Awesome interview, Steve gets wired when you bring up the record pressings, so interesting to hear these stories, lifetime fan of all the Danzig bands, youre helping peice together the history, important work man
Wow , archangel was written for the damned , I had no idea 🤔 the samhain DVD was filmed in California I think? Im a huge samhain fan , great interview , thank you very much 🤗
love your dark ride film channel...Steve Zing is a beautiful man..loves his children..great father (which is all that matters) great performer...Italians are THE BEST!!...could hear him reminisce for hours..Thank you!
@Dark Ride Films It's always awesome to hear intrviews from the other guys in Samhain. London did an interview with Eric Blair and Damian also gave a pretty in-depth interview a couple of years ago that's now on RUclips so it'd be great to see Eerie give his side of the story. In any case... very awesome interview. Steve Zing is a class act. Well Done!!
I remember Steve, still talk to him. He talks about his mom. God bless her soul, I remember her. She was awesome! Myself and some frends used to go jam in his apartment. We played ramones songs. we did record few things that have yet to be released. He was honing his skills as a producer. He was really relly good at producing at that time. I concur with steve with everything he said. we ran with the same crowd.
I remembered the first time I heard the Misfits was when we were hanging in Steve,s bedroom. Full drum set, walls painted black and he said hey you have to her this. It was "bullet" I was instantly hooked. thank you Steve.
Steve is great with the fans. He spoke to me briefly after a show. A genuinely nice human being.... Ha, ha, bad for a dark image in a band, but, it is true.
Great interview, you ask really good questions an the best part is you Don't interupt him when he's answering you, really enjoyed this . Just subscribed
I'm the only one I know who liked/likes SAMHAIN better than Misfits. We were all Thrash metal kids. Slayer fans. Then Metallica did those Misfits covers, then we found "The Decline Of Western Civilization" on VHS. And THEN someone came over with Initium. I was a punk rocker after that. SAMHAIN spoke to me from the start.
This is really cool. I hope you can get John Christ, Glenn and Chuck in the future. I know Chuck's gonna be waaaaaay harder, but you never know, Vinnie Vincent reappeared after decades of being MIA... And if Glenn's gonna take it easy in terms of recording and touring, maybe you can get him to do long interviews like this.
If this man digs up Chuck Biscuits I wouldn't even know what to say.Theres like one old 5 minute interview with him and his cereal collection video from Danzig 1 video and that's about all I know of.
@64:10 Strange how the original lineup for the 30th Anniversary - Samhain Tour "was not considered"... yet Glenn had at least tried to get 'Damien' back on guitar for the very first Reunion Tour back in 1999 (though he had to decline due to his scheduling conflicts with Iggy Popp).
You need to do more of these as theirs nothing like em on RUclips!. An Eerie Von, Bobby Steele, Googy, John Christ, or anyone connected to the MSD Universe!..
Great Interview! Straight Jersey Lodi answers right there. Former Bergen County resident here too. Saw Danzig at the NORVA a few times in Norfolk, VA. Great shows. That Eyeball video played during the show was freaky. No music inspiration lately, so did a funny on the keyboards instead. If Glenn Denzig was a cheesy synth pop singer: ruclips.net/video/uyUsIlPRKbc/видео.html
I'm fully aware of how the word is pronounced (I grew up 30 minutes from Salem,MA)...but the fact is the band went with how it's spelled...and modern culture uses it in the same way.....Halloween II from 1981....Sam from Trick r Treat.....and on and on.
@@thewaxmuseum yeah, being the super fan that your are, I figured you were aware. It's an age old argument between me and (usually) older punks about how it's pronounced. I did hear Glenn say Sam-hane himself at the reunion in Chicago at Riot Fest, tho LOL
I've always wondered, and I've never heard/read anyone talk about it, but...........did no one think it was weird that a 28 year old dude was hanging out with a bunch of 18 yr olds?
Probably the best interviewer to talk to these guys I've ever seen on here. Killer Job,Keep It Up.

Thank you so much for this guys.
Steve is still in / around NJ - got to speak with him recently, he's a good guy.
Steve's a cool guy.. He sold me one of his personal copies of Unholy Passion, which unfortunately I no longer own..
Nice job just straight up talk amongst some dudes w/no pretensions.
Got to meet Steve back in the day when Danzig got him to play bass. Got Steve and Glenn to sign my Initium album cover shirt. Great guy.
now thats a fuckin interview
Thank You!
Awesome video. These Interviews are great!
Any chance you’ll do more of these? It would be GREAT to see more guys from Mourning Noise, which is criminally underrated
There are plans to do something on Mourning Noise in the coming months =)
The Static Age awesome!
Tell those bastards to reissue the discography CD. That stuff should *not* be out of print.

Steve's not stupid his retirement is early unreleased Samhain songs and alternate Initium covers.

American Graffiti has possibly the best soundtrack ever. I listen to it all the time. 🍻

Thank You!
Steve gave me one of his bass guitars , my very first one.
I would like to have this interview in a transcribed version, like a fanzine :-) what a fucking awesome interview...
Thank YOU!!!
I'd love to see one with Bobby or Eerie!.
I want to hear those tapes.

There's an Eerie Von interview on this channel already.
Steve is such a cool guy
Those guys were'nt aware of the 80's Detroit punk band Son of Sam??? Lacy may have started Hillside Stranglers by then, but still...
VERY COOL DUDES ,DUDE.🇺🇸🇦🇷 👏🏻 🤘🏼

What's the story on that clean vocal track floating around anyway? Sound engineer at a studio or concert rip it?
which song is it?
What a humble guy and superbly talented as well.
I have know idea why, but he seems to really avoid naming a certain member of Samhain.
Zing's a good dude.
Very well done I have a question would Dark Ride Films like to be interviewed during a livestream on my channel?
Thank You!!! Once we have the new studio up and running that would be fun! =)
Dark Ride Films please let me know
I like Samhain better than The Misfits. I like both bands but like Samhain better. It was more deep music.
This was awesome!!!
Steve is the shit!!!
´ I am an ANti Chrrist !!!! And I´m an Anarchist ... `
Very cool interview. Another person who didn't get along with Eerie.
"SOW-in"
