Diversification of income is an absolute must in my book so I was so glad to see you listed it too! The term I've heard for when one order leads into a massive bulk rush and tons of orders is The Hug of Death. :)
All great tips but the one that sticks out to me is "You've got to be the boss and kick it into gear". You won't do anything without the hustle to get going and keep going!
Thanks for the video, Justin. I feel every time I watch one of your videos I have a pen and notepad ready because I learn so much. Keep firing those photons!
I want to say thank you. Ive been toying with the idea of starting my own business on the side doing engraving jobs. I currently work at a business where i engrave as an added service to the product we sell. Over the years ive had the ability to keep a good clientele but unfortunately i was at the mercy of the Business owner. I had to leave the shop for personal reasons and lost the inspiration. but recently i was able to come back and have made some new contacts with potential customers and so i have decided to chase this dream again as ive enjoyed it more than anything else i have done. Thank you again for your personal insight on it!
Great knowledge again Justin love how much value you are bringing the community from your years of experience. Dang it man I felt it in my soul when you talked about the podcast 😅 I really do hope that happens.
Thank you for your input! I don't understand why are there so few likes to this video because it's truly good and "both feet on the ground" information! May God bless you in abundance!
Thanks for info. As for # 1 (I haven't learned laser skill yet...) ,but do you have any recommendations for learning the business skills.I for a fact lack those skills but figured I could learn them ahead of time so when they are needed I have them. Thanks again for your videos.
Hey Ron. If this were the Justin Laser School of Small Laser Business I would first suggest learning a bit about Content Marketing. You wont have to incorporate everything you read into your own plan but taking this avenue is best way to get yourself out there without having to spend money on advertising. Attracting clients and customers is the toughest part so once you have them, figuring out pricing/logistics/taxes and all that stuff is much easier.
I really need to compile some sources. I try to pull different things from different people and combine it together. Im big on branding and "passive marketing". I dont even consider business ventures where I cant figure out a way to incorporate those ideas. I pull a lot of ideas from Gary V (love him or hate him) and Chris from The Futur here on RUclips.
Great content as always. I may be a cynic, but I suspect the people who are making the most money are those who are selling things to people HOPING to make money from their lasers. To borrow a joke from the photography world : What's the best way to make money with your laser? Sell it. 😆 J/K

A good and terrifying problem with an apt name haha. The new shop is looking sick!

A must have or it will be a tough outing haha
Agree local is where to start and can often be all you need.
Absolutely can be if you have the right locality.
Really enjoy your”kick in the backside” business advice!
Thank you! Cant be passive unless you like not having money haha.
Thanks for the video, Justin. I feel every time I watch one of your videos I have a pen and notepad ready because I learn so much.
Keep firing those photons!
Appreciate you watching and thanks for the kind words!
Like your down-to-earth 'you got to get out of bed, kill something, and drag it home' approach. Great content and better advice.
Haha appreciate it! I try to get everything done in 10 mins or less.
Thank your for being honest. So many youtubers makes videos about a business and neglect to state that they also depend on other sources of income.

Thanks! Proving much slower process than I thought it would be but it will happen.

I love these graphics and the B-Roll Justin! I know I should comment about the content - but you know I love watching your style :).
Thanks Katie! I knew filming random stuff many years ago in Low Def video would come in handy sometime lol.
Solid information, thank you.
Thanks so much Justin! You're the best podcaster in the laser space.
Another banger Justin! Nice work and keep it up. All of these couldn't be more true, #2 I can relate to the most though.
Thanks!! Oh yeah number 2 is crucial but you def put in the work with your vids!
Thank bro!

Great ideas, any recommodation on business side development? Everybody on youtube seems to be a business coach, but hard to tell who's got the point.
