I called my mom because I was craving her spaghetti but over the phone she tells me , a little bit of this and that, and I’m like someone has to have a recipe with actual measurements and then I found your video and I made it and tastes exactly like my mom’s! So thank you for providing measurements! It literally uses everything my mom uses, minus the ham, we eat it with milanesa on the side
My mom made soupita all the time w/ elbow macaroni with a lot if parmesan/Romano cheese on top! I miss it!!!!! She never put meat in it- I will have to try it like this and let u know... Looks yummy!
OMG 😍😍😍😍😍!!!! I give you a Million. Half of my family is hispanic and so i grew up on Spanish food, I never got to try this though 😃😃😃😃. I will have to ask my Uncle about it lol. I am brand new to your channel and I am SO glad I found you!!!! You are amazing! Muy bien 👏👏👏👏👏
OMG I every time I watch your videos I wish I was sitting at your dinning table :) You are just wonderful to watch and you explain so well which in my case is super. Thank You so very much for posting these. Nathalie.
Yum. Thank you for sharing this recipe. My daughter loves spaghetti and this seems much healthier than using sauce from a jar. Going to make this soon :)
I just, made this and it was wonderful. I used about 3/4 cup heavy cream cause thats what i had. I topped it with a mexican cheese blend of cheeses i had, didnt have anejo. Thank you so.much for this lovely recipe, we loved it.
Very nice recipe. I would like to just give a few pointers, when I took cooking classes the chef informed me that the only thing oil is good for when making pasta is making sure in the end that your sauce will not stick to your pasta! It doesn't help it not stick together. Stir for the first 2-3 minutes and then frequently after and your pasta won't stick together. It's also best not to break your pasta.
I've been wanting to make dis espagettii and i have but it came out horrible my daughter and husband luv it and i do too ders was a lady da wud make it but she has moved far away im gonna try and make it for my family thank u for sharing dis video have a blessed day 🙏❤😋
Wow great recipe, just had it for dinner. I had to add some basil because it was time to trim the plant and a little black pepper for taste. Just found you on the tube, thank you for sharing. Looking forward to trying some of your other recipes!
Thank you for sharing, I didn't know what to cook tonight? I'm now craving this easy delicious recipe. Now I have to see if I have ham and sour cream.
@howtocookmexicanfood, can you add 2 cups of Munster cheese or cream cheese to make it more cheesier? I know a lot of recipes add another type of cheese along with everything else you had in your recipe. Plus I’ve seen some people bake it in the oven and add a some cheese on top for 15-20 min or until the cheese on top is melted... is those things other options to add to this recipe as well? Thanks so much!
my favorite spaghetti . thank you for sharing this recipe. the only thing i do different is i brown my ham pieces more for color and they also add a more deeper flavor and also a little sugar {1-2 tbs.} to cut the acid from the tomatoes !!! have a great week !!!!
Anyone wishing to cook this generous recipe I admonish you to not cook the pasta for as long as she says or you will end up with a mushy pile of overcooked pasta. Pasta should be cooked 'al dente'...remaining firm to the bite. She cooked the pasta three different times and I just have a hard time believing the average cook won't overcook the pasta using this very LONG cooking time for pasta. Cook all the sauce steps seperate and after the sauce is done let it rest whilie you then cook the pasta per the box instructions and then after draining add o the sauce and serve....NEVER PUT OIL IN THE PASTA WATER! This only degrades the pasta. I lived in Latin America for years and owned a restaurant in Colombia. Latinos too often overcook the pasta which is a chef's sin. But his is just my advice. Buen Provecho
Not really a fan of sour cream. Yes, I know that is blasphemy but it is what it is. I might try this with regular cream instead because it sounds great otherwise.

Some of us hate al dente pasta. 😛
@@Losttoanyreason and even more people hate mushy pasta!!!
Thank you! People need to stop adding gotdang oil to the pasta water!!!!! It does no good to the pasta and it is just a waste of oil.
I put the american sour cream daisy and it made cured cheese.....was i supposed to use the mexican sour cream?
Junebug germanese use the Mexican sour cream - called crema Fresca - the kind that Mexican people use in their tacos. Don’t use our sour cream.
Or just use cream cheese, it's creamier and doesn't curd and you determine how much you want to use.
In other words - use stewed tomatoes - skip a few steps. Looking forward to trying...looks delish
This is my first time i saw someone put tomato in spaghetti and blend it with onion and garlic to the blender.
what is chicken bouillon powder? 🤔
Omg I mom makes that I'm Mexican
I'm guessing that spaghetti is not al dente.
🖒
Can you use cream cheese instead of sour cream???
Leonel Lara Jr no
Yes
Absolutely. My mom would use cream cheese and I like the texture and flavor it gives it. A lot creamier
I eat this a lot but with no ham
Not really a fan of sour cream. Yes, I know that is blasphemy but it is what it is. I might try this with regular cream instead because it sounds great otherwise.
oyes hablas inglés, no sabia :-)
my mom makes this with laurel y sal chicha
half cube of chicken what???
chicken bouillon
We make this without the ham.
Just a *little* bit of salt😹
You said you have to try it. No boo we ain't gotta try it
do i boil tomatoes or just blend them uncooked?
Bianca Pasion I put them in the blender uncooked, turned out very good
