Paula N. Nowak same here. any suggestions for lightening it up just a bit? I use whole grain spaghetti because its better for my diabetes. (Newly diagnosed so Im still learning.) A nice salad and crusty sour dough, it would be a nice meal. yum.
This is similar to Fettucine Alfredo, Paula - substitute basil for parsley and cream and parmesan for the flour and milk - also delicious and very quick!
This video was far better than I thought it was going to be. So used to seeing American takes on pasta. Glad to know that the Spanish know how to cook. The moment I saw flour and milk, I was like "YES BECHAMEL! not a glass worth of heavy cream for once".
Thankyou for keeping us sane and well fed during the Pandemic. Your simple and delicious recipes have grabbed our attention and given us something to look forward to. Happy New Year Albert! . 🎆
I have to watch his videos twice because the first time, I'm always so mesmerized by the beauty of his voice that I can't pay attention. 🥰🤗 Then I watch again to get the recipe. I'll definitely be trying this tonight!
So I tried it yesterday for me and my girlfriend. I have to say that I was sceptical and I thought it couldn't compete with one of my favorite dishes aglio olio . But I was wrong this is absolutely delicious. Thanks a lot for sharing it! This time the RUclips algorithm did me good
This dish was bonkers easy to make and unbelievably yummy! 🤤🤤🤤It was so good I made it 2 nights in a row and sent the recipe to my daughter! 💯 I always look forward to your Beautiful recipes. I love the way you shoot your videos with the beautiful music in the background and clear, easy, concise steps!! You’re awesome!! Peace, blessings and appreciation from Cleveland Ohio☮️🙏🏼🤓
i Agree. I'm vegetarian, and avoid cheese as much as I can, (I KNOW,SO SAD) & this has the creamy base like cheese, with garlic and salt w/ pepper to really round it out like a CHEESE! It is going to now be my staple for any sudden cheesey impulses! lol
Beautiful. Since I live alone I usually cook pasta fresh for each meal and add the sauce in a smaller bowl to finish it up. Not as good as cooking all the pasta in all of the sauce, but it works okay. I must make this.
I can smell the garlic from here, looks amazing! Perfect dish for when you've partied a bit too much over the holiday week. Can't wait till you make a caldo gallego *hint hint*
@@Abc-kf4qx you’re right that veganism isn’t a diet but a philosophy of doing our very best not to hurt living creatures. I’m sorry you think that a political statement but Albert has a few times mentioned that so many of his recipes are vegan or can be made vegan friendly. That was my point.
@@juliewake4585 well I wish that were true but it’s not. The idea of vegan hurts local organic, free range farmers and ranchers. Go ahead and make that choice but promoting it hurts other people because the intent of vegan is to abolish their way of life. Humans are undeniably omnivores by nature. And please let’s not take the high road with don’t want to hurt another living being, have you been supporting your local pro-life advocates? Doubt it.
@julie woke, and there it is…good luck with your elitist, woke, lefty ideology. It’s this type of thinking that’s tearing our society apart. Your hateful attitudes are masked by a lot of “caring” rhetoric. You’re not fooling anyone but yourself.
I missed this gorgeous recipe the first time around, but RUclips kindly brought it up for me. Wow, what a delicious cream sauce -- and because it's basically a simple bechamel, you don't have to use cream! You can even use a plant-based milk. Perfect.
I just tried this recipe and it was good and easy to add too! I ended up using a few extra things to help use my left over ingredients as well as a few extra spices i usually like to cook with. I would highly recommend this recipe! For a cheesier taste, this is what I used: some butter/less olive oil as well as some cream cheese and less milk (since i had too much of one and not enough of the other) and a little bit of left over shredded cheese. I also added some yellow and jalapeño pepper to the oil/butter and garlic as it cooked. And for spices I added paprika, parsley flakes, and red pepper flakes (since i like spicier foods) alongside the oregano. I also added a little extra flour and butter/oil for the peppers.
Amazing video, and the dish looks great! I will definitely be making this! I am so happy that you give the actual amounts for the ingredients (I've been watching a lot of cooking videos and everyone wants to talk about how many grams of everything, which leaves me confused and wondering, "Okay, how many teaspoons is that"), so the fact that you give both the weight (for the people that like that) and the actual measurement makes yours my new favorite cooking channel on RUclips. Loved this video and you earned my subscription so I look forward to more!
You did an awesome job with this! It's one of my go-to dishes during the week when I feel lazy. Sometimes I mix it up by adding shrimp or some vegetables to it. Great job as usual!
I honestly regret that I watched that video! My cooking plans are very different for today, but now I want this!!! I´d trade all the fine dish I´d expect for this meal. But I´ll cook it the day after tomorrow...
I just had this for dinner. I simmered some tinned chickpeas and sliced leeks with the pasta. I used good quality Steenbergs powdered garlic and added 2 tsp Marigold Bouillon powder to the sauce, which adds flavour. (Marigold Bouillon is highly recommended by Delia Smith). I also put in some pasta water. I used basil instead of parsley as that was all I had. I stirred some chopped tomatoes in. I like the fact that the sauce was made with olive oil rather than butter.
I just made this with a bit of chicken, it was soooo easy, which is a very important factor because I am lazy!! And it was delicious!! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
This was so good and it was even easy enough for me and 11 year old to make but it did take more that four minutes for the sauce to thicken Edit: i made it again today but didn’t have garlic so i made it with garlic confit and garlic oil instead of olive oil and it was so good i loved it
just made this and it was lovely! had to skip the parsley since i didn't have any, but added onions and sweetcorn and it was really good! just so quick to make too, thank you for sharing :D
Absolutely delicious, I made this for dinner tonight! I only added half a head of garlic, and it made it a bit bland, so maybe I'll add more the next time I make this, because there definitely will be a next time! I mixed it up by adding some frozen chopped spinach as well as frozen basil and parsley.
Hallelujah! Thank you! I’ve been looking for a quick, genuinely easy, uncomplicated yet tasty recipe for a creamy garlic sauce for ages! Also one where I don’t have to use cream! Here it is! 🤸🏾♀️ Can’t wait to try it. I’m a little pasta bonkers at the moment 😜, so this is perfect. THANKS! 🙌🏾 I’ve liked and subbed 😁. You have a fab day! ☀️ 🍷 😉
This is just what I was looking for! I don't have any cheese to add for a pasta and all of the recipes I have seen so far call for it! Will come back after I finish cooking :) Thank you!

this looks really good and i try and find time to make it soon though might i suggest adding some dried minced onion to the water as you set it to boil it will add some subtle onion flavor
My linguine awaits this garlic creamy goodness. Until I started watching your channel, I never knew how prevalent garlic was in Spain, and how much. I love garlic. Well, off to the store for fresh parsley, several bundles, cause I gotta make more chimichurri sauce too.
I am going to make this tomorrow! By the way, wanted to thank you deeply for using all the ingredients in your bowls. I cringe when I see some of the YT vids where they give a tiny dump and the rest, still clinging to the sides, gets thrown away. Bravo to you! Thanks!
