How do I fix RUclips stuttering?
This fix works with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 10.
Why does my RUclips sound choppy? I will show you How to Fix Sound or Audio Problems on Windows 10. I have be plagued with audio issues on Windows 10, I get interference when recording audio, I suffer a number of issues with audio, like popping, crackling, stuttering and when playing games I get robotic voice which is probably cause by buffer underrun and the same goes when streaming audio.
Stuttering audio, Sound Lag and Crackling Audio when stream videos on RUclips, these are all very common and hopefully this fix will resolve your problem.
Why is Windows 10 causing audio distortion/stuttering with Realtek?

Ahhh THANK YOU! I've been having crackling and popping issues with Windows 10 while using Ableton Live 10 for months. It was driving me crazy. I tried 2 different audio interfaces and many other things with no luck. While watching this video I disabled windows 10 audio enhancements and immediately ALL of the crackling and popping stopped. Life saver.

  • @Siberius-

The fuzzy crackling went away before I did anything, which is poor timing. So I'll have to check back in hopefully some time, to see if this worked. I was about to roll back to the previous driver, but yea.
As far as disabling all the audio enhancements... that really sucks the life out of the audio, in a way. I'll see if the other changes worked first.
Edit: Okay that didn't work. I didn't change the audio enhancements though, and I didn't do the more in depth stuff towards the end of the video.
But rolling back my audio driver to the previous one, fixed everything instantly.
My past driver was also delaying audio most of the time after I press play on youtube. It would only play the sound half a second later. Now it's instantly. So that's very good.

In my case, installing an older Realtek LAN driver (version 10.28.615.2018) did it.
Longer version: I'm on Windows 10 and using AMD's HDMI audio driver. I have the Realtek audio chip disabled in the BIOS. LatencyMon pointed the network driver as the source of the problem. Tried changing the power settings (both OS's and LAN driver), as well as a few other things. To no avail. Removing the current Realtek LAN driver and installing the previous version solved the constant audio problems.

I never turned on the internet until I finished this installation!
Don't let other processes install chipset drivers instead of the originals!
I installed everything else normally after that.
I found that, in my case, the problem lay in the conflict with the chipset drivers.

    Thanks for the tips.
However, regarding 7:14 - I get no option for enabling high performance, with balanced as the only possible option, so that kinda becomes a roadblock :S
(EDIT: Was since able to fix it by creating a new power plan and setting it as high performance)
Latencymon gave me a big red message though, referring to clicking and popping, smiliar to the message you received in the video. So something seems wrong :)

2:50...in my case I had nvidea and realtek running at the same time...disabling Nvidea made an huge difference.
You may also have windows of mircosoft audiodrivers...where your motherboard originally had realtek drivers, remove those windowsdrivers..install realtek again.
with realtek you get the realtek soundmanager by clicking on the red icon under the arrow in your taskbar.
    * make sure you check the drivers after updating windows, or your graphic card, because microsoft and Nvidea are very eager to force their drivers in your system.

Perfect Timing... as I'm having crackling & popping when I play a YT Vid while recording/making a new video about the content in played video. It's been driving me crazy !! The webcam audio "of me" is fine, but the video sound being played while making a new video always turned out poor quality. It's very confusing as the new video used the same webcam mic. Thumbs Up!!

I’ve only managed to have one problem with this, when you use the “advanced power settings” and you put it for high performance, My computer has no option to choose it and only shows the stuff above it and because of this, I still appear to have little static pops during my time. How do I fix this?

    • @antonystringfellow5152

You might find that the option is in a different place... mine was. Even the first sound popup menu on my laptop is not the same as the one shown here... there is no "sounds" option. I won't tell you how to find it as it makes no difference anyway. Best advice I can give you... switch to Linux. Windows 10 is a nightmare.
