    THANK YOU this is exactly what i need. I want so badly to just *KNOW* where to put my volumetric highlights. It's like some magical knowledge. Ive tried taking a pic under light, but that is too realistic and the light is not in scale. I want to know how to just KNOW where to place my highlights. Ive watched every video possible about how to highlight spheres, cylinders, flats. I dont want to just copy a guide and follow exactly where someone else put the highlights i want to learn how to develop the SKILL required to value sketch properly... it frsutrates me to no end and it makes me too damn hesitant to even attempt it thinking i will ruin my models. :((((
