I started playing Warmane during covid and its literaly my first wow experience. I turned into addiction as I never felt the sociap dept of this game, and warmane is stable and bugless enough to be able to offer it. I hated with all my heart sm buyers and pvp multiboxers but today I realize the servers are maintained by people who have to eat... So far Warmane is bae, and the owners of it have never led any woman to suicide.
I started 2 days ago after watching your vid and am having a blast, legit feel like a kid playing WoW again with the amount of players and activity going on. I cancelled my retail sub 3 months ago and could not be happier I found the Warmane server! Cheers mate!

I have enjoyed Warmane as a casual Since I only have a couple hours a week to play, it is the only viable version of Wow I can bother with I see all the hardcore players always raiding but that just isn't me anymore Have fun!
I've been playing on Warmane (Lordaeron) now for 3 years. The only negative thing I have to say is- since the game is free, RDF is a complete roll of the dice. You'll find great players. But you'll also find players (even at level 80) that still have not bothered to learn the mechanics of the game and cause wipes. They don't manage mana, they don't CC, they don't LoS, don't use cooldowns, don't buff, stand in AoE, etc. Most of the time they are the same one complaining that we wipe. Many times they just came from retail and want to tell you that they've played for several years and know what they're doing....all in recent expansions where mana management, professions, etc. didn't matter anyways and dungeons were just a matter of sitting back and button jamming. Oh....and the robot chicken is still bugged. That's my second complaint. Other than that, Warmane has been great.
@@purelucknoskill5158 there is one realm with 2-8k population where cash shop is disabled, u can buy only cosmetics but no p2w - Lordaeron. I suggest you strongly to check it out. Buffed bosses with no icc buff and other thingies.
I also discovered warmane so late, after playing retail since I was 8 years old I can definitely say that these 2 months of warmane were better than the last 3 retail expansions combined.
It's the expansion wotlk for me. It was the most popular expansion of WoW I played there so many hours while it was on retail. I didn't slept nights and go to the school on the next day. Best menories of gaming for me.
On warmane i have account with full geared warrior, that i dont play for more than 7 years. And let be honest, Wotlk isnt fun anymore. Legion, BFA was just great and i have best memories from them. Its like, old boomers dont like the "quick" side of new wow. They're slow, mythic dungeons are hard and raiding ends after normal mode. Everyone talking about golden ages from Wotlk, yeah, like what? Farming Frost Orbs, ToC and then blast ICC raid and end? Its nostalgia, like was classic/vannila same with TBC. Remember guys, new wow isnt bad, just because u are stuck in 3.3.5a patch. I mean now its 9.1.5 and that means u skipped 5 DLC from game, its understandable that its feel strange. Guys i loved WOTLK so much, on retail and 7 years ago on Warmane, but its over. Playing same content over and over again and saying that is fun... no it isnt.

I had two major problems with Warmane's Icecrown when I leveled on it from 1 to 80, the store is 100% pay 2 win, you can buy basically anything with real life money, and the second thing is I rarely encountered people who spoke English, and if they did it was very broken English.
There's tons of people that speak English the thing is most of icecrown's population is people from Europe tons of different countries and nationalities and you can't expect everyone to be confident in speaking English properly as for the store every game has it retail wow has it people have to make money to keep stuff up that's how the world works... Deal with it or leave.

Well, it's a nice server I agree. They used to be Molten-Wow and I had like 8 chars almost full bis + donated for some items and still got deleted after playing so many years on their server XD sadly
Not gonna lie compared to classic wow its really similar. ALOT of people including myself brought gold did gdkps got fully geared in less than a month on multiple characters, so it's kinda the same tbh no matter where you go

I've played this server back when it was named "Molten Core" and I am so shocked that it is still standing strong till this day. Oh hell, it was bug fest every where xD I even remember back then where they had to migrate every players data because I think they were compromise of some sort and that's why they had that "Back up" option. Now playing it again in this server. Damn... no more bs bugs, though only minors bugs of some sort here and there.
Been playing on Warmane since early 2016 and Arena Tournament since 2012. I really appreciate your content and bringing awareness to these servers; They have been so much fun (best expansion in wow imo) and as you said are well-run by the Warmane team. Keep it up!
Warmane is definitely not a playable server and not Lordareon at all. As soon as you reach level 30, your journey ends automatically. Full of "brain dead" players who are able to invest 8 hours of time killing new players, killing fly NPCs, quest givers and more. When it comes to "end-game content" like HC dungeons or raids - everything is pretty broken. The boss mechanics don't work at all as they should and in the original WOTLK. A warrior as a tank is immortal in the ICC because it does not accept 80% of the damage from the bosses. The fact that you can basically buy everything in a shop located in Warmane does not even need to be discussed. In short - it's a classic pay to win server. Every item in the game can be bought, even Shadowmourne (€ 150). You can also buy a level 80 character. "Survival guide - buy everything in the shop and play broken end game content"
Realistic review of warmane (all servers). You will get ganked by level 80s throughout your entire leveling experience. 90% of the populatiom doesnt speak english. Once you hit 80, gearing is almost impossible. Everyone just needs on everything, regardless if they can use it or already have it, etc. Multiple zones are completely unplayable. Grizzly hills being the prime example. You get disconnected upon entering the zone. End game raids are a joke unless you happen to get into a guild that isnt 3rd world bots. You get into a pug, kill the boss, then get kicked from the raid so you cant roll on loot. Overall the game isnt terrible if you're just there for nostalgia. Open world farming amd questing (in the zones that actually work) is solid. Anything group based is an absolut nightmare.
That's simply not true mate, I have been in 5+ English-speaking guilds on both Lordaeron and Icecrown in the span of a year, people very often get banned for a few days up to 2 months for ninja-looting in dungeons/raids as well, I have 500 hours played and never been kicked out of a pug, the only truth in your statement is that you are gonna get ganked a lot in some of the leveling zones on the Icecrown server (in Lordaeron it's pretty chill and you can enjoy the leveling) and that the chat is full of non-english advertisements, but you can definitely find a lot of english ones as well. Pretty sure you overexaggerated a lot of the stuff you mentioned.

Played Warmane for years and although it is extremely popular I couldn't get past the Elites that the server suffers from. If you are a pretty fresh 80 and have the minimum Ilvl for heroics, they will still kick you. They want geared people for rdf heroics. Happens to me every time..they see my Ilvl then boot me before even starting the dungeon.
I play on Lordaeron (amazing realm) and its the best private server. I dont understand the complains about comunity there is a lot of good guys that will help you anytime, there is also a lot of good guilds. I wander almost a year for the devastated lands of private servers, but i finaly found a place to rest and rise my kids.
I've been getting a little interested in Warmane since Dalaran WoW has such low population nowadays, but I don't think I could ever play on a server where you can literally buy all the gear on the store. That takes away the fun of grinding if others can buy it.
the only bug, huh? xd warrior bleed effect stacks in damage, which is not blizzlike and actually ends up as their highest damage output, even above their white swings, which is why most warriors run a crit trinket(skull) over an ARP trinket nowadays. and the bleed scales with weapon damage, like SM in and on itself wasnt busted enough, warrior have a bugged talent that scales with the SM weapon damage, which is above any other HC melee weapon. but why fix the class that makes u the most money to have a balanced server/experience for the players lmao. pets basically get 1shot by warriors and healers struggle keeping them alive even with the 30% damage reduction and HOT effect of health funnel. a 2.6k mmr hunter told me that exotic pets also deal less damage than they should, which i cant tell. cheat death seems to bug, too. the melee swings through walls when trying to pillar them for a restealth as rogue etc is kind of bad, too. but i guess since scripting is a thing, all of that doesnt really matter too much in the end. so classes that dont profit the server wont get their fixes/buffs while classes they profit from and are unbalanced wont get fixed cause it's losing money.

its a p2w server with toxic community but also some nice guys, only problem its the biggest pserver and will stay cause nobody wants to play on a dead wotlk p server again + the scripting isn`t bad.
been playing on warmane/arena tournament/molten/abyssal wow since 2009. ive been around since the start and have achivements to prove it. the server is ok, if u havent tried it u shud. for someone as old as me its just very played out.

Nah mate you can find so many guilds and they're progressing in icc 25 dynamic . So you can get your items and Achievements like kingslayer and bane of the fallen king
Nah bro I joined this server with my warrior and after I was 80 I get in a guild they pulled me trough ICC NH then 25 NH the week after it we started heroic and I had a GS of 5.1 now im close to 6k
I personally don't think warmane is pure p2w game. I''m here since 2017 and i was able to gear up multiple characters to bis or near bis gear, collect more than 9k achiev points on one character and get loads of coins via selling golds which i get by playing a game. Normally I'm pretty forgiving of cash shop stuff in Private servers. Gotta keep the servers on somehow after all, but being able to buy gear is just a step too far for me. Some examples of cash shop items I've seen that I don't have an issue with are: XP boosts, Mounts, Tabards, Toys, Pets, and race/faction changes. but for the most part there's no competitive advantage to using those aside from just getting to max level faster, or not having to grind up as much gold, which are relatively minor in terms of skill investment to power rewards. I was actually considering just joining this one regardless of my desire for a decently sized, hopefully new-ish TBC server. I think I'll just keep looking. There's bound to be a forever TBC project soon. I can't be the only one who thinks the game peaked there. Granted, I never really raided in either of those expacs, but I'd rather go back to TBC to do it right this time. Just like Classic, but without giving money to Blizzard so they can charge me $15 a month, and still include store mounts and level boosts.
At least all the items can be obtained in the game as normal, yes you can get gear faster from shop. But at least warmane doesn't have what some private servers have "Donor specific custom gear" which only donors could have and was brokenly op.
I play Lordaeron since 2018 and Icecrown since 2019, because Lordaeron is dead at night i play more Icecrown, community its really good if you ignore toxic players, also kill LK on Lordaeron is hard as fuck xd good video! And really good choice for who loves WOTLK!
One thing worth mentioning is dont get your hopes up for wintergrasp nostalgia, whilst I’ve had some truly epic moments there, it’s usually a domination by multiboxers

Warmane also has a progressive server (Frostmourne) where in the end of a progression, your toons will be transfered to the Icecrown realm, and Frostmourne will reset.
Just the cash shop killed it for me.. on retail you can buy gold yes but not gear or weps or really overpowered wep.. paying someone to get rank 14 means the guy didn’t play his account much till he got rank 14 so like isn’t that months later? Not the best comparison but then again I don’t play retail anymore and I don’t do the loot box games either.. rather play somewhere that you know someone grinded for their gear not throw out some cash and then are bis

If you aren't that much into farming PvP gear there's Blackrock where you get an instant 80 with solid gear. And yeah, there are some PvE trinkets that are basically essential for the arena
Accept the truth: If you do not spend money in the shop you will have a hard time in any form of PvP. I have encountered at times 10 shadowmourne players in a single BG. For PvE all the guilds have exuberate demands on a persons GS so it is difficult to join end game raids and nobody does Naxxramas, Ulduar, OS... The people on the server are toxic, not very helpful. They will point out every single of your mistakes or complain about your low GS. If they could they would drown you in a teaspoon of water. YES the Warmane servers have a high population... but at what cost? Pay 2 Win is a real thing on Warmane, I have never seen it more clearly on any other private server before. If you do not plan on spending money on this game, I would recommend you stay away, or you will get stumped into the ground from low lvls by twinks in starting areas from the enemy faction.

Gnev, if u are old player, prob u can farm ez gold and sell ( as i do) and them buy items with this coins, so u actually its not a necesarry to invest alot money, i farmed sm in like 2 and half months by selling gold. If u try to do with Quest and Sfs farm it can take half year :)
Servers are too old and there is noting to do. So people turn to griefing. It's noting new. Been playing since 2017. Although you'll find griefers in every server.
if ive played specifically Death knight on retail since cataclysm and it is the only class the i want to play in both pvp and pve will i enjoy DK on warmane? i want to be able to practice the class before wotlk classic comes out. good vid ty for the help!
Currently playing on this server.. Went from shadowlands, to valorant, to Runeterra, lost ark.. Couldn't stay hooked.. Tried this pvt server and i'm sold. I had a predisposition about pvt servers and how they will just never feel like the real thing, but after an hour I realized that it felt more like WoW than retail WoW has felt in the past 8 years. There's people swarming around every quest zones and the community is so REAL. And what's great is that it feels even more social now, it could be because i'm older but the community on this server feels different. For example, i'll show up to a guy solo killing a quest mob, and HE will stop and invite ME, to allow me to get the credit, this has happened at numerous occasions. I have so many friendly interactions like this on this server and it just feels like the real deal, i'm SO excited to progress. If you were looking for something to push you onto this server, let this be it.
This is definitely a great review. I just joined warmane a week ago after quitting retail. Been having fun even by just leveling my toons.

Its reseting buy you dont lose your progress , you can transfer characters to Icecrown after the season ends , personally i prefrer season realms.

Oh hell, it was bug fest every where xD I even remember back then where they had to migrate every players data because I think they were compromise of some sort and that's why they had that "Back up" option. Now playing it again in this server. Damn... no more bs bugs, though only minors bugs of some sort here and there.
Been playing on Warmane since early 2016 and Arena Tournament since 2012. I really appreciate your content and bringing awareness to these servers; They have been so much fun (best expansion in wow imo) and as you said are well-run by the Warmane team. Keep it up!

Warmane is definitely not a playable server and not Lordareon at all. As soon as you reach level 30, your journey ends automatically. Full of "brain dead" players who are able to invest 8 hours of time killing new players, killing fly NPCs, quest givers and more.
When it comes to "end-game content" like HC dungeons or raids - everything is pretty broken. The boss mechanics don't work at all as they should and in the original WOTLK. A warrior as a tank is immortal in the ICC because it does not accept 80% of the damage from the bosses.
The fact that you can basically buy everything in a shop located in Warmane does not even need to be discussed. In short - it's a classic pay to win server. Every item in the game can be bought, even Shadowmourne (€ 150). You can also buy a level 80 character.

I miss their Deathwing server tho (4.3.4 Cataclysm). Lots of people hate on Catac but Warmane made me like it

Realistic review of warmane (all servers).
You will get ganked by level 80s throughout your entire leveling experience.
90% of the populatiom doesnt speak english.
Once you hit 80, gearing is almost impossible. Everyone just needs on everything, regardless if they can use it or already have it, etc.
Multiple zones are completely unplayable. Grizzly hills being the prime example. You get disconnected upon entering the zone.
End game raids are a joke unless you happen to get into a guild that isnt 3rd world bots. You get into a pug, kill the boss, then get kicked from the raid so you cant roll on loot.
Overall the game isnt terrible if you're just there for nostalgia. Open world farming amd questing (in the zones that actually work) is solid. Anything group based is an absolut nightmare.

That's simply not true mate, I have been in 5+ English-speaking guilds on both Lordaeron and Icecrown in the span of a year, people very often get banned for a few days up to 2 months for ninja-looting in dungeons/raids as well, I have 500 hours played and never been kicked out of a pug, the only truth in your statement is that you are gonna get ganked a lot in some of the leveling zones on the Icecrown server (in Lordaeron it's pretty chill and you can enjoy the leveling) and that the chat is full of non-english advertisements, but you can definitely find a lot of english ones as well.
Pretty sure you overexaggerated a lot of the stuff you mentioned.

Played Warmane for years and although it is extremely popular I couldn't get past the Elites that the server suffers from. If you are a pretty fresh 80 and have the minimum Ilvl for heroics, they will still kick you. They want geared people for rdf heroics. Happens to me every time..they see my Ilvl then boot me before even starting the dungeon.

I play on Lordaeron (amazing realm) and its the best private server. I dont understand the complains about comunity there is a lot of good guys that will help you anytime, there is also a lot of good guilds. I wander almost a year for the devastated lands of private servers, but i finaly found a place to rest and rise my kids.
Most toxic players i met are from retail. On warmane everyone tried to help others

I've been getting a little interested in Warmane since Dalaran WoW has such low population nowadays, but I don't think I could ever play on a server where you can literally buy all the gear on the store. That takes away the fun of grinding if others can buy it.
Well it's your own experience. If others buy so be it. Me personally i play without buying but i used to pay around 10$ to skip the queue at night.
If warmane couldn't sell pve and pvp gear would be the best server out there

warrior bleed effect stacks in damage, which is not blizzlike and actually ends up as their highest damage output, even above their white swings, which is why most warriors run a crit trinket(skull) over an ARP trinket nowadays.
and the bleed scales with weapon damage, like SM in and on itself wasnt busted enough, warrior have a bugged talent that scales with the SM weapon damage, which is above any other HC melee weapon.
but why fix the class that makes u the most money to have a balanced server/experience for the players lmao.
pets basically get 1shot by warriors and healers struggle keeping them alive even with the 30% damage reduction and HOT effect of health funnel.
a 2.6k mmr hunter told me that exotic pets also deal less damage than they should, which i cant tell.
cheat death seems to bug, too.
the melee swings through walls when trying to pillar them for a restealth as rogue etc is kind of bad, too.
but i guess since scripting is a thing, all of that doesnt really matter too much in the end.
so classes that dont profit the server wont get their fixes/buffs while classes they profit from and are unbalanced wont get fixed cause it's losing money.

its a p2w server with toxic community but also some nice guys, only problem its the biggest pserver and will stay cause nobody wants to play on a dead wotlk p server again + the scripting isn`t bad.

4:00 Disagree. While people would still find a way to pay for their gear (buying gold and spending it on gdkps etc), creating an official process for it just makes the problem far worse. But I don't mind since Lordaeron exists so there's a non-P2W server available.

Nah mate you can find so many guilds and they're progressing in icc 25 dynamic . So you can get your items and Achievements like kingslayer and bane of the fallen king

Nah bro I joined this server with my warrior and after I was 80 I get in a guild they pulled me trough ICC NH then 25 NH the week after it we started heroic and I had a GS of 5.1 now im close to 6k
You just need to find a guild who knows that you can play and don't troll in the raid

Biggest problem I ran into is dungeon groups are extremely hard to hold together leveling up, I had it to lv56 and quit. Turtle wow is better
I personally don't think warmane is pure p2w game. I''m here since 2017 and i was able to gear up multiple characters to bis or near bis gear, collect more than 9k achiev points on one character and get loads of coins via selling golds which i get by playing a game. Dedication is key to sucess :)

Normally I'm pretty forgiving of cash shop stuff in Private servers. Gotta keep the servers on somehow after all, but being able to buy gear is just a step too far for me.
Some examples of cash shop items I've seen that I don't have an issue with are: XP boosts, Mounts, Tabards, Toys, Pets, and race/faction changes. but for the most part there's no competitive advantage to using those aside from just getting to max level faster, or not having to grind up as much gold, which are relatively minor in terms of skill investment to power rewards.
I was actually considering just joining this one regardless of my desire for a decently sized, hopefully new-ish TBC server. I think I'll just keep looking. There's bound to be a forever TBC project soon. I can't be the only one who thinks the game peaked there. Granted, I never really raided in either of those expacs, but I'd rather go back to TBC to do it right this time. Just like Classic, but without giving money to Blizzard so they can charge me $15 a month, and still include store mounts and level boosts.
At least all the items can be obtained in the game as normal, yes you can get gear faster from shop. But at least warmane doesn't have what some private servers have "Donor specific custom gear" which only donors could have and was brokenly op.
I play Lordaeron since 2018 and Icecrown since 2019, because Lordaeron is dead at night i play more Icecrown, community its really good if you ignore toxic players, also kill LK on Lordaeron is hard as fuck xd good video! And really good choice for who loves WOTLK!

Only reason I've never played on Warmane, is that they don't have a PVE server.
One thing worth mentioning is dont get your hopes up for wintergrasp nostalgia, whilst I’ve had some truly epic moments there, it’s usually a domination by multiboxers

Warmane also has a progressive server (Frostmourne) where in the end of a progression, your toons will be transfered to the Icecrown realm, and Frostmourne will reset.
Just the cash shop killed it for me.. on retail you can buy gold yes but not gear or weps or really overpowered wep.. paying someone to get rank 14 means the guy didn’t play his account much till he got rank 14 so like isn’t that months later? Not the best comparison but then again I don’t play retail anymore and I don’t do the loot box games either.. rather play somewhere that you know someone grinded for their gear not throw out some cash and then are bis

If you aren't that much into farming PvP gear there's Blackrock where you get an instant 80 with solid gear. And yeah, there are some PvE trinkets that are basically essential for the arena

Accept the truth: If you do not spend money in the shop you will have a hard time in any form of PvP. I have encountered at times 10 shadowmourne players in a single BG. For PvE all the guilds have exuberate demands on a persons GS so it is difficult to join end game raids and nobody does Naxxramas, Ulduar, OS... The people on the server are toxic, not very helpful. They will point out every single of your mistakes or complain about your low GS. If they could they would drown you in a teaspoon of water. YES the Warmane servers have a high population... but at what cost? Pay 2 Win is a real thing on Warmane, I have never seen it more clearly on any other private server before. If you do not plan on spending money on this game, I would recommend you stay away, or you will get stumped into the ground from low lvls by twinks in starting areas from the enemy faction.

Gnev, if u are old player, prob u can farm ez gold and sell ( as i do) and them buy items with this coins, so u actually its not a necesarry to invest alot money, i farmed sm in like 2 and half months by selling gold. If u try to do with Quest and Sfs farm it can take half year :)
Guildmember did the SM quest and it takes likr close 9 months cause the shards never dropped xD

Warmane is filled with griefers, specially alliance. Almost impossible to level out in the world.
Servers are too old and there is noting to do. So people turn to griefing.
It's noting new. Been playing since 2017. Although you'll find griefers in every server.

Currently playing on this server.. Went from shadowlands, to valorant, to Runeterra, lost ark.. Couldn't stay hooked..
Tried this pvt server and i'm sold. I had a predisposition about pvt servers and how they will just never feel like the real thing, but after an hour I realized that it felt more like WoW than retail WoW has felt in the past 8 years. There's people swarming around every quest zones and the community is so REAL. And what's great is that it feels even more social now, it could be because i'm older but the community on this server feels different. For example, i'll show up to a guy solo killing a quest mob, and HE will stop and invite ME, to allow me to get the credit, this has happened at numerous occasions. I have so many friendly interactions like this on this server and it just feels like the real deal, i'm SO excited to progress. If you were looking for something to push you onto this server, let this be it.
Will you check out Atlantiss WotLK? It's probably coming out mid 2022
