Wasn’t as big of a fan of them back then as now. Definitely appreciate and like their music more. Glad they all voted this one. Enjoyed watching you watch and react to this.
I just saw them live two weeks ago (the 12th time I’ve seen them perform dating back to the 80’s) and they are still phenomenal! Such underrated musicians. One of my all time favorite bands!
As a Queen fan I always loved TOTO... Steve Lukather's guitar playing is comparable with Brian May's... as in making te guitar to sing! 🎸 He's also a master of love songs! Like this lesser-known track called 'Melanie' (1999) 🔥
The drummer's shuffle beat in this song is legendary and has influenced music significantly to this day. FYI the name TOTO is pronounced the same as the little dog in "The Wizard Of Oz".
Love this reaction! I agree with you about the West Side Story and Greece connection. This is literally my favorite song by Toto. Keep up the great work!
💕🎶🙏💥 Great idea Hap!! Let YT decide, if you have a multiple tie situation! This was quite a popular song 🎵 and along with "Africa" kept Toto on the charts. They are still around and will be touring with Journey. They were definitely on a portion of the soundtrack of my youth😊. Most certainly a jam 🎸. I really enjoyed your reaction Hap. Loving when you read the comments. BTW-TOE TOE Peace J ✌ ☮💕🦂
@@detlevschoen4753 FYI-original lead singer/keyboardist Gregg Rollie has reunited with the band for some tour dates and may be part of the lineup again. Journey has has a number of member shakeup of late, so who knows!!
Lol, it's pronounced Toe Toe 😂 but dang it, I was going to comment, this reminds me of West Side Story with Sandy, from Grease playing the girl, you beat me to it. Great reaction, as always! Why I love this channel, never know what's going to pop up. ✌️ ☮️ 🎶 🎵 ❤
Have never seen the video before. (Another song in my head before you started) Was getting West Side Story vibes before you mentioned it. Other thoughts were, from the start, Ohhhh those shoes hurt! 😂
Did you recognize Patrick Swayze and Cynthia Rhodes dancing? (From Dirty Dancing). Oh and the part you said looked like West Side Story was actually like Michael Jackson’s Beat It video…Toto’s (late) drummer Jeff Porcaro played the drums on the Beat It record.
Surprised you didn't pick out Patrick Swayze in the video...he made a cameo appearance, as did Cynthia Rhodes, his costar in Dirty Dancing and in Staing Alive.
HAP, you're spot on with your analysis🤩. First of all, yes you've already reacted to their song "Hold The Line" and they also sang "Africa". Pronounce "Toto" as in "Solo". Second, seeing it as a cross between Westside Story and Grease is a perfect comparison. And here's a fun fact, the dancing lady "Rosanna" here is the same actress as in the movie "Dirty Dancing". Cynthia Rodes played "Penny" there. Other than that, a fantastic, recognizable tune to sing along to and stick in your head. I also love the combination of different instruments and tempo changes. Awsome reaction HAP, thank you 🥰🙋🏻♀.
Great musicianship! Yes, Toto also sang Africa, and Hold the line you reacted to already
This is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head for years 😂 absolutely love the song! ❤️ Wonderful reaction HAP! 🥰🔥🥰

Michael Jackson Thriller had some of this bands members all over it in the studio.
This is a real 80s classic ear-worm. I still love it, to this day. I wish that more music these days still have this sort of sound.
"2-2" Love it.

TOTO has so many great songs! You might try, "I Won't Hold You Back", "Georgy Porgy", "I'll Be Over You", and "99". All great songs!
Awesome song. The band's name is pronounced "Toe-Toe," like Dorothy's Cairn terrier dog from "The Wizard of Oz."

Hi .. Thanks... When and where will Toto and Journey play?
Oh wow Jill, that sounds interesting. Journey on tour with Toto as special guest. It's hard to believe that both groups still touring - awsome 🤩🙋🏻♀
Great news indeed! 🔥

This song was written for actress Rosanna Arquette . Great song 🎼🎵🎶They were an item for awhile
Peter Gabriel also wrote "In Your Eyes" for her.
Urban myth...the song was not written "for" her.
Didn't know that.....myth or not 😊
@@Amy_just_loves_music Not a myth, it's a fact.
@@guyswing Were you alive when he said in an interview that he wrote the song for her???????
Great song and stunning girl in the video!
Great easy-going song fantastic musical arrangement. Also loved the choreography!! And cinematography!! Loved your analogy, bright and on point! 💜🎵

Patrick Swayze is a dancer in this video as well. The lead dancer and Patrick were in the movie Dirty Dancing together
@@debra7105 ohh, than I've seen correct. I was not sure. Haha, great connections, thank you Debra 😊🙋🏻♀.
Education! I thought the girl looked familiar but I could not place her. Now I know! Thanks!

@Nanner, Patrick is easy to miss in this video. I miss him too. He was a phenomenal dancer. So very sad.
It's pronounced toe toe
You should check out Gorgy Porgy. It’s my fave
So good. I would love to hear your reaction to Dan Vasc cover of Amazing Grace . His talent is incredible
