I just assumed the voices not being synced with mouth movement was because the animations are for Korean while we have an english dub.

With the latest update they made it REALLY CLEAR that they actually listen to the players and fixed so much so it's looking really good. It seems like the only Nexon part was just the microtransactions

And i gotta say im happy with microtransactions as they are. Sure a whale can ruin their own fun by buying all characters but its barely going to make him more powerful. Id love to have more free cosmetics but if looking a bit more generic is what allows me to play the game completely free then thats fine by me.
In my almost 5 decades of gaming, here's what i know.
1) The mtx horse has been freed since people put fancy armor on it. There is no closing that barn door.
2) Don't spend 1 penny more than you can comfortably afford on any game.
3) Play a game you like and are having fun with. Don't let anyone talk you out of that.
4) It's okay, it's really is okay, for someone else to play a game you don't like made by a company you hate.
very well said. i know i will be outed for this but i kinda don't like helldivers 2. tried, tried again, still don't. why? no real customization. you have call of duty call in's via QTE (something i will NEVER like, just get rid of that qte crap) a couple weapons bolstered once in awhile, (all the armor is basically the same aside from one or two buff's/debuff's) and an upgrade mechanic that really only effects those call in's. the flavor is all there and i totally get that, love starship troopers and always will. just feel like it's missing so much it could have so easily but the dev's don't want to be bothered with adding new texture's/model's, fixing them to not clip etc, or add anything that is not a weapon or skin. i know i know, automata and the big enemy. but still. is a decent upgrade system so much to ask for when you know you already have the playerbase? just let me upgrade my weapons. maybe even 4 upgrades with dif rarity. don't even have to effect models or textures. armor upgrades? shit ya im all in at that point. armor and weps im in game right NOW. upgrades for the armor, weapons, call ins. AND DIFFERANT MECHS with upgrades? life time player. im just sayin.

We played it a lot but I was not really enjoying the “souls like” shoot dodge, run, shoot, gameplay. I stopped playing it after a while and was like y’all gunna crucify me for this but I just don’t have much fun playing it lol. And now the player base is gone to absolute shit 😂
So true! I'm still upset Anthem was canceled. Many didn't like it but I found myself drawn to the game. 😊

I swear the one enemy sounds exactly like Grineer dying in Warframe
I feel like a lot of it is “”inspired”” as in many of the sounds or icons are seen in other games whether they’re free or not. Destiny 2 got many of their icons for various things from free icon packs; but destiny 2 made those icons ICONIC. TFD suspiciously uses all the same icons with little to no change.
Also, most of their characters are very obviously inspired (most of them are actually pretty original, besides bunny, which very clearly takes from gauss and volt and then also looks like a warframe) from other IPs. The enemies are very obviously inspired by destiny" the top half of the UI feels similar to warframe, and the camera angle and the reticle and the way damage counters look. It feels like a game that has taken a lot from many places and that’s COOL but it has done very little on top of that to differentiate it from any of those IPs. When I first heard about and saw it I literally thought DE was making it.
PLUS Nexon is making it, PLUS it’s free, PLUS it’s gonna involve P2W mechanics.

Certain bosses you have to kill them in the order they spawn or it will refresh.

Dynamic Scaling is good whenever there's more rewards to equal the increased difficulty, like in PoE enemies gain more health but also more loot with the amount of players in your party, so even if you have 1-2 bad teammates you can bare with it knowing you'll get better loot.
Also Asmongold: "0.0003% drop rate... eh, not bad"

As the "there is too much downtime" i can agree. Stuff spawns so slow and also at endgame doing bosses for blueprints. If i kill a boss in 4 seconds, i have to wait 30 seconds for a reset, some more for loading screen, and then another 10 seconds before i can go to boss again and then the boss spawn animation.
Only buying the items that increase mod space is false. They can 100% be ground for. Same with the items used to add polarity to slots.
it's literally Korean Warframe, if you don't like Warframe 99% chance you don't like this. only big thing I hope they add is crouching or more movement options

And the movement is okay, I'm not a fan of grappling movement, but it is what it is. I do feel like there needs to be more mobility choices. Doesn't need to be as insane as warframes movement system, but something closer to it would be nice, especially with descendants like Bunny, Sharon or viessa who I imagine should have more options for verticality.

The Pyro Coloss really is a DPS and skill check .... lot , like LOT of players are stuck on it , waiting for a guy with 400k + dps gun to clear it for them.
For real or they don’t shoot the things that spawn around his back and he enters his berserk faze. or they don’t shoot the weak spots or don’t stagger. Often times I find myself doing most of the work.
Tbh not enough people talk about it. People will be still stuck on the Devourer bc of the healing 😂

The issue is more of they don't tell you what to do and its not intuitive. The Pryo Coloss takes reduced gun damage so upgrading your gun doesn't help you kill the boss. You need to use skill damage but that is never explained and it isnt obvious to tell unless ur looking at numbers
There is a burn immune mod that you can find in the mission just before Pyro. It helps so much. People just don't try and max out and grind there builds before bosses. Or they build soooo wrong
Energy activators are on some of the amorphous materials drop tables, you can potentially earn them for free but it's a 3% drop rate assuming nexon isn't being nexon. Surprised not only him but Asmon as well didn't realize there was a free way to grind them.
I've gotten about 9 so far it's not too bad gotta shape them too
And 3% is kinda good in this game where you can just repeat multiple times, 3-5% is about 3-4 hour grinding so not that bad, I would even say that after reaching endgame you easily farm all the ultimates in a weekend, took me only a day to get the materials for ultimate Ajax
@@marceloxaustivo784 depends on your luck and what activities you're grinding. Defense missions have been misserable for me personally. A 3% chance locked behind a 20 or 25% chance can get really bad if RNGesus doesn't bless you.
But activators aren't too bad, some easily grinded ones in hard that give 6% drop chance too, 10% if using an energy activator which have an okay chance of dropping as well in hard mode.
The early dungeons are for the speed runs in order to farm for energy activator
that second boss "beautitful lady" or whatever its called, was fun to fight

Picked this up with Helldivers II being deathly quiet. I've been rocking hand cannons as primaries and leveling Blair and Enzo. Can't wait to unlock others. It's something I can pick up, play, and put away without much thought or time investment since not racing towards endgame content or trying to min-max gear and builds. It hits that sweet spot to unwind with after work and being with the family.
I think the Helldivers model is near perfect: you pay for the game out of the box (granted, Helldivers was not quite AAA pricing, but close enough), and then you pay to unlock the new content faster. Super straightforward, and doesn't feel like a cash grab in any way.
That's exactly the model here, but f2p. You can play the entire game by grinding and playing it as an MMO. And you can pay to skip basically any part of it if you want to.
@@SleepyStreak except literally it's not. Helldivers doesn't feel inconvenient to farm the resources, and that seems to very much be the complaint with First Descendant.

@@SleepyStreak FR, I totally maxed my Ultimate Ajax without even spending a dime, the grind is EXTREMELY F2P friendly in this game and also fun because you can just repeat things multiple times, so 5% chance of drop is basically 2-3 hours farming instead of a month of dailies, dailies would totally kill this game if implemented

It's a solid 7.5, fun enough. Like a comfort food. It hits a perfect repeat niche not enough games can land as easy as it sounds.

definitely wish they would increase the number of people in a zone, 4 total feels a little low, sometimes you'll run into a quest thats quite difficult to solo but the other 3 people in the zone are farming an event over and over for a specific drop, so your only option is to teleport out and back in until you get people who are doing the quest your stuck on.
The first 2 hours of this game confused me so bad trying to menu and edit, but the second day after watching a basic begginer guide i get it
Complete opposite for me, I'm usually lost in games like this it pretty much guides you perfectly except for a few quests where you collect data logs. That was a Google for me.

Now imagine doing it solo... Pretty easy, actually, you just put them all down to low hp and finish off in quick succession.

@@thesun9210 Its funny that solo all of that gets way easier because of the scaling. Even with the bride boss, when I first encountered her it was pretty much impossbile in a group, bunnys would just be dying constantly, while dealing no damage, solo I melted her down without any problems.
A well placed ultimate can delete them in a second like bunny’s or Lepics ultimate, just requires some accuracy
I figured you had to wear each down and then pop them all each quickly in a short session.
Warframe monetization is actually pretty good, because you can grind and sell your stuff for premium currency. It does not take a massive amount of time, to make a bit of Platinum.

people buy prime junk to turn into ducats for when baro arrives
You can easily make up to 100 plat with a decent amount of prime junk
100 plat is enough for inventory space buying

this. anyone that complains that getting plat is hard is clearly just not knowledgeable about all the ways to earn plat. even if its 10p per sale thats 100p you didnt have at the start of the day(which is 5 forma, potatoes, etc). and if your luck is even better you could get a drop that sells for 100p off the rip(glaive prime main blueprint for instance)
To me it's the best monetization I've seen in a free to play so far. Well when I stopped playing 4 years ago.

I get that you can "farm" plat except it all still depends on other people spending money on plat in the first place. The whole economy is propped up by whales.

Game has lots of potential. I hope they add more character customization eventually.
For the monster spawns in missions a very simple fix would be: when you kill an entire patrol the next one spawns instantly or in 1-2 seconds. It would reward the player for having a strong build instead of it being on what I presume to be a timer.

It does exactly that. Dunno what this guy is on about. There is a delay of like, MAYBE 2-3 seconds for it to spawn the next wave of enemies. There was probably some random enemy in a corner one of his teammates shot 10 seconds later that triggered the next wave and this guy never pieced 2 and 2 together.
roaming enemies are kinda weird, like I get caught in the menu working on my build because a random group of 3-5 enemies spawns in any area around mission nodes, and can still spawn during a mission
That is what the random fast travel floating chair locations on the map are for! They are safe locations.
Is that not the case for most looter shooters?
@@seanjenkins4311 ig but usually its way more than just 3-5 and can call reinforcements. For this game, overworld still feels kinda dead/unpopulated even with the random 3-5 enemy spawn unless multiple players are in the area

22:49 the biggest problem I have is not that these items are 3% droprate. It’s the fact that for a majority of these pieces you have to go to the infiltration spot, hope somebody hasn’t cleared it, and then clear it for a 20% droprate of the amorphous material. Then you have to wait 5 minutes for it to come back. It could take 30-40 minutes to get 1 amorphous material. Then you have to take that to a void intercept and hope for the 3% drop. This system is really clunky and absolutely unfun to farm.
Want a solid big brain tip for outposts ? When they are near the exit and enter the map again. Will throw you into a new "instance" where it most likely is ready to be farmed again. At best you have those spot right next to a gate.

This is literally how it works in Warframe. You do 20 min defense or survival missions to get relics, then do a void mission for a chance to get the part you need
you farm the shaper not the amorphous material the shaper lets you pick what you want so that 3% is 100% its a 0.5 Chance but its much faster to farm
The monetization is generally accepted in warframe because the trading system imo. You can farm enough rare items to trade for premium currency, also the prices of the important items aren't even close in price

@@M_CFV Still depends on what they or they not allow to trade, WF's strongest plus is the player market is very well maintained by DE which made it absolutely easy to earn plat ingame, TFD needs to replicate that.
here's the thing most players especially new, don't actually engage in trading. and de refuses to do any sort of quality or life towards it . wonder why $$$$
@Phillipmurr they don't need to do any quality of life improvements. It's the best f2p system around. Not many, if at all, other games, allow you to trade it's in game paid for currency among other players.
The items you need to increase your mod capacity and polarize the mod slots, you can grind for in a fraction of a time.
And it's soooooo much cheaper. Like, leagues cheaper. And they regularly give them out for free for doing certain quests than anyone can do.
There's no comparison. DE's monetization is great for them and great for us.
the only real problem I have with the crafting is that every descendant needs materials from very late in the game. I still cant do the void thing in kingston because all my descendants are the wrong element. and all the ones I look at need stuff from the last zone or 2nd to last

Void stuff is more late game grinding. You're not really expect to do those early game. But if you feel the need to do them now, you can go to a non-attribute pillar with a non-attribute character and earn all 4 types of void consumables at the same time.

Fyi, the 7 meters you move also calculates vertical move so double jumping constantly while moving will give you more pulses with less horizontal movement
There is a module you equip on purple weapons that for every X regular ammo you get, you get 1 bonus purple ammo.
Such a huge mod I put this on yesterday lol
That's assuming you can find regular ammo. They drop so much orange and green ammo, but I'm always out of regular ammo.

Gley here. I can solo up to hard devourer. So, hard pyro and under you don't even need a team lol apart from hangman because mechanics.

as someone who playes warframe actively the grind is faster in first descendant. i mean just to get another suit you have to wait 2 days for it to be done while here its only 16 hours. also the drop rate for the pieces is still really really low as well although i dont recall the exact percentage. i do remember though as f2p you start with only 2 suit slots and a tiny inventory much much smaller than what first descendant has.

Yeah I really do like that. I have kept around some really cool guns because of that. To its credit, the art team knocked it out of the park with TFD. The character art and weapon designs are absolutely gorgeous. The building architecture is also really cool looking. It's unfortunate that the level design itself is horribly uninspired and completely unremarkable though.
Yup, though much remember to reset the stats on it though. They don't scale when you level them up

I think it is actually easier to get the mats needed to upgrade in this vs warframe. The drop rate seems a little lower in this, but the less confusion on how things work makes up for it

Hear me out: to get a blueprint, you need to get specific amorphous material which have a chance to drop in one specific mission, then you have to open it through one specific void reactor. But you cannot use void reactor because it requires 12 shards and you only get 1 per destoroyed void fragment. And even then it's only 15% chance
so, to get this one single blueprint, you need to farm one specific material for hours on one specific mission with a cooldown, then go farm void fragments for hours to launch void reactor (one shard per mission, you need 12 to open 1 material), then you launch void reactor, defeat mini boss and get a chance to open your material. And then it's 15% chance to drop what you need
it's DAYS of grind for one single weapon component. And not only grind, but in the same 1-2 missions over and over
of course they won't force grind onto you in early game, it will just lead to you quitting. They will start doing it when you have already invested time and possibly money, when you are less likely to quit

it's DAYS of grind for one single weapon component. And not only grind, but in the same 1-2 missions over and over
of course they won't force grind onto you in early game, it will just lead to you quitting. They will start doing it when you have already invested time and possibly money, when you are less likely to quit

You will get mods that convert 1 ammo type into other ammo types so you WILL be able to use that sniper more... but considdering how much damage those weapons can do I think it makes sense that they made that ammo sparse.
Its because the heavy ammo has innate more damage, thats why when you search for "dps" most of the time the purble ammo ones shows first. If purple ammo was everywhere like the gray and orange ones no one would use them appart for aplying status effects then using solely the purple for dps. I use a grey ammo machine gun for dps and when i need a burst of damage quickly i switch to my shotgun witch has almost 100% more dps but when the ammo is gone its gone and probably wont drop during the boss fight again.
@dheyvidoliveira3358 I mean Enzo has two abilities that give all ammo types to his team, issue is as an Enzo main it's really difficult to progress in the game without a duo unless you use a different character. But he's not a character people seem to like to level up.

For the time it was. Such a shame the studio released that "2050" version which was just a re-release to keep the game from dying. Then it died.
Ultimately simple but yeah it was a decent game.
When I shot the “handcannon” and it sounded like a toy nerf gun I was immediately disappointed.
Blame the people who complained in the beta saying it was "too loud" and even then I just watched a video of a guy complaining the gun shots are too loud. No matter how they do it people will complain.
It's great that there is no dynamic scaling.
The reason you are leveling up and getting better gear is to be stronger, feel stronger. Not to always take same time to kill random mob A because due to dynamic scaling his hp/defence is rising along with your damage output 🤣
Yup XD that boss crysis octopus/ceph feels so annoying even sometimes buggy always shielding, balls always show up until players including me quit the dungeon.

Replace spawning waves with instant spawns on mission start, buff enemy health and make them take shelter so they are harder to hit. When it feels like you have to hunker down at times and clear a section of enemies before being able to move on would be amazing.
Love the game. Excited to see future updates. Wouldn't mind some QoL changes or advanced movement options. Curious what the " mega dungeon " is. Raid maybe?
Quick heads up in case you do want to play the game more: There is a gley build that pretty much gives you infinite ammo, even the purple ammo. it allows you to shoot launchers without reloading for as long as you use your skill which you can build to have no cooldown.
Biggest problem with this is the massive investment required to do it.
@knight wrong. Vestigial organ, and 5-7 seconds of her 3rd ability is all you need. Don't bother with her first red mod either, it's worse to have on.
@@knightsanddragons2395 It's the first build I did and tbh, it's one of the easiest builds in the game to do. Requires basically nothing but purples that you'll mostly get just by beating the story, and you can get the build online before you even finish the story. Literally harder to unlock Gley in the first place.
There is scaling in the game btw.. its in the normal and hard mode, in open world or with the collossi.
You notice this on normal mode, where enemies are not 1 shot from everything, once a 2nd person join they have significantly more hp.
The collossi only have 2 hp pools, solo and 4 players, once a player loses connection you basically can restart.
I only got 1 of the mod max increasing items. How do you get another? I'm at story mode final boss, not sure where I missed it. No side quests.
The ball phase in that mission... No issues previously in my gaming group formed squads. Zero communication needed. We all figured it out immediately... I did a public squad earlier today, and one guy kept shooting them out of order. I'd wipe out the left one, almost be done with the right one, and the guy has been shooting the middle/top one breaks it just seconds before I finish the right one... Boom. Phase resets... I don't think they need to remove it because the balls spawn in showing you the order but maybe they need to add dialogue there if the team breaks them incorrectly. Maybe the Guide could say "Does the order they appear in mean something?". Anything for the players who are brain dead when playing... XD Otherwise I am enjoying this game a lot. There are some mechanics in the game that aren't properly explained like the vaults which also need a fix. There definitely is a progression speed issue. Even with the 30% boosts they gave us leveling feels slow, and progress feels sluggish in general. Leveling up a gun takes forever which is going to suck when I need to level up blue weapons. They also copied Warframe a bit too close on crafting. Sure. Put a crafting time on the pieces but assembling the gun should be instant. It's literally just assembling the parts that already exist. Why would that take HOURS to do? xD I am loving this game though. Is it perfect? No. But it's a game that I feel is important to be successful to hopefully get gaming back on course.

The dye: You get one dye, it paints that whole armor, not just one piece. Also, it is always there for that armor, you can remove/re-add that same dye. However, it's locked to only that one skin, so still not great.

Bruh. I got the ring piece from Oluns after about 70 hrs. Spread tf out of course. And I wasn't even aware of it. I wasn't going for it at all because they're just ridiculous.
And I still had people in guild mad af about it. Mainly because I wasn't aware of how rare it is and bow they say I HAVE to finish it because it's the hardest part to get.
Not enough people talk about the fact that in a looter shooter game, the cosmetics are literally a massive part of the endgame. How you look is a progression system in and of itself, if that doesn’t change as you play, these games become incredibly stale.
In a game like this, wanting to look cooler is a massive incentive in keeping you playing, you want to be the baddest looking mf in the social space, and so the worst possible thing that games like this can have is micro transactions that almost completely lock cosmetic progression behind a real world pay wall.
In a looter shooter cosmetic need to be obtainable in the game itself, it’s unique from almost every other kind of online game in this aspect…if you’ve got to pay real world money to look better, nothing in the game matters.
At the very least they could change the base appareance some when you level mastery
You say that but Warframe's fashion endgame is still literally all microtransaction based and it's done very well for itself so it defeats your whole point. Everything from shoulder pads to helmets to even the colors you can use is monetized in that game. The endgame is just grinding mastery and rolling for god tier RNG raven mods. Not saying cool cosmetics shouldn't be earnable in game though, just that it very obviously doesn't make or break a game like you seem to think it does. Well, it might make or break it for you anyway.

You can just earn the premium currency by farming stuff and trading/selling them to other players for that exact premium currency. Yes, it's grindy, but it is possible to hit a jackpot with those parts and sell them for a hefty price.
@@asmodus4744 Not at all. Especially with how easy it is to get plat in Warframe without spending a dime but this garbage system requires you to pay each time you use a color. At least in Warframe if I buy a color its perma unlocked, in this game I pay and then have to pay again if I want to use the color again.
well in warframe you could at least with a some effort (and a 3rd party website for easier DM's) find someone that will buy your blueprint parts, and with what you make on that technically could buy new frames

Dyes are single use but when you use a dye on a costume the dye is unlocked permanently for that costume. So if you unlocked all of the dyes for a costume you could swap between colors at will, for free, on that specific costume. The dye doesn't just "disappear" completely. Makes me wonder if he even dyed anything or just made an assumption.
the worst part about the balls is when i need to shoot balls for 3 min because they have 1 mil hp each and has immunity 90% of the time. Or even worse when a teamate doesnt break in the right order or breaks one earlier then the others reseting the balls and depleating your ult and weapon ammo

yea personally I think a big thing for me is the fact that you can trade the premium currency in warframe with other people. It takes some time ofc, but you can actually buy yourself premium cosmetics without spending a dime

And not even talking about all the BIS legacy equip, lack of transparency, never listen to the player base and always have a plan to milk the money

There's a governement plan that was passed in 2020 to make Korean games better to dominate the market, the question is if The first descendant was in it. Cuz so far Stellar Blade is doing really well and the Korean Sims game is also coming as well as the korena pokemon game.
I like The First Descendant, I don't mind if Nexon tricked people with a 1% drop once. All these companies have done things, name one that doesn't have a history of something? Dragon's Dogma 2 started CTD:ing for when I got to Vern and by then I couldn't even refund it. I will still play capcom games but I'm gonna be very cautious. Nexon hasn't done anything to anger me yet.
You do you though, but if you need companies where you feel you can trust them to 100%, there won't be many games for you to play. Especially not online games.

Played about 40 hours now and enjoying the game thoroughly. Taking my time not rushing to end game and trying out lots of different characters and builds. Game has a lot of potential as long as they continue to update I'll be playing for at least a few months maybe the rest of the year
FYI, drop rates are higher in hard mode making it easier to get more descendants the stronger you are.

Bro Pyro showed me a lot of players got carried through the game cause geez. I’m sitting there doing everything like shooting the flies so he doesn’t go enraged early grappling to stagger him shooting his weak spots with a tamer with chill damage. Meanwhile my teammates are all the way on the other side of the room fight adds or shooting nowhere near his weak point.

The 3% drop rate itself isn't too bad but when you have to wait 5 minutes between each run then it just gets annoying

Bro what are you doing that you gotta wait 5 minutes? Hold F2 to look at the mission summary and hold R to replay. If you memorize spawns not a single mission in this game takes longer than 30 seconds to a minute. Then you can play on hard mode for double drop rates, AND equip items to increase drop rates. The grind on this game is actually far more forgiving than most MMOs.
enemys do spawn natural and move in camps before missions start, i get caught of guard so often emptying my inventory and getting shot by a small troop doing lookout but i do agree it should feel a bit more alive
also the balls when people have good cards and stuff and good builds aren't even a problem, it is when people don't have enough damage going out and he respawns them

Something great in Warframe asides from being able to trade for platinum (premium currency) is the 75% off you can get for logging in, you have 2 days to buy any platinum with that discount. So the highest plat pack goes down to 45-ish € when the full price is 180€. So NEVER buy plat at full price, you can also get 20% and 50% off but I'd wait for the 75%.
You probably wont need to buy plat ever again unless all you do is buy cosmetics.
I hope the first descendant does something similar to this, market competition is great.
To be fair, the game did just come out so hopefully in later updates, they make the areas feel more alive with more enemies and fix these issues, hopefully
Boss has 3 cups. He shows you the right one to shoot first, and then shuffles them. Which one is it? Who knows😮 (not new players fs)
Actually after doing a quest solo where i had to do the final boss like this, they don't shuffle. They keep the same order. So you can finish it via process of elimination. Which doesn't help ofc if some high damage team mate keeps killing the wrong orb.
It's fun, only 2 complaints: lags on homeworld with occassional crashing.. (probably due to server load) and then the area maps being so buggy/slow in regards to cursor movement (probably just havent found setting for it)

@@nitrium6599I have a 4090 and i913900k. Had problems like that but just have to miss with the p-core ratio and turned off some bios settings and it hasnt crashed on me once and no stutter at all. It runs pretty fucking nice. That’s why I’m still playing it lol
