I need a video that shows step by steps on how to use the sampler. How to cut up slices and more details on sampling and cutting slices etc. I know how to sample and I know how to cut up slices and what not but I need more in depth details on what everything means. For example.. I'm having an issue where I want to cut two different slices from two different parts of an overall sample but I don't want to have all the sound that's inbetween the first and the second sample. I currently go about doing this by having sample 1 (slice 1) and then sample 2 or slice two but the noise inbetween those two samples or slices I do not want and I'm unsure on how to get rid of the stuff inbetween the samples.

I just got an MPC One. I was at my wits end trying to finger out how to change the Octave of a sound (while in the Tube Synth Plug-in). Without changing the Octave the Pad A01 is super low. Frustrated I turned to Tube Digga and sure enough within 10 minutes, I see it was the Pad Bank buttons!!!!! Props to Tube Digga.
Did something change with the full and half level options? When I hold shit and hit the full level button it turns yellow for half level. It does not flash like yours did. Also I don't have that MCS (Multi Core System) sticker on mine under the date wheel. It says it on the box but no sticker on the system. I bought it new too.
You shouldn’t hold shit man, that’s gross! 😂 No, nothing changed with those buttons. Holding shift does half level as double tapping does full level. I think you can also cycle through the three modes too.
@@TUBEDIGGA that's not where you would enter in the number of times you want the pre count set for example I want 8 bars pre count before it starts recording it's only set at 4, what your referring to is the rate meaning 1/8th or 1/4th ie 4/4 timing, listen to the clicks in the metronome changes when you go from 1/4 to 1/8 that's not what asking I'm saying I want 8 bar count off instead of 4
Could you PLEASE tell me why my automation buttons do not work? out of the four in the group, only the mute button works the other three DO NOTHING. I can do automation using the touch screen buttons, but the hard buttons Do Nothing. Help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Oh yeah and in a way it's better that you show on the fly/unplanned. Cause that way we see how to do things in real life, like we have to do ourselves. (Ex. When you didn't already have a sample loaded to demonstrate 16 levels.) One love from Canada...
It’s a funny one, I really like it and if I still had a Live I’d probably upgrade to the Force but it’ll never replace my MPCX. It’s a decent machine, I just think for people predominantly into hip hop/boombap then it’s probably a bit too dance oriented - even though you can make anything you like with it.
Thanks for this......Subbed First time MPCX n00b So is there a faster way (Short cut) to switch between sequences? I know about the"next Seq" button just thought there was a faster way? regards, rick P.S "SHIFT" + "MENU" = Preferences
The quickest way is in next sequence mode with SUDDEN activated. Other than that, from the main page by manually switching sequence using your data wheel when focussed on the sequence area.
Hi-I was wondering...for someone using the 2000xl, would the command functionality be the same? for instance, shift+program to edit a sound’s frequency, shift+trim to trim a sample etc...many thanks for your videos as well!
Can anyone help me out with a question I have before I pull the trigger on the MPC X: I have a two hardware synths and a Moog Spectravox that I wish to connect at the same time to the MPC, but how is this possible via the rear panel? Can you connect two stereo signals and one mono all at the same time?
@@AngelWildBlue You can connect two as you have inputs 1/2 and 3/4. But unfortunately you can only select one of those at a time. The best solution is to use a mixer, you only need a cheap small one with at least four inputs.
Thanks for sharing 👍! Subscribed set to order mine soon and studying up. This is very useful for me since I am new to all this. Old school rock guitar player here but learning some basics on my mpk mini mk3 for now! Thanks again. Can't wait to get mine and improve my music on my channel, if you check it out they are mostly old songs trying to go thru the library to update songs!
Not really. If it’s a random drum sample or sound effect or musical loop, that will have its own pitch and it’s up to you to tune it etc. You can load it into a drum program and tune it or a keygroup program and that will map it across multiple keys chromatically. Some samples are tuned to a scale and some are completely random so it’s up to you to tune it once it’s in memory if necessary
Hey man, this is really good guide. Im a guitar player, would you be able to tell me how to connect my OX box into my MPc X ( universal Audio attenuator/modelling amp device ? I play my guitar through the OX box as it's used as my modeling amp device for my guitar ) many thanks for any help with this?
Guitar into OX Box, audio cables out of Ox Box into the rear inputs (1/2) of the MPC if the OX Box outputs line level which I assume it does. If it’s instrument level then use the front inputs. Use the silver switches above the main data wheel to select front or rear. Then go to the sampler and switch on the monitor so you can hear what’s coming in. Also make sure the input setting reflects the physical inputs your Ox Box is connected to. For more info please check out my Masterclass course which covers this in detail: courses.tubedigga.com
@@TUBEDIGGA this is extremely helpful advice- yes - ox box does have line two outputs at its back ! hey TD, this mpcx can record voice ? and cutting it? and adjusting it ? without complitely restart form the beginning? eventually the voice appeare in segment or wave up the video ? thank you bye
gabriella del rosso Yes it can record anything you like. There’s many ways it can play back, with or without restarting. If you record or import vocals to an audio track then you can play it from any position without restarting. If you’re triggering a similar longer sample from a drum program then depending on how long it is or how much it’s chopped and triggered along the way, you may have to restart it as it’s using midi and needs a trigger to play. Check out my video on acapellas to audio tracks, that may help. It’s in my MPC tutorials playlist

gabriella del rosso Yes, you can do it manually or there is also a function called PUNCH IN recording so if you mess up, you can set up to record in a specific location.
