the ensemble backings vocals really make this song. they add so much power and really hypes up the audience and the solo singer. they should 100% get recognition too
The moral of this song is this:

The Oscars are out of touch? Big shock. It's bad enough that they didn't nominate The Greatest Showman for a single award but they couldn't even give them the one award it actually deserved. I hate to pull my own race card but as far as this Hispanic is concerned, This is Me was a *far* more relevant and reflective song of our people than Remember Me was, which was actually ironically forgettable.
Peter Franks excuse you, I agree with Remember Me not being representive of us. But remember me is anything but forgettable. It made me cry, it was so emotional and sweet.
I think it’s clear why it didn’t get nominated. The character it was based on and how it idolises him after what he did back in the day...
Besides, the movie is basically Donald Trump the musical; very apt since Barnum was literally the Trump of his era.
