Rosanna Arquette is the 2nd most written about woman in rock. With this song, and "In your eyes" by Peter Gabriel, she is the most popular muse from the 80s. Patti Boyd, ex wife of Eric Clapton and George Harrison is the most written about woman ever. ( I want to tell you, for you blue, something, within you without you,/Bell bottom blues, wonderful tonight, and Layla were all about her. )
This band started in the late 70's & has been performing for over 40 years now. They mix all types of genres in their sound. They have had some great hits such as "Africa", "I'll Supply The Love", "Georgy Porgy", "99", "Make Believe", "Stranger In Town", "I'll Be Over You", "Without Your Love", "Stop Loving You", "Pamela" etc.
Little fun fact: Mike Porcaro (RIP), the second and the longest bassist for Toto, when rehearsing this would call the pre-chorus as the church section, he would say "let's take it to church now", all this according to an interview to Greg Bissonnette, who step on the drums during a tour in Europe in 1995
Fantastic group of extremely talented musicians. The second singer handling the higher part is Joseph Williams, son of legendary composer John Williams. Watch their 35th Anniversary concert taped in Poland in 2013. Amazing performance.
Hi again Britt, TOTO is a team of professional studio musicians that have played for some of the greatest artists out there; but they got together, formed this "Elite Band" and as you can see & hear this is "LIVE" which just goes to show just how great they are!!! I would encourage you in your spare time, to listen to the studio version or the official video to this song and you will completely understand what I'm talking about!!! Happy movin', groovin' & listening!!!
Saw them 3 times live. Toto is one of the best bands musically from the 70's and 80's. So many great songs!! Live from Poland 40th anniversary album, one of the best!
Amen on live verses studio. Amazing on how old they are in this concert and still sounding so good!! Thank you for bringing back classic music. Other songs are Africa, You Supply The Love, Hold The Line. To name a couple. God Bless!!!
Toto are on another level of talent. You could rope all the musicians on the AT40 right now and combine their talents together and they STILL would NEVER hold a CANDLE to these guys! These boys sold a combined 500,000 albums across their careers, backing up musicians as legendary as Elton John, Steely Dan, and MICHAEL JACKSON!

Steve Lukather and keyboardist Steve Porcaro were session players on MJ's Thriller. Steve co-wrote Human Nature with Michael Jackson. Among many many other albums. Steve plays all the synthesizers.
Rosanna is my favorite song of all songs ever. Love that you liked it so much. Toto were big in the 80's but they are still going strong. I saw them last year in Gothenburgh in sweden. They are soooo good live. They have many more good songs. Africa is maybe their biggest hit. I think you will love that song as well. Hold the line, Pamela and Can't stop loving you. You can listen to them if you want. Love your reactions ❤️
