That’s exactly what that car needs!
Same guy building an e39 wagon m5! You’re a dope dude my dude!
Perfect Setup 👌💯
I am guessing from the clips that there was no valve controller fitted / or the valves weren’t ‘forced’ open all the time. Half of your ‘valves open’ clips I believe are actually recordings of valves closed due to the stock PSE programming.
Yes, that is correct
Wow sounds great and yet when the wife is with you and valves can be kept closed so there won’t be any whining!!! Awesome!!! Any knowledge on whether there is a Hpw or torque increase? What is the weight savings?
Great video guys! It’s a shame that the stock valve programming is to stay closed during the middle of the rev range. Regardless it sounds great :)
Yeah, I agree. It makes it a little difficult at times to capture the difference. Cargraphic (along with some others) offers a valve control kit for true on/off.
Relatively easy installation too on the Cargraphic valve control unit if your handy. That alone makes a significant difference without any other modification. I would recommend starting with the valve control first and then work through the rest of the exhaust if you need more.
Hi which wing riser did you used?
following...
can hear that even in the 'open' position the car is shutting them 2-4k (ish)
Yeah, on this one there wasn't a valve controller installed so it was stock programming.
Still dividing the flow into two paths (just like the OPF can) so there is much rasp that cloaks exhaust harmonics. Badass but crude. Prefer badass and melodic.
Good video....I love Cargraphics, had their full system on my 981 GT4 and will probably go for their headers on the 718 but IMO keeping the canisters (even that they are hollow) doesn't seem like a good idea.
Wouldn't it be more efficient to just do a straight tube to minimize exhaust gas velocity loss?
Not so sure how this can also help on the exhaust tone since it has a muffler after.
My guess is that it looks more like stock so the Porsche dealer may not notice it
@@gilbertjiang1 It's for drone mitigation
Is this the clubsport/touring muffler? With all the pipes going through the center can? They had anither version with the h pipe behind the can but it was discontinued due to drone
Good sound!
Any increase in hp & torque? What is the weight savings?
Nice upgrade. Since you showed the stock with pipes open and closed, does that mean that "stock" was Porsche Sport Exhaust? (I didn't think you got the button to open and close pipes unless PSE was equipped)
Yes, it comes standard on the GT4. You don't have full control, it overrides it with programming in certain situations
Do you guys think it would be possible to fit turbos on the 6 cylinder 718’s? Really hard to find diagrams, videos, or pictures of this cars engine “bay”.
I'm sure it's possible but would need to run very low boost due to the internals. I think you could almost sneak some small ones in where the OPFs are but might need to do it further back. I'd imagine the TPC kit would work with a few modifications.
Of course you can. Where there is a will there is a way. May not apply to people. However this my friend is a car. You should be good to go.
Nice
Based on the shape of the cannister, it appears to be the touring, not the clubsport version of the cargraphic exhaust. Would you be able to confirm?
This does seem to be the touring based from its shape
Probably $6k with no noticeable change. Not worth it?
It's noticeable but a very conservative system. The client spec'd it this way, but it was worth it to him.
So, cleaner air for all humanity to breath vs slightly improved sound for my own personal pleasure.
Tough choice

All a matter of balance - removing a GPF pales into insignificance compared to the tons of c02 produced by air travel or the millions of tons of carbon produced by consumption of goods produced by coal-powered Far Eastern factories. Also the GPF in North American cars isn’t active anyway.
Mercuriell but if every individual made an effort instead of every individual trying to circumvent technology designed to reduce pollution, that would make a huge difference.
