you forgot one when Paramedic talks about that air mask Snake wear during the parachute jump it reminded her of the movie The Fly and the one when you wear the zombie face camo and call Sigint about it and Paramedic demonstrates what a zombie is and starts naming some zombie movies and the one when Snake calls Paramedic about Major Zero's codename Tom from the movie The Great Escape but Paramedic wasn’t interested in that film and she names other movies she likes.

>Para-Medic calls Godzilla 1954 mostly mindless fun >the very same movie which has an opening very similar to the Lucky Dragon No. 5 incident, and Godzilla’s rampage on Tokyo being eerily evocative of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki >also, bleak scenes with survivors in hospitals, including a child crying that her mother died, and another child getting cancer >and a scene before that which shows the child who lost her mother being held by her mother along with her sibling telling her that they’ll be with their father soon (who is implied to have died in World War II) >Dr. Serizawa then burns all notes on his secret weapon and decides to take himself with Godzilla so said secret weapon will not be abused by the military or the government I get calling the later ones “mindless fun” but Godzilla 1954 is one of, if not the most depressing kaiju film of all time. And is more like Grave of the Fireflies with a giant monster instead of a campy blockbuster.
I always liked that BB was really open-minded towards the ideas of invisibility and stealth-camouflage, but Solid Snake was very against it, not wanting to rely on it, like he had a base instinct for more traditional stealth written into his DNA or something.
Whenever someone asks me: "Have you ever seen the movie [x]?" I always think of these conversations, because much like Big Boss, I pretty much always haven't seen it.
MGS3 came out in 2004, when Godzilla: Final Wars was going to come out for Godzilla's 50th Anniversary. And they predicted that the original version of Gojira 1954 would finally get released in North America. Unfortunately, Final Wars would be Godzilla's last film until 2014 and Shin Godzilla. They did talk about videotapes and video games coming out in the future, but since they were talking about a 3D film, they forgot to predict the 3D TV and Blu-ray 3D fad. But VR was already present in the previous games which take place later.
“Snake have you ever seen Paddington?” “Can’t say I have…” “It’s about a little South American bear who moves to London to join a British family. Even though they don’t get along with him at first, he wins them over with his kindness and charm until he’s one of the family-It’s a very heartwarming film!” “Hnnrgh, learning to blend in an unfamiliar place…Maybe I could learn a thing or two from this movie!”

2:35 Snake is clearly in denial because Zero is embarrassing him in front of Para Medic. If she was still alive in The Phantom Pain he definitely would have recruited her to Diamond Dogs.
She was alive in '84. She was killed by Gray Fox in 2003 or 2004, after she abducted and experimented on him, I think for the US Government. and in '84 Big Boss hated her for stealing his blood and making clones to use as child soldiers.
“you think they’ll still be making Godzilla movies by then?” not only by then, but continuing onwards, meanwhile… no new mainline Metal Gear titles. I only hope they can give a hats off to Metal Gear in a future Godzilla movie.

How about Evolution of the Pistol in Metal Gear? from MSX Berettas to The Socoms and USPs mention the fact that MGS4/PW/V have millions of guns but focus on the main canon cutscene pistols like the Operator AM1dd and of course 1911 you can describe their functionality and obtainability to compare how lenient the game is in making the player have it. wheter it's an early drop or a mandatory "but that's not what i had on" during a cutscene situation i got the whole idea on my head but can't quite put it into words , just imagined something prioritizing every MSX weapon that carried over in the series by becoming a integral part of gameplay

Oh yeah, it’s Morbin’ time
Oh, if only Snake would've actually listened to the major when he warned him about getting seduced by enemy spies...
Oh Paramedic~, my childhood/preteen waifu
17 years and i still enjoy this? what a masterpece
Me: Snake, you ever heard of “The Fast & The Furious?”
@@adamuzumaki98 never
@@alwssofy7748 It’s a car racing movie with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.
@@adamuzumaki98 i know im fkn with u
@@alwssofy7748 Thanks, buddy.
Para-Medic: Be careful of fishmen.
Snake: Okay, but how they taste like?
Para-Medic: I should contact the fishmen to be careful of you.
Knowing Kojima's self asserted movie obsession, i'm 99% sure this was his idea lol
>tfw no paramedic gf
Why even live?
Why are we still here.. just to suffer?
Scattered my ashes to the cruel sea
"-Snake, ABOVE YOU -huh?!"
Can we just appreciate how PERFECT the voice actors are for these game, in particular?
Her voice just melts my heart and calms me down, every time.
"I love Japan!" -Paramedic
The War of the Worlds one always gets me. Not only because the history and legacy of the radio broadcast is interesting, but the idea the one time Snake teases Para-Medic about the one movie she never saw despite her saying otherwise.
18 years after operation snake eater, the thing was remade, and it's in my 3 favorite movies ever
1:15 oh you don't know snake
2:28 .....says the guy who eats everything, fights literal personifications of human emotions and has a thing for Santa Claus
I did some extra digging one day and one of the movies she talks about is a porno.
Visible AIDS which one?
Lord MoFo I don't think it is listed in the video but it's about Satan having a stripper party.
Visible AIDS
Obvious troll is obvious.
Salazar Alhazred nah, it's real. I read the Wikipedia article for it a few months ago.
Visible AIDS
Ok,i'll bite.
Sauce pls ?
Kojima really did crazy things with UI/UX. You gotta remember a 5 digit phone number to save and when you try he attaches 5 minutes of real life movie discussion to it
You have 6 armies behind you shooting, you reach an important part of the plot, you save so that it doesn't kill you.
Para-Medic: Have You Heard About Godzilla?
you forgot one when Paramedic talks about that air mask Snake wear during the parachute jump it reminded her of the movie The Fly and the one when you wear the zombie face camo and call Sigint about it and Paramedic demonstrates what a zombie is and starts naming some zombie movies and the one when Snake calls Paramedic about Major Zero's codename Tom from the movie The Great Escape but Paramedic wasn’t interested in that film and she names other movies she likes.
Why wasn’t there a snake shaped gun in any mgs games?
Naobi891 because naked snake has his own snake shaped gun if you catch my drift
Having your gun shaped like a snake gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever
Better a crossbow that shoots snakes
With Zero's love of Bond movies I'm surprised he didn't name the Patriot AI's after Bond villains or titles.
God, Snake and the Major were such good friends during this. If only one of them had actually talked to each other after the fact.
I think that para-medic's taste for movies was implemented after kojima's since "70%" of his body is made of movies .
...I'd really like to just save the game now Para-Medic
PARAMEDIC: Snake have you ever seen "the war of the worlds"?
Snake: Mmm nooo
PARAMEDIC: *realises she hasn't seen it, proceeds on random nerd rant to distract*
Snake: Soo....you haven't seen it?
PARAMEDIC: *Continues tangent*
PARAMEDIC: *Continues tangent*
PARAMEDIC: *Continues tangent*
PARAMEDIC: *Continues tangent*
Snake: So you haven't seen it?
PARAMEDIC: Don't you have a cardboard box to hide in?

MORBIUS MOMENT
I find it especially hard to believe that this sweetheart is meant to become a Patriot. That goes for the rest of the Operation Snake Eater crew.
>Para-Medic calls Godzilla 1954 mostly mindless fun
>the very same movie which has an opening very similar to the Lucky Dragon No. 5 incident, and Godzilla’s rampage on Tokyo being eerily evocative of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
>also, bleak scenes with survivors in hospitals, including a child crying that her mother died, and another child getting cancer
>and a scene before that which shows the child who lost her mother being held by her mother along with her sibling telling her that they’ll be with their father soon (who is implied to have died in World War II)
>Dr. Serizawa then burns all notes on his secret weapon and decides to take himself with Godzilla so said secret weapon will not be abused by the military or the government
I get calling the later ones “mindless fun” but Godzilla 1954 is one of, if not the most depressing kaiju film of all time. And is more like Grave of the Fireflies with a giant monster instead of a campy blockbuster.
Considering Para-medic created the cyborg ninja, It isn't surprising.
Para-Medic: Snake, have you seen 'Godzilla, King of Monsters'?
Snake: No,, *so how does it taste* ?
I always liked that BB was really open-minded towards the ideas of invisibility and
stealth-camouflage, but Solid Snake was very against it, not wanting to rely on it, like he had a base instinct for more traditional stealth written into his DNA or something.
Whenever someone asks me: "Have you ever seen the movie [x]?" I always think of these conversations, because much like Big Boss, I pretty much always haven't seen it.
waifu material
Yes
Guys I’m starting to think Kojima likes movies
MGS3 came out in 2004, when Godzilla: Final Wars was going to come out for Godzilla's 50th Anniversary. And they predicted that the original version of Gojira 1954 would finally get released in North America.
Unfortunately, Final Wars would be Godzilla's last film until 2014 and Shin Godzilla.
They did talk about videotapes and video games coming out in the future, but since they were talking about a 3D film, they forgot to predict the 3D TV and Blu-ray 3D fad. But VR was already present in the previous games which take place later.
Honestly these interactions are cute as hell
Snake doesn't like 007 movies.
The game music is 007 inspired.
_boy oh boy the irony,snake_
“Snake have you ever seen Paddington?”
“Can’t say I have…”
“It’s about a little South American bear who moves to London to join a British family. Even though they don’t get along with him at first, he wins them over with his kindness and charm until he’s one of the family-It’s a very heartwarming film!”
“Hnnrgh, learning to blend in an unfamiliar place…Maybe I could learn a thing or two from this movie!”
This was basically an excuse for Hideo Kojima to encourage young people to watch old movies… I’m not complaining.
"Just to make copies of me?"
OH MY GOD
0:27 "Maybe that's why my pants have been so tight lately..."
*OMG* I just got that joke after 15 years.
His trouser snake becoming "king of monsters" after Tselinoyarsk.
Fucking gold. 🤣🤣👏☠
"Snake, you've seen Naruto, right?"
*"It's my favorite anime, Para-medic."*
"So i don't need to tell you about it, right?"
*"Nope. Watched every season in about three weeks."*
"I'm proud of you, Snake. A real weeb."
Don't forget guys,Snake hate Morbius
Snake: Real spies are nothing like James Bond. See, this is what a real spy looks like! (wearing crocodile cap and Cold War camo)
“you think they’ll still be making Godzilla movies by then?”
not only by then, but continuing onwards, meanwhile… no new mainline Metal Gear titles.
I only hope they can give a hats off to Metal Gear in a future Godzilla movie.
Fistful is one of my favorite movies of all time i was so happy to see it referenced on my first play through a few months back
Para-medic: Snake, have you seen Dracula?
Snake just after get his eye shoot: nope
Para-medic: well I guess now you can see the half of it
Ha.
1:14 Snake “you think they’re still going to be making Godzilla movies then?”
Me in 2023 waiting anxiously to see Godzilla Minus One: Yes, Snake you troglodyte!!!!!
7:06 Here come the Morbius memes
I'm looking for new movies to watch and use Paramedic's recommendations as a "playlist" for the future.
Someday, I'll go through them all.
How about Evolution of the Pistol in Metal Gear?
from MSX Berettas to The Socoms and USPs
mention the fact that MGS4/PW/V have millions of guns but focus on the main canon cutscene pistols like the Operator AM1dd and of course 1911
you can describe their functionality and obtainability to compare how lenient the game is in making the player have it.
wheter it's an early drop or a mandatory "but that's not what i had on" during a cutscene situation
i got the whole idea on my head but can't quite put it into words , just imagined something prioritizing every MSX weapon that carried over in the series by becoming a integral part of gameplay
@6:56. "It's about an expedition that goes to the planet Altair-in an ultra-fast spaceship. They get turned around by security before they can land though; it's a forbidden planet."
20:38 lol
This line always cracks me up. 😂
“Didn’t you know? The Major is a huge James Bond fan. Don’t get him worked up like this.”
“Worked up?”
