These are fantastic recommendations. When last I visited, I was lucky enough to have experienced a few of these, but the quality you highlight here, will only make my next trip to Paris, all the more enjoyable. Huge kudos mon ami.
Merci for the recommendations. Tomorrow is my last day, and I hope to get in a couple more shopping places. I also would recommend the seasonal sections at the Grand Magasins for great gift/souvenirs. Also, Monoprix has good decor items at a good price.
Great choices and locations. I would add Bernachon Chocolatier, just down the street from La Grand Epicerie. Jaques Genin's pates de fruits and chocolates are amazing. Laurent Dubois has a great selection of Comté. Can't wait to get back to Paris!
It may be weird, but after 35 years of visiting Paris, we have never bought a souvenir to bring back... But those Confiture Parisienne and Angelina Hot Chocolate looked like something we will try in next years trips to Paris.
The pates de fruit and the mango/passion fruit caramels from Genin are frequent buys to bring home. They don’t recommend freezing the caramels but IMO it works fine. I ration them fiercely. The Rue de Bac location is more convenient for me, and it’s not far at all from the Bon Marché on Rue de Sevres.
Note: the Confiture you need to check in, cannot bring on board in carry on. My Maman confiture was taken when go thru Security, they consider confiture as Liquid !
My preference since I travel with carry-ons only are small souvenirs made in that country or locally. Food items are temporary but objects are more long lasting. I have to carry all of those souvenirs from place to place. Coming home I also don't want to be sent for an Agriculture inspection.
I’m the same. I actually do like to bring home food souvenirs but I’m feeling the recommendations here are more orientated towards people within the EU where taking foods across the border is so relaxed as to be non existent. Whereas my country Australia, has strict regulations on what you can bring in. Obviously things like chocolates and biscuits are easy (I’ve brought those in) but meats, dairy, things with nuts and herbs etc can be very dicey and in the case of meats a strict no. That ready made chocolate milk drink would also be a strict ‘no’. Cheese would also be confiscated.

With great pleasure, my friend!

You can find them at La Grande Épicerie ans also at Lafayette Gourmet.
@@paristoptips Love La Grande Épicerie, a Paris must do.
Definitely
Thank you very much, useful content.
Glad you think so!

I agree!
I'm more into sweets than chocolate, so their caramel and pâtes de fruit are a delight for me!😁

Then maybe in the last shop I showed you'd find an interesting Made in France souvenir 🙂
Marin Montagut, 48 Rue Madame
Yes, another interesting boutique.
La Maison du chocolat est le meilleur chocolatier de Paris, bien supérieur à Genin
Bien aussi, c'est sûr. Quant à dire que la Maison du Chocolat est bien supérieure, je vous laisse la paternité de votre avis !
