this same problem has happened more than a dozen times and yet this cage diving tour operators still make cages with HUGE openings even though they know that if a shark goes in by accident it can't swim backwards and it would be stuck .The perfect definition of idiotism - "repeating the same action over and over and expecting to get a different result every time" LOL

Those cage operators are nothing more than arrogant profiteers. They're happy to risk people and just 'hope' a shark doesn't get in while having cages with a giant gap. Only a matter of time before someone gets attacked in those stupid things. Totally reckless and irresponsible.

A recent investigation into diver safety has been published and the investigation found that all shark cages were manufactured by one of three major manufacturing companies. And all three manufacturing companies were owned by the same parent company. And this parent company has a board of directors consisting entirely of sharks.
This is why all shark cages have a wide bit at the top so the shark can get in.

the gaps between the cages should be such that the shark could not get through there

The thing I don't get is that I've seen soo many videos of "the shark grabbed the chum and was swimming blind and dove into the cage and got caught in between that big ass gap and thrashed around while the people tried to escape"... etc. Why tf don't they build cages without that big gap? Then this would literally never happen again! Easily solved.

So this is his first time? I just watched a video of a guy who had never been diving with sharks and he decided to leave the cage minutes after they lowered him. He dident get hurt or anything

Idk why those diver were afraid. It’s only a thousand pound shark with razor sharp big three rows of teeth stuck in the cage with them. Some people are wimps
