's why you only get the EXP for your mastery rank once per decendant/weapon.
As a dirty casual i'm having fun with Ajax. I'll probably play through the main storyline. Collect some Ajax stuff. And then drop the game until it gets improved. So far it's one of the few decent alternatives to Destiny & Warframe. And 'out of the gates' it is better than I expected.
It seems this game is a discount warframe but that might be ok for the more casual gamer that dont have time or the focus to learn the million things that warframe has today, but that is also the problem, for most average gamers this game get extremely repadativ in a few hours, and the there is the much higher pool prices compaired to again warframe
It's mid...but not every game has to be an absolute banger. For me, it's fun to mindlessly play & have fun with buddies to pass the time. It's no Socom II But...the price is right!
I played about 10 hrs, then i was bored, wondering why i am even playing. I actually enjoy Once Human WAY more. only problem i have with Once Human is the season locks. 3 of us started on a server, when the rest of the gang wanted to play we had to find a new server and start over because first server was full. So we start grinding again, being way more efficient because we have already done this. I defeat the 3rd boss to be met with next season starts in 3 days 17 hrs!!!!! i am pissed i have to wait that long to go to the next zone. If i went back to first server i could be on 5th zone already but would be wasting my time as my friends cant all get in.
Been playing on a daily. Honeymoon phase is over. Loving it but i have some gripes that i think need attention asap. - Too much RNG - You got RNG on collecting materials that act as loot boxes - Then you got more RNG after you kill a boss and put the material into a loot box opener - Or go grind the same mission on repeat for the same 60 loot boxes for a 3-6% chance on each of them for what you want - Just way too much RNG They already lost more than half the playerbase on steam Edit: I play around 3 hours a day since launch. Some days more. I got 1 ultimate descendant part. Just saying... this shit is crazy lol Still gonna play but damn...
I'd be tempted by 2 Ultimates if they had a 60% discount, people are insane paying £44 for a character. One thing you didn't mention ( I think) Is that there is a 10 character slot limit, so your going to have to pay once you unlock more tan that. If it's priced like the skins, I'll give up on the game.
I'm at 40 hours so far. I'm enjoying the game. Its a fun grind. Hoping they have a good cadence to the live service. I'm just glad there is something besides warframe to scratch this itch.
I strongly suggest people with gambling and self control issues to not play free to play games. I cant tell you how many times i see people whining about spending 600$ in a free game and not get what they want or that they dont have any money left to get gas to go to work or food to eat. I and many others can play them just fine and not spend a penny. Sometimes ill spend some money cause im enjoying the game but always make sure you have food and bills covered and budget your money for hobbies and savings
Bro The First Descendant is like playing Uno with your friends. It's just mindless shooting while catching up with your friends at the same time. I clocked 160+ hours just grinding and chatting, so much so that all 4 of us are getting sleep deprived (which is not fun at all XD). But honestly, play any good games other than this. Not worth the time and energy you're gonna waste on this...unless you are absolutely tired of Genshin Impact or any gacha games 😅
Best tip I can say to anyone is dont buy a single character or item in the store. When you hit end game you need objectives/goals and they are perfect for that while you crush the bosses!
It's a grind game, that's fun. Iv fell out of love with games over the last few months, this has me hooked. The drop rate sucks but the feeling when you get it is a good feeling
For me, coming from Warframe and Destiny 2, the game is so similar it is easy for long time looter shooter mmo players to either get very into this or burn out on it immediately My main issue is the combat. While gunplay and movement is smooth it feels like I'm never ever at threat of dying ever. Essentially it gets very boring very quickly when there is nothing on the line
There’s a game I think you would like to review it’s called synthetic legion rising it’s a top down mover, shooter game, where you will never have the same weapon layout in every campaign you run.
Generic looter shooter w over sexualized characters, stuff we alrdy seen before yet we clown concord and other games for being generic like their predecessors. Gaming is a joke.
Speaking of scummie micro transactions. Just recently booted up PUBG and my fucking god, you can’t even play solos anymore unless you cough up $20 Aussie dollars a month. I thought it was a fucking joke
I usually dont agree with most of your takes, but this one you nailed perfectly. It has a great game loop, runs great but the world is dull AF. If anything, it made me go and replay BL1 which I hadnt played in 10 yrs and after 100 hrs, better time spent.
Honestly, tried it out on pc. It just felt like warframe mixed with anthem mixed with destiny. The last mission of the first zone bugged and couldn't be completed for me until the patch came out literally the next day.
*You know, a wise man, by the name of Thor, once said "The First Descendant is actually 'Pay To Loose' because you are actually paying real money to NOT play the game..."* *I believe he is right... From what I have seen in The First Descendant, in just a couple hours, it seems like if you buy a lot of microtransactions in the game to progress faster, you are just cutting back your play time, which is the WHOLE POINT of the game.... It would have been nice to see them do a "Once Human Approach" and make the microtransactions COSMETIC ONLY but it seems like if you want to grind & spend a lot of extra time playing The First Descendant, you can do so without spending a cent.* *A good rule of thumb when it comes too Free to Play, PvP &/or PvE games, do NOT spend more than $30-$60 on the game... Because that is what you would be spending anyways.*
LOL Love how much you are not sugarcoated MATE - the story line LOL skip it! WE ALWAYS DO except for the destorying the big thing in main quest Great take on the game mate :)
In warframes defense of its purchasable currency, there's a market place for warframe so you can trade certain things for the currency. So warframe has a fair excuse in my book since you could grind for an expensive item, than trade it for the currency and use it how you please.
it took warframe months to introduce trading as well. that being said: It's usually cheaper to just pay yourself in warframe than wasting your time for the extra grind for anything that's worth at least something, not even mentioning the electricity costs that are usually higher than the outcome. Like e.g. Yeah, you may be able to sell adaptation for 40 plat, but the 40 plat (or about 50 cents) I gave you for it is time I spend doing something different with my PC off, while you most likely spent more than 2h grinding for it (which is somewhere in between 70cents - 2.50€+(with extra + depending on how unlucky you get) with my electricity costs). You see the issue? There's no "premium currency for free", someone paid for it, and the one trading for it more often than not paid more than double the price. Trading in WF is essentially just a cheap way to get people to play more and have higher numbers, sell other people things they don't want to grind for/don't have the time for so they spend money - and pretty much keep both sides engaged - all of it fueled by additional "needs" like riven slots, weapon and frame slots, sentinel slots (you get the point).
I start to think that Dev treat gamers like dumbAsses 😂😅 there's nothing to do in the endgame excepted to grind in the same fucking map over and over again... locked area same dungeon Zero Fun!!!!
I put in 80 hours. Farmed Enzo’s code for over 2 weeks. Couldn’t even get the amorphous to drop but twice. Pissed me off because I’ve heard of other people getting it in 3 hours. So I decided to try warframe and actually deleted the first descendant lol. It’s no comparison to warframe. Not even close
For me its more fun than warframe because you dont have to grind for 100h-200h to get that one weapon or mod. Also theres no stuff that you just cant obtain anymore. The gameplay is also fun id say. 7/10
the games actually fun compared to other games its not a gacha machine the droprates are awesome and it feels like a loot shower. its maybe not for you but for most of us this game is a breath of fresh air
Ignoring the monetization, it is basically a watered-down version of Warframe. On top of that, the graphics are a hundred times more demanding. So between Warframe And TFD, Warframe, as of now, is just the better game. Yes, it also has lots of 🍑🍑🍑
I could care less if it is or not. Im 160 hours in and still loving it. Ive been looking for a grind game and this is perfect for Yes theres monetization but its not needed as you can get everything in game. So if you buy its on you
You are focusing too much on the paying for a character part lol. Nevermind the fact that you can unlock an Ultimate Character around 3-4 days in Hard mode. All these westerners are so used to convenience, they refuse to work hard for stuff :D. I tell you, earning these unlocks in game are so rewarding. That is what the game is about. Paying for money for a shortcut, deprives you of that experience.
This game strikes me like hell divers 2. Insane start to the game but absolute lack of variety in meaningful content.100% in 1-2 months people will forget about this game.
Are companies really that thirsty for my gilf video history? Now let's all go listen to "Two Joints" and get some meaning back into our lives. Hail Sithis!
*These games are bringing back the good ol' nostalgia, from back in the days (for me) of the N64, PlayStation 1 & OG Xbox days, where the games had AMAZING GAMEPLAY but horrible voice acting, a bad plot &/or story but you love it anyway because of how good the GAMEPLAY is... Which, in my humble & honest opinion, is LIGHT YEARS MORE IMPORTANT than fancy actors doing voice overs for a decent story but with horrible & boring gameplay....* *The story of Once Human & the voice acting, IF you can even call it "voice acting", is absolutely horrible & complete dog shit but the gameplay is insanely fun & addicting... The Voice acting in Once Human is absolute comedy because of how bad it is, plus most of the time there is NO voice acting and I prefer it that way, I wish I could completely turn voice acting OFF in Once Human; so I can just read the dialogue myself because, while even the script is bad acting, you can at least try to make it sound better in your own head, with your own made up voice... I actually think that the dialogues & cut scenes are BETTER in "The First Decendent", even though they are still bad but the "world" & "lore" of "Once Human" is better.* *I am all for companies putting more time & financial resources into a game that has GREAT GAMEPLAY, instead of paying actors millions of dollars to voice act a villain &/or hero... You can skip through all the story & dialogues in "Once Human" & "The First Descendant" and still have an absolute great time grinding & playing...*
Exactly the same way. I'll play these games and have fun and just move on to other stuff when it hits the mega paywall, as I'm not spending shit on these games, lol. Did he same thing with lost ark, which has the eastern style PTW crap.

Oh believe me, it's happening in first descendant too. It's drop rates are bullsh¡t.

The most important part, the in-game player trade market, is missing.
warframe added trading months after release, tfd said they are releasing a player trading system soon
@@misterymisterio8778 Absolutely, it's really not that bad of a game if looked at by itself, but when compared, WF blows it out of the water in most metrics. I am very biased though. Gotta' justify 3500 hours somehow haha.

I mean if you wanna be real monetization is the same as most games pass the fact it has decent skins but it fun to me

Prime grind is hard in warframe if you cant get 3 players to open the same relic 😂😂😂😂
MEANWHILE IN TFD, JUST GO FARM AMOR, SPAM BUNNY SKILLS, THEN UNLOCK THE AMOR BY PLAYING BOSSFIGHT OR VOID. SPAM BUNNY SKILLS AND FINISH. I DO THIS IN SOLO, ZERO WASTING MY TIME WAITING PLAYERS TO HOST RELIC SHARING IN WARFRAME.

I love the game because it’s fan services and very enjoyable together. Make a team and do dungeons…farming together.
I played for about 2 weeks from launch, the gameplay loop is the same per every region that i went through, same missions over and over. Despite that i had fun running around and shooting.
It's because it's not a typical game, it's a looter shooter, you're meant to grind and farm items
Once Human now has higher players counts according to Steam DB.
@@sadturtlesoup8832 correction, warframe doesnt tell you drop rates
@@sadturtlesoup8832 aha, and how precisely did they lie about it?
I'm honestly curious now, because every time RNG is involved you'll soon see the claim that "the company lies and it's rigged", and yeah, people also do that in warframe because they don't understand that a 33% drop chance doesn't mean you get it with a 100% chance the third time you do a mission, might as well be the 150th time.
@@Unknown_Genius Nexon is already being sued by the South Korean government for lying about drop chances in another one of their games. There's several people who have been doing testing and are finding that the drop chances in TFD aren't what they seem.

in warframe:
you DON'T have to open your wallet to buy characters and cosmetics or to skip the grind since you can easily acquire the premium currency though in-game trading.
you DON'T have to re-buy color pigments everytime you want to paint something
you DON'T have to buy skins to be able to use the color you already bought
warframe added trading months after release, nexon is currently working on the trading system and its set to release soon, they had coloring default skins in the beta and removed it for the release, but the people want em back and they will probably bend their knee
devs said they are gonna add trading
The first point is valid. Complaining about colors in a free game is just elementary.
Easily kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk ...Ps2 artstyle players are coping hard
Warframe has shared loot drops, and full premium currency trading. The trading is in effect a whole other aspect of its playability, and the battle pass and content is free. Warframe is simply in another superior dimension.
Usually comments about sponsors are negative, but I enjoyed the way you integrated it into the video, not intrusive at all!

Here is a brief summary by someone else:
@WorldsTallestLeprechaun
Yeah, I looked up a bit about that awhile ago.
Yo Fry. I don't know if you remember me and my clan. Or if we ever crossed paths. Mako was my tag. Good to see you're still around
Discount Warframe where the grind is even longer and they want your wallet every chance they can get.
i enjoy playing this game with my friends that don’t like Warframe, but i’m not spending a dime on this game either. i only spend money on one F2P game and that’s Warframe.
The only reason the game is popular is because of the skins. Especially the ones that show-off the bakery and milkers on certain characters.
Game is not bad to be honest. The grind is fun. I will say I only spent 5 bucks to get a characters research done faster because I wanted to play them. But aside that I will not spend a dime more. That satisfaction you get when you finally get the piece you've been grinding for drops is fantastic.
There are so many grind games that have shady drop rate behaviour, Nexon are just one of the ones that got caught
I remember when I tried this game I enjoyed it, but everything about it just made me feel like I was eating empty calories. Just slurping up looter shooter slop.
That’s a good way to describe it
Tbf i have unlocked 6 descendants + the 1 you get free in 2 weeks of grinding so it is not that bad imo
Eastern made games to me always feel I can't put my finger on it but they feel very strange

Huh? I’m getting xp towards mastery every time I reset weapons and descendants. I’m mastery 21. I’m confused by your statement.
@@MATTYDAZZ that isnt possible. You can Google it if you dont believe me. You only gain Mastery XP after you surpass the level of wrapon/descendant before resetting. But since you only can reset at max level, you dont gain mastery xp

- Too much RNG
- You got RNG on collecting materials that act as loot boxes
- Then you got more RNG after you kill a boss and put the material into a loot box opener
- Or go grind the same mission on repeat for the same 60 loot boxes for a 3-6% chance on each of them for what you want
- Just way too much RNG

I'd be tempted by 2 Ultimates if they had a 60% discount, people are insane paying £44 for a character.
It’s underrated . Fantastic experience
The only thing I’m taking away from this is that Warframe is doing SO WELL that it’s now the name of the genre.

For me, coming from Warframe and Destiny 2, the game is so similar it is easy for long time looter shooter mmo players to either get very into this or burn out on it immediately
My main issue is the combat.

The fact there isn’t any PvP is why this game will go night night
*You know, a wise man, by the name of Thor, once said "The First Descendant is actually 'Pay To Loose' because you are actually paying real money to NOT play the game..."*
*I believe he is right... From what I have seen in The First Descendant, in just a couple hours, it seems like if you buy a lot of microtransactions in the game to progress faster, you are just cutting back your play time, which is the WHOLE POINT of the game.... It would have been nice to see them do a "Once Human Approach" and make the microtransactions COSMETIC ONLY but it seems like if you want to grind & spend a lot of extra time playing The First Descendant, you can do so without spending a cent.*
*A good rule of thumb when it comes too Free to Play, PvP &/or PvE games, do NOT spend more than $30-$60 on the game... Because that is what you would be spending anyways.*

I start to think that Dev treat gamers like dumbAsses 😂😅 there's nothing to do in the endgame excepted to grind in the same fucking map over and over again... locked area same dungeon
Zero Fun!!!!
It's a fun game and this is cool. It's like the boys and you can choose super power
The only cutscene in my opinion that is actually worth watching in TFD is when Jeremy and his squad get ambushed
For me its more fun than warframe because you dont have to grind for 100h-200h to get that one weapon or mod. Also theres no stuff that you just cant obtain anymore. The gameplay is also fun id say. 7/10
WHATS THE NAME OF THE SONG AT THE END PLEASE
the games actually fun compared to other games its not a gacha machine the droprates are awesome and it feels like a loot shower. its maybe not for you but for most of us this game is a breath of fresh air
Overated?! Pretty sure YES
Ive been looking for a grind game and this is perfect for
Yes theres monetization but its not needed as you can get everything in game.
I got 5 hours into First Descendant when I realised we have First Descendant at home and its called Warframe and its just better.
One thing I have to admit, the devs are being pretty goated, at least for now...
Frame-likes.....I say we call them frame-likes
For those that really love a grind fest with infinite possibilities and even more grind this is a really good game.
Totally agree with the story lol. I love the gameplay and find it very satisfying but the story sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo 9/10 times.
to my understanding the only issue here are the MTX and thats about it. This game does indeed look really cool and the fan service is certainly there
This game strikes me like hell divers 2. Insane start to the game but absolute lack of variety in meaningful content.100% in 1-2 months people will forget about this game.
It's not overrated. It just came out at the right time.
Is it worth playing if you’re already invested into warframe? I don’t need another grind.
it's rated only 54% on steam so not really over rated
Are companies really that thirsty for my gilf video history? Now let's all go listen to "Two Joints" and get some meaning back into our lives. Hail Sithis!
*These games are bringing back the good ol' nostalgia, from back in the days (for me) of the N64, PlayStation 1 & OG Xbox days, where the games had AMAZING GAMEPLAY but horrible voice acting, a bad plot &/or story but you love it anyway because of how good the GAMEPLAY is... Which, in my humble & honest opinion, is LIGHT YEARS MORE IMPORTANT than fancy actors doing voice overs for a decent story but with horrible & boring gameplay....*
*The story of Once Human & the voice acting, IF you can even call it "voice acting", is absolutely horrible & complete dog shit but the gameplay is insanely fun & addicting... I actually think that the dialogues & cut scenes are BETTER in "The First Decendent", even though they are still bad but the "world" & "lore" of "Once Human" is better.*
*I am all for companies putting more time & financial resources into a game that has GREAT GAMEPLAY, instead of paying actors millions of dollars to voice act a villain &/or hero... You can skip through all the story & dialogues in "Once Human" & "The First Descendant" and still have an absolute great time grinding & playing...*
my first impression of the game was "lol i could be playing warframe compared to this downgrade of a game"
Exactly the same way. I'll play these games and have fun and just move on to other stuff when it hits the mega paywall, as I'm not spending shit on these games, lol. Did he same thing with lost ark, which has the eastern style PTW crap.
Why even mention that it steals your data if you then go on to change topic
